I helped Grunt join clan Urdnot and traveled with Legion to Heretic Base. Helped it to rewrite the heretics (I hope they will be useful to me in the future). I realized this was probably the first time I've done Legion's loyalty mission... I always recruited it too late in the game and then did not have time to acquire its mission because I had to save my crew from the collectors. I'm hoping this means it doesn't die this time.
Shepard problems: both Tali and Jack wanted to sleep with him (and he was not interested in either of them). Almost felt guilty turning down Tali because she got so embarrassed, but don't understand why I got renegade points for doing it...

- Finished off the last Geth outpost in the Armstrong Cluster, and gave Tali some Geth data we retrieved to help her with her Pilgrimage; - Listened to Wrex reminisce about his fight with an Asari commando named Aleena (wonder who that could be ); - Wiped out Thorian Creepers that had overrun an Exogeni research outpost in the Maroon Sea cluster, then wiped out the Exogeni scientists for being jerks about it.

I truly had no idea the games could be finished so quickly, since I've never tried. I'm curious to see how this ends.

I just did the Suicide Mission.
Zaeed and Miranda died. Of the captured Normandy crew only Dr Chakwas survived. Shephard did as Illusive Man told him and preserved the Collector Base. He felt he owed Cerberus because they saved his life and this makes it even. He feels guilty for the fate of his crew and especially Miranda, since they did not part in the best of terms. On the other hand it's better this way, because I think it's disappointing that she switches sides in ME3; I would rather have seen her stay loyal to Cerberus since her betraying them makes little sense.

Seeing all of those ME2 screens really makes me want to play it again. I'll definitely have to find the time to do another playthrough of the Trilogy, especially before ME:A.

I helped Wrex locate his missing scouts and Shepard was reunited with the best krogan: Grunt! I saved the Rachni Queen (again). Grunt is alive and well. According to Wrex he'll be back in the fight in no time.

I sabotaged the genophage cure. Shepard was forced to shoot Mordin. He gave him no choice... it had to be done.
After that I went to drive Cerberus away from the Citadel and killed Udina. That bastard had it coming ever since ME1 when he betrayed Shep. And Kaidan finally joined my crew!
ME3's armor variety has been a pleasant surprise (it's been a while since I last played this game)... much more armor options than before and some pretty cool helmets. Mnemonic Visor is my favorite at the moment (I hope they have something like this in MEA)

Last week, for ME, I edited the .ini so that my surround sound worked properly. A bit echo-ee in the council chambers, but otherwise an improvement that is a real positive.
This week, I finally downloaded the upgrade/mod to the graphics, followed the directions carefully and fired up the game to see if I noticed much of a difference.
It's better. Would have been nice to have that look when I originally got the game ... the cheesy graphics on PC were pretty jarring, even back then.
Worth the time and effort? Maybe, if you are just starting out in the trilogy. But I've already done a boatload of play-throughs that I imported into ME2 and then ME3, not sure it's worth another play-through of ME, just for a bump in graphics. On the other hand, kudos to the guy who created the mod, it is well done and (if you follow directions) the game seems stable and uncorrupted by the changes.

How can you guys not like the Omega dlc? Aria running around with a shotgun = + 100 ....and I gave her full use of her own powers....In one playthrough, she lashed a nemesis off the map...I was so proud of her.

I began my second playthrough of the trilogy today.
I started a new ME1 career by re-importing my original Shepard: it would just feel wrong for Shep to have a different face than the one she had in my first playthrough. I plan to make a few different decisions (different Virmire survivor and Council fate) but otherwise play largely as I did before; I can't imagine Shepard as anything other than mostly Paragon, and wouldn't enjoy playing an antihero anyway. After I complete the game and transfer the file to ME2, I'll change Shepard's class (currently Sentinel, considering switching to Vanguard) and pick a different weapon on the Collector ship (chose sniper rifles last time) so my ME2 and ME3 gameplay experiences are different.
So, today I completed Eden Prime (rather easy with L50 characters and level X equipment) and was struck by how similar the bomb-defusing segment is to the devices objective in ME3MP. I continued through to the Citadel, have recruited Garrus and Tali and done a few sidequests.

Jenna Shepard went to Noveria with Garrus and Liara. Did at least two if not three sidequests I've never done before (this is my third playthrough)before my traditional "get floored by Benezia at least once and have to go through the conversation all over again" effort. Resorted to the usual tactics, hide behind Liara. Jenna released the queen.

Been a while since I posted here, but I've made some more progress in general. And today I recruited Tali, Thane and Samara, completed Thane's Loyalty Mission and started Mordin's. Still having a great time with Cryo Ammo and punching enemies. I also enjoy the chats with Legion as I got it early on. Definitely worth it to lose the crew at least once Some screenies I made:

I used to lurk a lot in this thread back on the old site, so I'm delighted to see it here.
I took a little diversion from the ME universe the other day, playing season 2 of The Walking Dead. I won't give away any plot spoilers, but imagine my surprise when a certain Psychotic Biotic made an appearance. It's fair to say my love for all things Jack made me make some truly out-of-character decisions. The only disappointment was the absence of the highly appropriate line, "Hello dead people!"

Replays are supposed to be relatively quick, and yet I am spending an inordinate amount of time in the Citadel shops looking for the perfect outfits for my squad... (Currently: Miriam Shepard is in light Ursa (I settled on an "urban camo" look for her fairly early in my first ME2 playthrough, kept it in ME3, and am now completely wedded to it); Garrus is in medium Silverback; Wrex is in heavy Warlord; still looking for something for Tali; Ashley is fine with her default look; and Kaidan is in light Gladiator).

Did a couple of sidequests, then took Wrex and Tali planetside on Therum to rescue Liara. When I first played the game, I knocked the difficulty down to Casual in a couple of places on Therum: the battle with the Armature just before entering the ruins, and the battle with the krogan at the end. I still found the Armature quite tricky even on a replay 'cos it can OHKO Shepard. After a couple of goes, I tried casting Lift on it. I had been thinking in ME3MP terms, assuming that a big armoured target could not be lifted; how wrong I was Miriam Shepard is now wearing light Titan armour which is a pretty good match for the "urban camo" look that I gave her in my first playthroughs of ME2 and ME3.

Miriam Shepard returned to the Citadel to break the bad news about his team to Admiral Kahoku. On the way, she gave a nice interview to Khalisah Al-Jilani, despite the reporter's provocations; and wished she could have decked Admiral Mikhailovich without being court-martialed. Perhaps the frustration caused by these encounters was the reason she completely lost her rag with Conrad Verner. Departing from the Citadel, Shepard made best speed for Terra Nova and landed on Asteroid X57, where she, Ashley and Tali prevented a batarian terror gang from dropping it on the colony. Charn was persuaded to abandon Balak and leave; Balak had to be allowed to go in order to save the hostages. I took the quarian armour reward at the end of the mission, so Tali is now rocking light Colossus.
