Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: With the Normandy's mission in disarray following the fall of Thessia, Melody ordered the ship back to the Citadel to pursue a different lead. She visited Dr Garret Bryson at his laboratory. A researcher into the Reapers' history, he believed that he had identified a Reaper-killer, dubbed Leviathan, that was responsible for the Reaper corpse that had been found in batarian space. Unfortunately, he was murdered by his apparently-indoctrinated lab technician Derek Hadley before he could reveal anything more. Using evidence gleaned from Bryson's research, Melody and EDI determined that Dr Garneau, Bryson's research assistant, had been following a lead in the Aysur system in the Caleston Rift. Scans of the system indicated a Reaper presence on the mining asteroid Mahavid. Melody took her biotic boom squad to the mining facility, finding the entire mining staff acting as though in trances, passively demanding that the party leave. There was clear evidence that they had been acting in isolation for some time, and the facility had been repurposed for haphazard scientific research, for reasons unknown. In the facility's medical bay, the squad encountered an individual who initially answered to Garneau's name before deteriorating into yet another seemingly-indoctrinated thrall and fleeing into the mines. The party pursued him and found Reaper troops heading in the same direction. They put up some resistance, but nothing the squad couldn't handle (no player deaths, Liara dropped once). Melody eventually found the man claiming to be Garneau in a sealed room, along with an artefact of some kind. He blew the artefact up, along with himself, at which point the Reapers withdrew and the miners awoke from their ten-year trance. Things to look at: The Paragade interrogation technique assumes guilt: I'd never taken the Renegade interrupt here before. It fits Melody's interrogation style quite nicely: With Kaidan. This pic is largely for dmc1001 's appreciation: And again: Who needs a Blackstar when you have an armour-piercing Indra and two biotic friends? My favourite part of the video is that husk at the very beginning, though.

Ahmed Shepard: 1. Took a cab to Liara's apartment on Illium. When Ahmed arrived, he saw that it was now a crime scene. A Spectre named Tela Vasir told him that someone had tried to assassinate Liara and she was gone. After some snooping, Ahmed found a data drive that showed Liara had found some information on the Shadow Broker and was going to Barria Frontiers in the Dracon Trade Center.
2. When Vasir and Shepard arrived at the Trade Center, it was immediately bombed. Shepard went up to go find Liara, and soon encountered the Shadow Broker's private merc band. shepard soon reunited with Liara, and Liara told him that Vasir was responsible for the attack and was trying to get the data from Liara. Vasir ran and Ahmed gave chase.
3. Vasir eventually took a car, and Shepard and Liara gave chase in a cab. Ahmed managed to cause Vasir to crash. After getting ambushed by more mercs in a parking lot, Ahmed gave pursued Vasir again and finally caught up to her. Desperate, Vasir grabbed a hostage. Ahmed was angry, and shot through the hostage, hitting Vasir and causing her to drop the hostage. After a long fight, Ahmed finally dropped Vasir for good. Liara used the data to track down the Shadow Broker's (and Feron's) location.
4. The Shadow Broker was on a ship flying in the middle of a constant storm. Ahmed and Liara, along with Morinth (posing as Samara) skirted along the top of the ship, looking for a way in. The Shadow Broker's mercs tried to stop them all along the way, culminating in a big battle while Ahmed fought to defend a hatch while Liara's bypass program worked to unlock it.
5. Inside, they found more Shadow Broker mercs waiting for them. The mercs fared as well as the mercs outside (they all died). Ahmed and Liara found Feron strapped in to a chair that would occasionally torture him with electrical shocks. The chair was hooked up to the information network, meaning that they had to shut down the network to free him. The off switch was in central operations where the Shadow Broker was located.
6. Ahmed and Liara finally met face to face with the Shadow Broker. The Shadow Broker was of a species Ahmed did not recognize, but Liara deduced was a Yahg, a pre-spaceflight species that had murdered the Citadel Council's first contact team about a year ago. Ahmed was not pleased to learn that the Shadow Broker suspected that 'Samara' was actually Morinth.
7. After a brief fight, Ahmed and Liara killed the Shadow Broker and cut off the network, freeing Feron. However, sensing an opportunity, Liara took control of the network and assumed the mantle of Shadow Broker. Ahmed used a terminal and got a weapon upgrade.

More Ahmed Shepard: 1. Ahmed went to the location of some smuggled cargo that was provided by Aria. Ahmed managed to save all 20 crates from YMIR mechs. Then he went back to the Shadow Broker ship and got a weapon upgrade.
2. While scanning some planets, Ahmed discovered an illegal Archaelogical dig site overrun by the Blue Suns. He landed and took them all when they attacked. At the site, he discovered some messages from Vido Santiago, the head of the entire Blue Suns operation. Santiago is clearly a scumbag and Ahmed cannot wait to kill his sorry ass when he goes with Zaeed to take him out. He also discovered a data pad containing a message about a freighter called the Strontium Mule that the Blue Suns had under control. Then Ahmed went back to the Shadow Broker ship and got a weapon upgrade.
3. Ahmed boarded the Strontium Mule that was controlled by the Blue Suns. Unsurprisingly, the Blue Suns aboard the vessel were greedy and ruthless. They had killed the entire crew of the ship, but it also appeared that several of them were preparing to turn on each other because the cargo it contained was so valuable. Ahmed killed them all with extreme prejudice, then went back to the Shadow Broker ship and got a weapon upgrade.
4. Cerberus had tracked down the location of the Blue Suns' ambush site, where they were sending out some false signals and attacking ships that investigated. Ahmed killed all the mercs at the site and two YMIR mechs, then destroyed the false signal.
5. EDI intercepted a distress call from a moon in a nearby system. Batarian terrorists had attacked an Alliance outpost and were sending some Javelin missiles to the capital city and an Alliance spaceport. Ahmed killed the terrorists, but was forced to choose between saving the capital city or the spaceport. He chose the spaceport because of its strategic significance.

