Next Time On Mass Effect: "Sacrifice on Virmire, the lost World of Ilos, and the Battle of the Citadel!"

Continuing my ME2 Vanguard insanity run with Mass Effect bae Kasumi. She still continues to save my ass with her powers. I've made a few bad charges and her flashbang stuns everyone in the vicinity. Allowing me to either kill them or get out of there. Thane/Kasumi/Obbie is actually as effective and fun as imagined it would be. Zaeed also works really well here also, but this run is all about Kasumi. I also like that in several missions she is backing Obbie like when you go to pick up Jack or when that mechanic is whining at you on Horizon. It fits well with my head canon that I get with Kasumi after ME3.

I saved the Zhu's Hope colony on Feros, destroyed the Thorian, and spared Shiala so she could do her part to help rebuild the colony.

Then I spent some time talking to Ashley, Wrex, and Garrus about their respective families. It's interesting that while they're all so different, family is always important, and how we react to our upbringing is a big part of what defines us.

returned to my ME2 play through with my engineer after a few months away from it. playing it concurrently with MEA. Reminds me how much I miss the trilogy days.

That's not really headcanon, based on the email and news blip you get in ME3 regarding the colonists. The thorian experience definitely changed those people.

Barbie: ... but then Nick said no and broke up with Janice and that made Janice very sad. But then Paul said yes and Janice felt much better until she ran into Laura who is always bad to talk to, but Laura was actually nice this time and told her she should also say yes. And that's how Paul and Janice met, but then Nick went to Laura--

Nihlus: Yeah, I'm out of here. I think I'm better off on my own for this mission. (Nihlus jumps off the Normandy)

Barbie: But I wasn't finished my story!

Jenkins: My ears are bleeding.

Anderson: Joker, set as down at the landing zone.


Later, on Eden Prime...

Barbie: One of us should scout ahead!

Jenkins: I'll do it! (Jenkins runs ahead.)

Kaiden: Jenkins, no! Please don't leave me with her!

(Barbara runs ahead, then sees Ashley fighting Geth)

Barbie: Robots! I'll save you Lady Soldier! Pew pew pew pew pew pew!

Ashley: Thanks for the help.

Barbie: I already like you Lady Soldier! Come with us!

Ashley: Okay, sure. Why not?

Kaiden: In ten minutes you'll find out why not.

Ashley: What do you mean?

Barbie: Oh no, dead Nihlus. BAD ROBOTS!

Powell from behind the crates: Actually it was another Turian named Saren that killed him. I'm going to go back to sleep now.

Barbie: Onward to the beacon!

Kaiden: Wait, did we talk about a beacon before? (checks script) No, this is the first mention of a beacon. Who's the idiot writing this script?

Ashley: The Geth planted bombs!

Kaiden: Wait, the robots are actually called Geth? Again I have to ask who is the idiot writing this script? It sucks!

Barbie: Okay I disabled the bombs and killed the bad robots and OHMYGOD I CHIPPED A NAIL!

Kaiden: Well that was quick.

Ashley: Hey, there's the beacon!

Barbie: It looks so pretty!

Ashley: Mind if I take a look at it?

Barbie: NO! (throws Ashley out of the way) ME TOUCHY!!! (beacon explodes) OW!

Kaiden: Please tell me she's dead.

Ashely: She's alive.

Kaiden: God dammit.

Janei is a bit stressed out. Now, every crew member wants something investigated (everyone but Garrus - do someone know, when Garrus loyality mission triggers?). She just finished helpinh Jack destroying the facility, she was held in. Janei and Garrus were both apalled at the casual way, the scientists in the logs they found speak about torturing and killing children. When they found a survivor, Janei persuaded Jack to let him go. He seemed even more disturbed than Jack.
Now she has the following crew missions on her plate:
- Miranda wants to help her sister (Janei is still not sure, this isn't a Cerberus trick)
- Mordin wants a colleague saved from Krogans (deep down, Janei thinks, it's kind of poetic justice that the Krogans captured one of the scientists, that made the genophage even worse, but she likes Mordin despite of what he did, so she will help him of course)
- Jacob has information about the crashed ship of his father and wants to seek it out.

Janei decided to go after Jacobs father first, simply because they were in that corner of space. WHen they arrived, they found an AI sending out messages and some really disturbing lof entries, about crew members going mad and one guy, taking advantage of a girl, that had formerly declined his attentions. Janei has sworn to herself that should she met this guy, he will not live.
Now they are running through the jungle trying to find survivore. They already met one really confused girl (don't know, if that was the unlucky girl, the unknown crewmember took advantage of) and some 'rebels' who seem to think they have to kill everyone in sight for whatever reason. It seems, something in the vegetation makes humas go cuckoo, when they eat it.

Well, in ME2, I decided to make her wear all white. In ME3, she has shorter hair. She wears the same visor, but her armor is all black. War time.

Played ME2 for the first time in ages yesterday. Level 18 Barrier Sentinel: Finished off the Collector ship mission where I left it about 8 months ago. The fun bit was spamming throw at the husks at the end. Normally this bit takes ages for me, but area throw just instantly killed loads at a time.

Then I did the Morinth mission, accidentally chose some cringey dialogue options in the conversation and literally felt embarrassed for Shepard somehow. But it worked out anyway, and Samara finally ended her daughter's killing spree (after 400 years, which makes her seem really inept).

Then I did some planet scanning.

Next I went straight for the Reaper IFF, and punched some Scions to death for fun, threw some more husks about, blew up Sauron's other eye (which he kept opening and shutting for some reason), and recovered Legion.

Then I did Tali's loyalty mision by rallying the crowd rendering the whole Geth shooting part meaningless. I thought it was funny when Reegar said the admirals were "pissing on everything Tali stood for". I thought this phrase was a bit odd, because surely this would be unthinkable to the Quarians, so the phrase probably wouldn't even enter into their culture. But that's not important and just a random bit of fridge logic I thought about.

Finally, I did half of Legion's loyalty mission. Next time I play (which may be tomorrow, next year, or even never), I will rewrite the heretics because Shepard thinks the end justifies the means, and doesn't care about ethics and all that bollocks.
