Listened to one of my favorite tracks in the whole trilogy it's a nice OST however, personally, my favourite of the ME trilogy is the noveria theme from ME1

so, kaidan is your white knight (in the ancient definition i mean, not in the negative 21 century definition of it) as for reaper forces, they are mostly zombies yes...exept one! the famous, the glorious, the brave, the one and only....the marauder shield! <snip> *Salutes Marauder Shields*
And yeah, I guess you could say Kaidan is my white knight, he's among the select few game romances I've never switched out for another the others being Cullen, Fenris, Reyes and Chrom (from Fire Emblem Awakening)

So I installed a controller mod for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer (PC) earlier this week, and I finally got around to trying it today. It works great, although it is quite clear that I am just a liiiiiiitle rusty. (Okay, so I am very rusty and was never good at it to begin with, but still...)
I am hoping this gives me the kick in the pants I need to boot up ME2 again and finally get started on some ME2 runs I have been meaning to get to, and have mentioned a few times over the past few months.

okay personally i tend to not romance a lot (partially due to mass effect being one of the only games i play where there are romance) and when i do so, i keep a monogamic relationship. [yes, i m a boring guy ] on my first ME run ,the only romance made was temporary, it was during ME2, and it was with tali. (and then stopped it before the suicide mission if i remember, but i am not sure about this specific point) on my MEA run i only romanced vetra (the female turian with the cool blue glasses ) and on my current ME run, as everyone can see: no romance in ME1, no romance in ME2, and for the ME3, maybe something, but for now it's a secret, and i ll only tell later once i begin upload my ME3 let's play videos (everything is already recorded currently)

So I spend the day going back and forth in the CC for ME1, even attempted a potential appearance for a Male Shep...he, did not turn out alright as for my canon Shep...yeah, as I said, went back and forth...tried some new combinations until I was all "screw it!" and reverted back to the black hair + blue eye combo I also went with some other names, attempting some deities -such as Athena- and other random names and then I went back to Saphira...'cause hell, I love that name for my Shep so yeah, I went back to my girl being as she was, and gonna start her playthrough (again) tomorrow Saphira A. S. Shepard (A standing for Augustine and S for Serenity) Colonist War hero Sentinel (going to try a trilogy run with this class)

Saphira: *signs important reports using only her initials* superior officer: ...
until she become a spectre: then it's "i don't care anymore for this paperwork!" nah, she'd still do it to piss of the Council
though she grows increasingly annoyed with the Council as time goes by cue ME2 Council: we'll reinstate you Saphira: what's that mean? Will I need to start filing reports? Salarian Councilor: *flashbacks to ME1* that won't be necessary Commander
and by the time ME3 rolls around she stopped caring altogether what they think of her...and is quite surprised when the Turian Councilor (and later the Salarian Councilor) starts helping her out

haha, personally my shepard just showed disrespect to the council, and when they asked "but what have you done? liberating the rachni queen?" , shepard just trolled them, and in the end of ME1, did not hesitate to sacrifice the council. (it allowed me to purge the council + keep more forces to kick sovereign's face) and it makes the fact that the turian councilor helped my shepard during ME3 perfectly logical: he was too scared of ending like the first council, so, he decided to help shepard in order to not get purged

Turian Councilor: how many generations before they (the rachni) overrun us? Shep: three, no...four! Turian Councilor: not funny!
the most pissed of she gets is after Virmire 1) they don't wanna listen 2) she just lost a friend (in my case Ashley) 3) they still dismiss her Shep: disconnect
which kinda makes the follow up funny 'cause Shep is all "see, they did listen in the end", only for it to backfire greatly I always let Anderson go to Udina's office, I'm giggling like mad when Anderson punches him
though in ME3 I tend to let Kaidan kill the shmuck...it's more fun to kill him ourselves but hey *shrug*

yes, it's very satisfying to see anderson just knock udina out as for ME3 and udina's case after the cerberus's assault on citadel, my first ME run and my current run gave different results, but don't worry, in thoose two different situations, shepard did kill udina. btw, i got a stupid idea: replace husk's models by udina's model (and their sound by some random udina's dialogue lines) (and find a way to make it apply to both SP and MP)---> i m sure the result would be wonderfull

I mean, people replace spiders with other creatures all the time... and...well, I can't be the only one who's scared of reaper forces...right?