It's possible to get that in other places in ME2, too: - the "mystery drink" in the bar at Nos Astra triggers it
- if Shepard mixes a purple cocktail from the red and blue drinks on the counter in the crew lounge and then drinks it
I wonder if there are others? Oooh, I didn't know you can mix those drinks! I shall try this soon! Honestly, I think Devlon is the Shepard I made drunk the most so far. Poor bugger I have no idea about other places and if there's another instance of this effect. I guess you can drink at Dark Star too? I'll just get Devlon more drunk next time I'm there Continued a bit more today as well. "Hi Alec, we picked up another addition for the team. We headed to Purgatory, a prison ship located in the Hourglass Nebula. The Illusive Man had negotiated for the release of someone called Jack, a strong biotic. And obviously, a criminal. When we arrived, the warden of the ship, a turian named Kuril, welcomed us and after a little hassle (they wanted us to give up our guns), showed us where to go to pick up Jack. This prison wasn't too pleasant. We've seen the guards torture a prisoner, until I stepped in and asked if this was really necessary. They let go of him. When we reached our destination, Kuril suddenly announced over the speakers that I'd be a very valuable prisoner and tried to capture us. His guards were no match for us and we then hurried to find Jack. Jack was still in cryo, so I released her. Yes, her. I had expected a man with that name, but it was a woman with a shaved head, covered in tattoos. She looked small, but immediately showed what kind of biotic power we were talking about. It was pretty amazing to watch this. She left behind 3 large broken mechs and escaped. We followed her, and saw how all hell had broken loose. Getting Jack out of cryo also had released the other prisoners, which was actually an advantage for us because they started fighting the guards. We got through the prison ship in one piece and even settled the score with that bloody warden. We had to fight him, and I definitely won't be sad he's gone. With that over, our path to Jack was clear. I shot another guard behind her before he could do any harm and thought Jack would appreciate what I did. She didn't, because she had seen our ship flying Cerberus colours and accused me of being a part of them. Never ever, but how could she know. I tried to convince her that I'm only temporarily working with them, and asked her to come with us. Purgatory was going down anyway, so she agreed if I'd give her access to Cerberus's databases on the Normandy. I was fine with that. She seemed to hate Cerberus, so she could be an ally. Back on our ship there was some tension between Jack and Miranda, and Jack went off to settle in on the lower deck. I gave her some time and talked with the others. I learned that Mordin was involved with updating the genophage. He told me he delibaretly didn't tell me last time we chatted, when he said he and his team had studied the genophage. Now he confessed they found that the krogan were adapting to it. And that they had to keep them in check once more. I always thought the genophage was a mistake, but when I said that Mordin reminded me of everything the krogan had done, or what they could potentially do if the genophage didn't keep them in check. I don't know. Yes, they were in the wrong during the rebellions, and I still remember everything we read about that time in school, but the Council, the turians and the salarians were just as much at fault as them. What they did was conniving. But I don't know. Perhaps Mordin is right. Would there be another krogan rebellion? Too many krogan overrunning the galaxy? I don't know. I'd love to know what you'd think about it. But it doesn't matter anyway. The genophage is still doing its job, no matter our opinion. I paid Jack a visit just now and she thanked me for letting her look at the files. She's just a liiiittle crazy and full of revenge, but I think we might get along just fine if she hates Cerberus that much. And she even told me why she does. She was raised in a Cerberus research facility and was able to escape when she was still a kid. I can imagine what kind of research they did. Some sick experiments for sure... not even kids are safe from them. Fucking bastards. -Dee" One death in the section shortly before reaching Kuril. It was a dumb death too, because I was down to the last guy, and in cover where he didn't even get me the whole time, but once I turned the camera in an angle to look at him and target him, he shoots me. This game sometimes reaaaally makes me rage. Had to re-do the whole section Did some stuff for Firewalker too, but mostly to collect EXP if I missed some for another level and to advance squadmate talk

Poor bugger Miriam Shepard mostly stayed off the sauce; Melody, however, came back from a few missions in need of a freaking drink. As a strict teetotaller in real life, it's weird playing a character who isn't one

I've let him do what I won't. Thanks for the Kaidan pics. I do appreciate them!

You pick up one color and pour it into a glass. Then pick up the other color and pour it into that same glass. There you have that purple drink. And, yes, you can have a hell of an experience at Dark Star. I think the bartender says something about only krogan can handle one of the drinks you have and that the drink after that will make you set off radiation sensors.

