What did you do today in ME?

Janei Shepard tred to find a Krogan. SHe didn't know, tha the was a mad scientist who wants to build asuper soldier. Now he is dead and she has to decide what to do with his super soldier. But before that, she gets called to Horizon, where she heard, Kaidan Alenko was stationed. The Collectors are attacking that colony. Hopefully this time Janei and her trusted friends Garrus and Mordin are not too late. That chief collector, who is taking over his minions from time to time, is mostly very talkative, but not much else

Janei Shepard managed to defeat the Collectors on Horizin - that big thingy was a pain in the backside. After that, she decided to recruit Tali and came just in tim to rescue her and her general from a geth attack. Janei is trying to get as much Cerberus unloyal people as possible, Garrus and Tali are great, Jack too and somehow, Janei gets teh feeling, that Grunt would not be loyal to Cerberus. Even Jacob has doubts and Mordin doesn't seem to care, as long as he has a lab.

At the moment, Janei, Garrus and Tali are on teh Citadel to talk to the Council )probably liek talking to a piece of rock, there seems to be a lot of false news and propaganda loose)

Commander Shepard checked in with the crew while they waited for EDI and Brooks to try and salvage some useful data from the late Elijah Khan's hard drive. They managed to find some info the PMC calling themselves CAT6, they had purchased “a lot of weapons“. (No kidding).

While reviewing the evidence they got word from Glyph that the Citadel Archives was under attack. This was apparently a giant facility where the Council kept all of their important records, including top secret stuff. Garrus mentioned that he couldn't even get access back when he was a C-Sec officer. It hadn't taken long to figure out why CAT6 needed all those weapons.

Given the size of the Archive and the amount of ground they'd have to cover, Shepard decided there was no point in leaving anyone in reserve for this mission – even Wrex wanted to come along. The crew divided up into Team Mako and Team Hammerhead and set out to stop CAT6. Liara and Tali accompanied Shepard (apparently their team didn't warrant a cool nickname).

After a battle with CAT6 in the lobby of the Archives, they finally discovered who the mysterious identity thief was. None other than...Commander Shepard. More accurately, a clone that Cerberus had created from Shepard during Project Lazarus, as a contingency (“for spare parts”).

The clone claimed to no longer be associated with Cerberus or The Illusive Man. She duped the real Shepard into revealing her Normandy command codes – her plan was to steal the frigate along with the Commander's identity. The clone fled into the Archives, leaving her CAT6 flunkies to execute Shepard and friends. Big mistake of course, the Normandy crew escaped the trap and went after the phony Shepard.

The crew seemed to be enjoying the chase, cracking jokes at CAT6's – and sometimes Shepard's – expense. Even Glyph got in on the act, trolling CAT6 and reducing their morale, although it was hard to disagree with Tali's assertion that Chatika was the more effective combat drone.

Deeper in the archive, they found various interesting recordings, covering significant events in galactic history. Most interesting to Shepard was the entry on the Battle of the Citadel, which reported that Zakera Ward had been “almost completely destroyed.” This didn't seem to match Shepard's experiences – the Ward seemed fine two years later, when she'd returned with Cerberus, and Anderson's report on the cleanup of the Citadel hadn't mentioned anything about it. Strange, but there was no time to dwell on it at the moment.

They continued the chase, eventually losing contact with Team's Hammerhead and Mako when their communications were jammed. The commander, Liara and Tali were trying to find Brooks when they found themselves trapped in a forcefield and confronted by the Shepard clone.

Fake Shepard wasn't alone, though. Brooks had been working with her all along, and had helped lure them into the trap. The clone updated Shepard's biometric data to include her handprint instead of the real Shepard's – that was the reason she'd attacked the Archives. She now had everything she needed to take over the commander's identity.

Brooks revealed that she was also a former Cerberus operative, and had been the one who'd compiled the dossiers on the team that Shepard recruited to take out the Collectors. She'd become disillusioned with Cerberus because the recruitment of non-humans had made them too alien friendly in Brooks' opinion, which had to be one of the dumbest things Shepard had ever heard. She was embarrassed to have been fooled by this person.

Brooks and the Shepard clone locked the Normandy crew in some Archive vaults, but Glyph was still free and was able to release them. They headed directly for the Alliance docks, hoping they weren't too late to prevent the theft of the Normandy.

No you had it the first time. It's not brave. But I'm not going to stop until I'm finally standing atop a pile of dead Shepards. 

When done with that, would you be interested in trying another challenge? 

Start an ME3 playthrough, it can be a new playthrough or new game plus. Play on insanity. Use only a level one pistol, use no powers. Give your squadmates level one weapons and they also can't use powers. You can put all your points in health if you like, but no points in any power. That's what I did. To this day, its the hardest playthrough I've completed for ME3

Same, all my ME3 Insanity runs so far have relied on overpowered DLC weapons (Adas, Indra) or powers (Flare).

I created Faith and Owen Shepard, twins, colonists/Vanguards. She's more Renegade and he's more Paragon. I'm going to attempt to RP them both doing ME1 missions. She's the primary candidate for Spectre and will be doing all the main missions. He'll be doing a number of the side missions. Faith will have Liara (probably her LI), Ash and Kaidan. Owen will have Tali, Wrex and Garrus (since the last two can be not recruited, I'll RP that she didn't do so but Owen found them and worked with them - Tali's just what I want to do). Since I play on PC, I think I'm going to use gender swap when I switch between characters, though it's obviously not really necessary. Only one of them is going to survive into ME2.

Today, Faith went to Eden Prime, watched as Jenkins died, recruited Ash, fought a lot of geth and husks, did NOT punch that loony scientist but did get extra mods out of the farmer. Got as far as finding the Prothean beacon. Had a crash, but reasonably sure I know how to fix it.

Completed a bunch of side missions. Quorra Shepard has reached Level 60. When it comes to ME1, this is a first for me. I'm glad it was her. Didn't even bother with Pinnacle Station. That place is 100% inconsequential to the game and how it transfers to ME2 & ME3, Besides, I got the achievements a long time ago. Quorra was already imported with her completing it once, so there's no need to do it again. It's the most optional of content in the Trilogy. I can see completing it for a boost in leveling up, but for my Shepard, she's was one level away from 60 already (not to mention it's NEW GAME PLUS). As far as I can tell, you only need to do it once. Other than that, you can move. I even heard that the DLC wasn't very well received, at least as much as Bring Down The Sky.