As a strict teetotaller in real life, it's weird playing a character who isn't one I do enjoy the occasional drink, but I'm nowhere that level. Maybe a beer twice a year Then again that's the fun in roleplaying, even if it's weird as hell sometimes. And I know I haven't been too kind to Devlon, so he is a "Drowning My Sorrows" kind of guy Yes, you have a nice bar on the SR2. TIM was good for something. Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: fraggle inspired me to play some Armax Arena matches with the Widow. Here are a couple of videos: Versus Geth Elites; watch as my wave 3 killstreak is ruined by a Huntroll, leaving the squad to finish the match for me.
Aside from the aforesaid derpery, this match was ludicrously fun, demonstrating why sniping geth is the best thing in all of Mass Effect. This is essentially the same way that I would play the quarian female infiltrator with Widow in multiplayer:
Versus Collector Elites. Not too many missed shots, and a fair few delicious headshots. Shame about the squad, though!
Last kill in wave 1: Harbinger: "ASSUMING CONTR-" Shepard: "Nope."
Notwithstanding the revolting mess that is the end of wave 3 in the first match, that's some of my better play. I even managed to reload-cancel the Widow a few times

"Alec... I did something terrible today. Twice. Fucking Zaeed. Fucking Vido. Fucking mercs, all of them. I told you how Zaeed abandoned his mission to join us? So I wanted to help him liberate this refinery on Zorya. It was a surprise though, because Zaeed actually knew the Blue Suns leader there. The founder of the Blue Suns, Vido Santiago. And Zaeed was the founder too. Crazy shit, right? Vido betrayed him at some point, 20 years ago, and Zaeed wanted to get him ever since. We met Vido and some of his men, and Zaeed recklessly shot at a gas pipe next to Vido, setting it on fire and slightly burning him in the process. Then he broke a valve to set off a chain reaction to try and burn the remaining Blue Suns. What he bloody did was setting the refinery on fire. Idiot. We needed to act fast, but Zaeed gave me an ultimatum. I don't go after Vido with him, and he would leave. I didn't want to do this. I wanted to help the workers inside, who were trapped. The smoke, those screams, Alec. Just like on Mindoir. Fuck. Alec, I gave in. We need everyone for this mission, and the one other thing that shot through my mind was this batarian fuck Balak. Him I let go. I know the Alliance didn't catch him. And I couldn't catch him because I was frigging dead. He's still doing God knows what to people, because I just had to save the day for a handful of people instead of putting a bullet in his damn head. I decided to stop Vido. So he couldn't do any harm to others anymore. And we actually did catch the bastard, Zaeed burning him alive. I just stood there and watched. How did it get this far? How could I let this happen? I don't do this to innocent people, and yet... I had drinks. Too many of 'em. I even lost count. But it felt so good. I didn't think about the workers or Vido anymore. Bloody asshole. I went to see Jack. You know? Just to chat. I talked quite a bit with her lately and she told me about all the fucked up things she's done. Also, she's really pretty. Shit, I had sex with her. I didn't mean for it to happen, but we somehow ended up talking about why I always came to chat with her. She wanted to know. And she's the one who asked me if this is just about sex. I should've said no, because it's true. I'm not interested in her like that. But of course I'm a weak, pathetic twat. I wanted it. I barely made it back to my cabin in time. Had to throw up. Think I ruined the floor. I'm hammered. Fuck man, look at me. What a loser. I should be glad you're dead so you won't fucking ever see me like that. I feel so ashamed. You know what's funny? Ironic, even? I got a sweet e-mail from Kate Bowman just today. They're all alive and well and celebrating the anniversary of Terra Nova being saved. Shepard, the bloody saviour. I'm happy for them, but what about the others that aren't so lucky? Alec... tell me, what's the best solution, hm? The end always justifies the means? Save the few and don't think of the rest who might get hurt? God, man. I need sleep. I'm fucking done for today. I'm so sorry." Pics here: No deaths this time, wee. And I maxed the passive to Agent It was tough for me to go through with this whole "stop Vido" thing, because it was hard on Devlon, who is generally a Paragon-y character. I love this Shep and I hate to see him like that, but it needed to happen I haven't ever done Renegade sex with Jack seriously, only to check the scene in my first run, then I reloaded. But now - the drama! I'm lovehating it, hahaha. Short bonus video because it was way too funny and I adore Kasumi

Funny how fictional characters can make you feel so bad (or happy other times ). I got EDI's message after the 3rd drink, and it seems to repeat after 3 more times again.

Ahmed: 1. Jacob's loyalty mission: a. Went to the location of the Hugo Gernsback. Found the beacon and learned that Jacob's dad, Ronald Taylor had been promoted to the rank of Captain after the previous captain was killed in the crash. The beacon VI also mentioned that the local plant life caused neural decay.
b. Ahmed soon ran into a female survivor, who seemed thankful for the help but appeared quite affected by the neural decay. Then male survivors showed up looking for a fight. Ahmed pushed the female to safety and kill the attackers.
c. Ahmed made it to an encampent, but only females were present. One of them recognized the Taylor resemblance with Jacob and became angry. The state of the camp gave a very bad sign of what may have been happening. Ahmed destroyed some attacking mechs, then met another female survivor who gave them a data pad.
d. Reading the data pad, it became clear that Ronald Taylor did some very bad things. While he had and the other officers had to make some really difficult choices while they repaired the beacon, Ronald became an authoritarian leader, killing or exiling the males, and keeping the females around as a harem. He activated the beacon when the males came back looking for revenge. The only thing keeping him alive appeared to be his mech army.
e. Ahmed punched through the mechs (including an YMIR mech) and some final resistance from male survivors before confronting Ronald Taylor. Ronald tried to lie about what had happened, but no one bought his explanation. He did not recognize Jacob at first, but when he did he was sorry that his son had seen what he had done. In the end, Ahmed and Jacob left Ronald Taylor in the hands of some surviving males that were out for some payback.
(Leaving Ronald Taylor in the hell that he created is still one of my favorite things to do in the trilogy.)
2. Jack's loyalty mission: a. Ahmed took Jack to Pragia to destroy the facility where Cerberus had raised and tortured her. It became apparent that the facility was not as bad as she remembered it. It was worse.
They learned that the Cerberus personnel had gone behind the Illusive Man's back while conducting the experiments (although Ahmed was not quite sure he would disapprove of the methods even if he had known, given Cerberus's past experiments). The Cerberus personnel had tortured and killed other kids in hopes of improving biotic potential in Jack who was already a powerful biotic.
b. Some Blood Pack mercenaries were also at the facility: lots of Vorcha and some Krogan. It could also explain the Varren. After killing all the Blood Pack mercs, they found a human named Aresh had hired the mercs. Aresh explained that he was once one of the kids at the facility and that he wanted to start the facility again to unlock true human biotic potential.
c. Ahmed ordered Jack to kill Aresh, but she spared him instead. Jack looked around at her old room, then planted the bomb. She blew up the facility while on the ride back to the Normandy.
d. Jack and Miranda got into an argument. Ahmed sided with Jack, which angered Miranda even more. Miranda refused to talk to Ahmed any more after that. (I could have resolved the initial conflict with Intimdate, but chose not to for reasons you already expect. I had no chance of persuading Miranda with charm or intimdate when speaking to her the second time, even if I wanted to).
3. Went to Tuchanka. Learned the new Krogan clan chief was Wrex. Ahmed listened to Wrex explain his plans for the Krogan Wrex told Ahmed to speak to the chief scout if he wanted information about where to find Maelon. Ahmed got a store discount after killing a bunch of pyjaks.
* * *
So I nearly played Mordin's loyalty mission, but I stopped when I could not figure out if I wanted to keep or destroy Maelon's data. Ahmed is a Paragade/Renegon. In ME1 he was ever so slightly more Paragon than Renegade. In ME2 right now he is more Renegade. I will probably need to keep the data to get more paragon points, but I wonder if that is what I want. It may boil down to: do I want Wrex to be mad at Ahmed at the start of Tuchanka arc in ME3?
Also: real life is likely going to prevent me from playing any video games for about the next two weeks. So there will likely be nothing from me in this thread during that time but I sure will be reading what everyone else has to write.

Jeph Shepard: - My journal was clear, except for one thing. Hackett's mission. I was on my own with this one. Not sure why since I'd parted ways with TIM but there it was. He'd been good to me over the years and he certainly hadn't treated me as anything less than an elite Alliance marine even while working with Cerberus. So, fine, I'd infiltrate a batarian base to find his friend. She seemed to believe she'd found something out about the Reapers so it made it worth my while to go. If I survived it, I was taking this ship to Earth and facing whatever consequences there were to be had for my recent association. - Let me just say that humans stand out on the Batarian Hegemony. If we're there, we're slaves. If we're not slaves, they'll kill us. Infiltration is a hell of a thing. I did overhear that there were humans in the system and that an artifact had been found. Might have been linked with Dr. Kenson and why she was taken prisoner. Batarian logs said Kenson was caught smuggling engine parts and guidance systems in, which is very peculiar. Then I listened in on her interrogation. She said the Reapers were coming to this system's relay and that destroying it was the only way to stop them. Could it be? Did they have an alternate relay to use in the event that they lost access to the Citadel? Even if they did, how could Kenson possibly know? - Only way to find out was the bust her out of there. That's exactly what I did. She was able to hack the security system to allow us to get to a shuttle and make our way out. She did say she had proof that the relay in this system, which she called the Alpha Relay, would allow the Reapers access to every relay in the galaxy. Not sure why this one was different and that no one had noticed, unless it worked somewhat like the Omega 4 relay and required a special code. Her plan was to rig an engine to an asteroid and hurl it into the relay, destroying it. The problem was that the resulting explosion would likely wipe out the entire system. Kenson had told the batarians it needed to be done but I can understand why they wouldn't agree with her, especially since knowledge of the Reapers was limited at best. - She said the evidence came from a Reaper artifact called Object Rho which was at her project's base. A red flag immediately went up. Could this artifact be affecting the minds of those around it? No one was entirely sure how indoctrination came about. Reapers themselves did it, even ones that were dead like the derelict, but could other technology do the same? She did mention it gave her a vision and that really had me concerned. She claimed to have taken precautions against indoctrination, but was that even possible? She said she'd show me and I'd understand. I had no love for batarians. They were slavers and that didn't sit right with me. Still, killing the 300,000 in residence in this system didn't appeal to me. - When we got to the base, there was a countdown to Reaper arrival, which was 51 hours away. When she brought me to the room with Object Rho I saw an enormous object that was just sitting out in the open, exuding dark energy. I knew then that she was indoctrinated, as were the others in this base. It sent me a vision of their coming that hit me almost as hard as the Prothean beacon on Eden Prime, sending me to my knees. She pulled a gun on me. She didn't want this project to go forward anymore. She wanted the Reapers to come, deluded into believing that we just didn't understand them. While I was fighting off Kenson's forces, a voice that definitely belonged to Harbinger spoke to me. Eventually, I was overwhelmed. Last thing I heard Kenson say was that I should be patched up because they wanted me alive. The Collectors had been after me, too, but I had no idea why. What could the Reapers want with me? - I escaped captivity and heard a log saying I'd been sedated for two days. Shit, that gave me almost no time. Log also said the sedatives had stopped working on me. Very strange. With less than two hours to spare, I fought my way to the engine control. It told me it would result in 304,942 deaths if I continued, but I had no choice. Tried to send out a warning to the batarians for all the good it might do but Kenson blocked me. She also planned to destroy the asteroid by blowing its eezo core so that it couldn't destroy the relay. In the end, I had to shoot Kenson to stop her. A detonator she'd set off knocked me out for a bit. When I woke I had to move my ass. If I were going to survive I had to reach a comm tower outside to get the Normandy here. - Made it but Harbinger made an appearance. We had a chat. I told him we'd find a way to kill him. - Then Harbinger went away and the Normandy showed up. I ran on board and we hightailed it out of there and through the relay just moments before the asteroid hit it. - I was in the med bay when I saw Hackett on board having a chat with Dr. Chakwas. I wondered if her ending up with Cerberus was an accident. Could she - or even Joker - have been here on an undercover mission? Had word gotten out that Cerberus was reviving me and the Alliance, or at least Hackett, decided to have someone both keep an eye on my and have my back? In any case, Hackett wanted to know what was going on. Why I'd destroyed the system. I told him and he believed me, not even questioning Kenson's death. He also told me I'd need to return to Earth eventually to deal with my actions but that he was going to make the Alliance Council fight hard if they wanted to railroad me. I said I'd turn myself in and that's exactly what I intended to do. - At this point, I told my crew what I was doing. No one present was Cerberus anymore but there would be consequences for having willingly joined them. I offered to drop them off wherever they wanted. In the end, the ship was damn empty when we hit Earth, with only Joker, Chakwas, Donnelly, Daniels and myself on board. EDI could run the entire ship without a crew so their lack didn't affect us. We all turned ourselves in, knowing we'd done what was necessary and willing to defend our actions.

ME3 Import: Jeph Shepard, Spacer/Sentinel/Butcher of Torfan: - Six months later I was still locked up. Well, I had a soft bed, was well fed and only ever had one person guarding me at a time. I would occasionally have to answer questions in front of some committee or other but the real reason I was locked up was because the batarians would want my head if they didn't at least keep the pretense of being being punished. As I watched some kid play with a model ship out my window, Lt. James Vega showed up and said the defense committee wanted to see me. Outside, everyone was moving fast. Ran into Anderson and he said Hackett had mobilized the fleets because "something big" was coming. Had to be the Reapers. No one even doubted me anymore. What rubbed me the wrong way was running into Kaidan. Hadn't known he was on Earth, much less in Vancouver, or that he'd been promoted to major. He now outranked me - though technically I'd been stripped of my rank. - In the minutes I stood before the committee, the Reapers blew past Luna Base and hit London. We got a visual confirming their presence. Then they showed up in Vancouver, firing at random, including into the room where I stood. Only Anderson and I reacted fast enough to survive. The defense committee was dead. Anderson was in communication with Kaidan and said we needed to make our way to the Normandy. As we ran in that direction, I saw some things I'd never wanted to see. Reapers in the sky, husks on the ground. - Along the way, saw some kid in a duct. Tried to get him to come with me. I turned my head away for a second when Anderson called to me and the kid was gone. No way to save him now, if it were even possible. Anderson said we needed to go to the Citadel and ask the Council for help since the Reapers were going to overrun the entire galaxy before long. He thought my Spectre status should count for something, though it never had in the past. - Watched a Reaper take out a dreadnought. Even knowing the power these things had, it was hard to watch happen. This was no space battle like with Sovereign. This was a massacre. Saw flying creatures in the sky that reminded me of the flying klixen, the things that dropped the bugs down on us. These were dropping husks, the ones I knew and some brand knew versions that seemed to have been made out of other races. Found a radio and contacted the Normandy, also setting a locator beacon. The radio was a bust but hopefully the beacon would work. Meantime, we had to fight husks until it they arrived. [Had a crash of sorts. Will resume another time.]

Well, here is what Eurydice Shepard did and will do. Completed Overlord and saved David Archer. Wish I had the chance to shoot his brother for doing that with him, but there will always be Gelix, right? Did the personal mission with that litte cutie pie japanese with kleptomania Kasumi and let her keep the greybox. It seems she have a obsession with the thing. Recruited a baby Krogan supersoldier with the mentality of a 15 year old kid and a convict that also have huge grudges about... well, life in general. What am I, a ex-dead spectre turned into a psychologist and babysitter? Meet my mirror in the form of a mercenary called Zaeed Massani. According to Joker the only difference between us is he accept money to do jobs, while I work for free. Must be in the wrong profession I guess, usually I have to rob, steal and shake people for money. I think I'm listening Kasumi too much, even ships overrun by geth or researchers turned into husks don't scape my not so-legal activities. If I see a safe or wallet, I HAVE TO HAVE IT. And also I have the need to possess every single Fornax edition, even the special editions with krogans and vorcha. You know, the ones with huge warning lables with the possibility of causing blindness. Fineshed Miranda personal quest about the safety of her sister, only to discover that the problem was daddy issues. Good lord, I'm really a psychologist, hun? Heck, everyone curses Jacob, but at least the guy solved this a long time ago. I'm planing not to recruit Thane, Samara and Tali, will go to the Omega-4 relay with the original 8 plus Legion. Never did a run like this before, do you belive that? It pains me because I like Samara arc A LOT (I always had a fall for greek and Shakespeare tragedies). I romanced Liara in the first ME1, still thinking if I should talk to her or not on Illium. If Ashley is upset by Shepard not contacting her, it's also fair I'm too with Liara for not talking to me after I regained conscience or not? Hey, she is the most famous broker in the galaxy, don't think for a second she doesn't know what is happening to me. And the bitch don't even sent me at least a hello card. Also, since things are strange around here I think I would spend some time with Jacob "delicacies", if you know what I mean. Since he will not be upset with me if I find someone else in the future, what's better than that? Now I know I'm definitely spending too much time with Kasumi.

Jeph Shepard: (Had a problem in the opening sequence. Everything went along fine on Earth until I reached the radio to call the Normandy. At that point, I somehow had infinite ammo - didn't earlier because I'd run out - and so could not trigger the Normandy arriving just in time. Had to do a repair to fix it.) - Fought off those horror show husks that came in endless droves until Anderson and I both ran out of ammo. Then the Normandy showed up. We ran for it and I jumped up into the cargo bay. Kaidan was there and welcomed me. Anderson wouldn't budge, said he had to stay behind because a leader was needed there, and that I needed to talk to the Council on my own. Tried to talk him out of it. He ordered me to them Citadel and I reminded him he had no authority to do so. That's when he pulled out my dog tags and reinstated me as CO of the Normandy. A little strange considering Kaidan outranked me but I accepted it. Suppose there was no time to promote me to Captain. As we were taking off, I saw the kid from the ducts near a shuttle. I was relieved to see him board it. - Then I watched in disgust as a Reaper blew that shuttle out of the sky. That left a bitter taste in my mouth. - Hackett contacted me and send I needed to go to the Mars Archives, that there was something there that would help us fight the Reapers. He said Liara was there as a favor to him. Wanted us to get what we needed before we lost the system completely. - Kaidan, James and myself touched down on Mars. There was a huge sandstorm coming our way so we'd need to be indoors. But then we found a dead Alliance marine who appeared not to have struggled. Further investigation showed Cerberus troopers shooting a marine who was simply on his knees with his hands behind his hand. No struggle at all. Didn't get that but those fuckers were going to die for it. Kaidan was borderline accusing me of being a Cerberus agent, which pissed me off. As if I hadn't put my like and reputation on the line to push back the Collectors, or even when it came to stealing the Normandy to go to Ilos. - When we got inside, we saw Liara jump out of a duct, followed by Cerberus troopers. She dispatched them pretty easily. She told us about plans for a Prothean device that could wipe out the Reapers. Sounded a little far fetched but we didn't have much else. We needed to get these plans to the Council so they could help build it. Turned out Cerberus was after the same thing and I wasn't entirely sure why we were at odds here. With Liara back, I sent James to the shuttle so we could be prepared if we had to make a fast exit. - As we traveled to the Mars Archives themselves, we saw an open airlock. It wasn't forced open so that means it was done from the inside. What we saw were a lot of people who suffocated to death. No reason for that. These weren't marines, just scientists trying to find answers. I mean, shit, this was the fucking cafeteria! Turned the environmental controls back on, not that it would help the dead. A video recording showed who Liara said was a fairly new recruit - Dr. Eva Core - gunning down some Alliance marines. She'd been responsible for the deaths here. We later found a Cerberus trooper whose radio we wanted to use. Kaidan removed the helmet and it looked sort of like a husk. Not exactly, but also no longer human. Kaidan actually asked if that's what had been done to me. I can almost understand. Suffocated in the vacuum of space and then falling through Alchera's atmosphere and plummeting to the ground - it was had to credit that it was really me standing here. - At the Archives, encountered TIM. He wanted to use the device to control the Reapers. That was madness considering Reapers indoctrinated people. Nothing suggested that would change just because their movements could be controlled. No, it wasn't an option to go that route. However, Dr. Core was copying and deleting the information at the same time. Kaidan tried to stop her but she gave him a kick that knocked him down through his armor. When I pursued her, she did things that no human could do. Worse, she made it to a shuttle and was escaping. Fortunately, James had the shuttle in the air and rammed it, knocking the Cerberus shuttle down into a fiery explosion. When Core emerged her true nature became apparent. She was a mech. She grabbed Kaidan by the throat and rammed him against the shuttle very hard. He was out. I was able to take her down. I grabbed Kaidan while James got the mech. Reapers were inbound and we had to move. - Had a hard time seeing Kaidan so damaged. Liara had to snap me out of it. When Hackett contacted me, he told me to go to the Citadel with those plans and MAKE the Council listen to me. When we got to the Citadel, Captain - now Commander - Bailey greeted us and told us Kaidan was at Huerta Memorial and that I had time to stop in before meeting with the Council. Before I did that, I saw a reporter asking one of my crew about me. Not one of the ones I knew. This was Diana Allers and she believed she could help get us support for the war by being installed on the Normandy. I figured it was worth a shot, that we could use any advantage possible. - Headed up to Huerta and right in to see Kaidan. He was unconscious but stable. I talked to him for a while before the doctors came in to check up on him. All I could do was hope he recovered and that we'd get a chance to set things right between us. - Afterward, I saw Dr. Michel and Dr. Chakwas in the lounge area. Michel was the doctor in charge of Kaidan but Chakwas had arrived when she heard a Normandy crew member had been injured. I immediately recruited Chakwas back to the Normandy. At this point, I don't know if I'd trust another doctor like I did her. Dr. Michel said that she was optimistic about Kaidan's chances of recovery which set my mind a little at ease.

Jeph Shepard, still CO of the Normandy despite a higher ranking officer being on board (well, until Dr. Core took him out), Spacer/Sentinel/Butcher:
- In the Embassy Ward, I saw my least favorite reporter. Bitching, as usual, rather than doing something like Emily Wong. When Emily showed up, she wanted to uncover some dirt to make things better. Al-Jilani? "Blah blah, not getting my way and I'm telling!" Useless. Even this Allers person wants to drum up support for the war. - Went to the Council meeting. After years of ignoring me, they can no longer pretend the Reapers aren't real. But they still remain unhelpful, refusing to unite our forces to stop the threat, not even willing to look at the blueprints Liara and I brought to them. In Udina's officer (damn that backstabber for getting the position he wanted), the turian councilor showed up. He said that if I rescued the turian primarch off of Menae, it would almost certainly give me the support of the Turian Hierarchy. I had little choice in the matter. In any case, those chose to uphold my Spectre status and said resources would me made available to me - like a Black Widow for 250,000 credits rather than on the house? - On the way out, I talked to that damn reporter. I could see the primary issue here was that she was scared. If the best humanity had to offer - myself - fled Earth, what hope was there? I realized I could use this fear to my advantage and get her to keep harassing the Council and making sure they didn't forget Earth. Again, this wasn't about what I wanted but about what was necessary. I guess six months locked up taught me some patience.

Jeph Shepard, Spacer/Sentinel/Butcher of Torfan: - As soon as I returned to the Normandy I took a nap. Had almost no sleep since leaving Earth and I was exhausted. Had a dream about the kid. He kept running away before dying at the hands of the Reapers. - Liara tried to tell me my nightmares were natural and that Kaidan knew the risks as a marine. Would she be saying that if someone she loved almost died? I seem to recall that she was even willing to turn my corpse over to Cerberus on the chance that they could restore me to life. Still don't know how that worked. Can't help thinking I might be a clone, though the scars I had when I woke up suggest otherwise. Still, if tech like that existed, wouldn't it be used? - Liara and I were interrupted by Communications Specialist Samantha Traynor coming to introduce herself to me. She showed me the updates to the ship since it came under Alliance control. Have to admit that I liked the updates. My cabin was the same, so no loss of comfort, and I think Joker kept his leather seat, but the colors were better and the armory was now in its rightful place in the shuttle bay so we didn't have to lug it up and down the elevator to go on missions. EDI indicated she wanted her on board and if anyone knew what this ship needed it was her. Though it was a bit odd when she talked about being attracted to EDI's voice in front of me. - Hackett contacted me. He'd already heard from Udina so knew the situation. I told him I was done with the Council and going directly to the leaders of each species. I was given broad power to build alliances. If you know the chain of command, you'd realize that's far beyond what a Lieutenant Commander is allowed. There damn well better be some serious promotions in my future. Anyway, it was about time someone understood my capabilities. I suspect that had Hackett had his way I would have been been back in the Alliance when we were fighting the Collectors. He sure treated me like I still worked for him. - Had a bunch of emails waiting for me: a Prothean artifact on Eden Prime needed to be investigated, gifts from EDI and Joker, a KEI-9 on board as a pet (I preferred my fish and space hamster; too bad they were lost), acknowledgement of my reinstatement and great diplomatic powers, and an immediate need to head to Sanctum. En route, I made the rounds to check in on my crew. I found some of my old model ships lying around, which was very peculiar. Joker and EDI had to be behind it. Met my shuttle pilot/procurement specialist, Steve Cortez. He also maintained the armory with James. Also, lurking under Engineering, was my space hamster! I can't believe he's been hiding out here for the last six months. He didn't look gaunt so he must have been eating something. Chatted with Engineer Adams. He looked mighty lonely in there. I wondered what happened to Daniels and Donnelly. He would need some help. Chakwas put the whole Cerberus in perspective: we took their money and resources and were now using said resources against them. It was a win-win. Liara had definitely turned the XO Office into her Shadow Broker HQ. Lots of monitors and her information drone, which she was now calling Glyph. The only thing really missing was a chef. Have no idea what happened to Gardiner. He was never Alliance so getting him here probably wouldn't be an option. - Headed out to Sanctum. Felt very strange only having a squad of two to choose from. I had no objections to Liara or James but Liara in particular had things she needed to be doing on the ship and I didn't want to take her away from that too often. We had to recover some really creepy looking Reaper tech from Cerberus forces. I already had suspicions of indoctrination where Cerberus was concerned: TIM wanting them alive, the husk-like Cerberus trooper and now this. There's just no way to remain around this kind of stuff without being affected. - Finally on to Menae to rescue the turian primarch. Wouldn't it be amazing if I picked up Garrus along to way? But what are the odds of that? Somewhere in my head I thought this would be an easy mission. Then we saw Palaven being decimated by the Reapers. And they had the strongest fleet in galaxy. Menae wasn't faring much better. The LZ was swarmed by husks but there were all kinds of new Reaper creations on this moon. First thing I discovered was that the primarch was dead. They had very clear lines of succession but that didn't mean much when you had no idea who was alive or dead. The comm towers being down made it worse so fixing that was our first priority. After the repairs were done, we learned the new primarch was someone named Adrien Victus. Only, they weren't quite sure where he was. At least until one Garrus Vakarian walked up, a Garrus was received a salute from a general. Damn. He'd fought alongside Victus earlier so had an idea of where to look. Liara had to check on some weirdness with the ship so Garrus joined up with me. We were about to head out when a Harvester dropped off some nasties that we had to deal with first. Definitely saw some that looked like turians.

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: My original plan was to play some more Leviathan, but I ended up pratting around in the Armax Arena with the Javelin. This playthrough would be going a lot more quickly if I just stuck to the story; on the other hand, games are for fun, and the Arena is fun for me, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ One GIF, three videos: Versus Cerberus Elites. This is a Javelin V with a level V extended barrel mod. Shepard's cloak is built for damage at rank 4 and sniper damage at rank 6; but even without the cloak, this gun oneshots even shielded mooks: Versus Reaper Super Elites. Squad assistance providing Warp as a debuff and warp ammo helps to make this pretty easy. I wonder whether it's possible to stack enough bonuses to one-shot a Banshee with this gun? Verus Collector Super Elites. Along with the warp ammo provided by Jack, this enables me to one-shot Scions from cloak as long as I can get a headshot. If only they'd been one-shottable in ME2!

"Hi Alec, we picked up another recruit for the mission, the last on my list. We traveled to the planet Korlus to find a krogan warlord called Dr. Okeer, who supposedly had information about the Collectors. He was in a Blue Suns camp, so naturally we encountered this merc group. Again. We talked to a wounded merc we came across, and he told us that Okeer was hired to create a krogan army for Jedore, the leader for this group on Korlus. But there were problems. Jedore couldn't control the krogan like she wanted, so the Suns fought them. We then actually met one of those krogan. Tank-bred, fully developed and able to speak after a couple days. Fascinating really. But sad as well. Okeer was disappointed with him, considered him a failure. Well, I don't know why, but the tank-bred was friendly with us and even helped clear us a path. Soon I learned what was really going on there. I met Rana Thanoptis again, Saren's assistant back then? Now she worked for Okeer, and told me that he was trying to create the perfect krogan. We found the warlord in the next room, together with a filled tank. Okeer described him as his legacy, a truly perfected krogan. He got the tech to create him from the Collectors, so their paths did cross. His goal was not to cure the genophage, but to ignore it. Interesting concept, but the surroundings told of horrible methods to reach it. All krogan rejects, and there were many of them, went into Jedore's army. But they weren't of use to her anymore since she couldn't control them, so she ordered to get everyone killed. Okeer proposed a deal. I kill Jedore, I'll get information on the Collectors. I agreed. We took care of Jedore, some krogan rejects and a mech, then EDI informed us that Okeers room had been flooded with toxins. His life signs were failing, and by the time we reached him he was already dead. But he managed to save his perfect krogan, so we took the tank aboard the Normandy. Okeer was pretty cold, and a mad scientist, but it's still a shame he died. He lived through the krogan rebellions. Imagine what he could've told me about it. But anyway. I decided to open the tank. I didn't know how the krogan would react, but I did it regardless. He was quite hostile at first and pinned me against the wall. Didn't hurt me though. He wanted to know his name, and ended up picking one for himself. Something he remembered from his time in the tank. Grunt. I convinced him to join my team and he let me go. He's a bit impetious, but I hope he'll be fine in time. I also tried talking to Jack again, wanted to apologise, but she shut down and wanted nothing to do with me. Now I feel even more like an asshole. The only positive thing that came out of it - I didn't touch one drink since this happened. It can't go on like this, and I try my best to stay away from drinking too much. I've been there before when you and my family died. I don't want to go through this again. Some days are tough and I'm only human, but I try. I want to try. Now we're heading to Horizon, another colony in the Terminus Systems. The Illusive Man just told me it went silent. The Collectors. I'm worried what we'll find, Alec. He said Kaidan is stationed there. I just hope he's allright. But we are ready. Mordin has the countermeasure for the seeker swarms. I'll do everything I can to protect these people from those bastards. They'll pay for what they've done so far. I hope it isn't too late already when we arrive. I'll keep you posted. -Dee" Pics! I love this option Just hanging around. Thank you, friendly krogan! Remembering Virmire. Devlon is one of my 3 pro-krogan Shepards Buh-bye, Jedore! The baby hatched. Everything went smooth and now it's Horizon time. After that I'm not sure if I don't just want to do 5 side missions to get the Widow asap and do all the remaining recruitment/loyalty missions with that to get the most out of it. But maybe I'll also already play LotSB. Decisions, decisions!