It's so satisfying to watch Plus I love that small exchange at the end if you pick Anderson as new councilor. Udina: "Him? You must be joking. Anderson prefers to let his fists do the talking." Anderson: "Only with you, Ambassador. Only with you."

Finished my "Only Plot Quests" PT. Did only two side missions to trigger plot quests: chose Grunt and geth toy. Used "Evil Save" as it was easier for this PT. BUT it was not an Evil PT, just fast. Hackett's orders: so I got cannon fodder AFAP w/o doing side missions. On the Citadel just talked to my team and visited shops if needed. Decided to do what I have never done: Cortez died the very first time in all my PTs, told Allers to FO, forgot about two engineers, the Queen was dead, but I took in that thing (have never done it), such things. No DLCs at all. My team: Garrus + EDI worked just fine. Combination PM (BP) + Plasma + OL is so funny to use. Full n7 armor for me with sort of camouflage black-grey color (not as in ME2 which I like a lot), but at least something + green lights on the back - it is a war, but need to be stylish anyway, people are watching. As for weapons: low-lvl everything as Predator for me and EDI + Mattock for me with mag and AP mods and nothing can stop us. Garrus was the only one with fancy geth weapon, not in vain at least. Watched many times how he actually killed enemies, and many enemies - a real sniper. Stupid sword is nothing in comparison with that n7 armor, cool weapons with disruptor ammo + that funny combo. What does Kai know about war at all?! Idiot. Had very low rep, but did not need it at all with this save, so whatever. Missed many quests from my crew as rep was low anyway. Used those weapons everywhere. Changed only twice for Revenant (yes, I miss it even in ME3). After the Coup just "because", and for 4 Primes only during Priority geth-quarian mission. But with those low-lvl weapons and n7 armor - nothing could stop us but some enemies in the very-very end of the game. First two Bahshees were killed by the beam (funny), after other Banshees with shooters attacked. Used AR in the end to get to that spot. W/o doing spectre business, running around all the time, other things - it was rather relaxing. Think will do it again later. But still miss other missions. That's my "fast" fancy soldier. In the end it was not bad actually - I mean no end of the world. But conclusion: relaxing, could be played from time to time. And what is more important - I liked that fast PT with simple armor and weapon.

I mean, people replace spiders with other creatures all the time... and...well, I can't be the only one who's scared of reaper forces...right? *pat pat* don't worry, we'll call kaidan to rescue you and everything should be fine. and when you think about it: thoose monsters are necessary, because without them, there would be nothing kaidan would have to save you from . and technically, reapers where finally usefull in the long run, because having a common ennemy finally forced a lot of species to stop fighting each other in order to face their common foe. it also highlighted the incompetence and rampant corruption in a lot of organisations and allowed to finally make the global opinion favourable to dispose of them. [and if you are a green-end people ---> it even allows you to start the beginning of a galactic-scale golden age by sacrificing yourself]

Having finished my degree and being stuck at home with quarantine, I decided it was a perfect time to revisit the Mass Effect trilogy. I haven't played through the trilogy since 2013, so I figured the time was right. Playing on PC, I downloaded texture mods for the first time, which was quite a welcome upgrade, especially for ME1. I just finished ME1 this evening. Loved going through this conversation again, and the theme that accompanies it. Looking at ME1 from a fresh perspective, I'd say the game holds up well, especially from an atmosphere and story point of view. I actually found myself picking neutral responses more often than the past. I now find Paragon Shep can be a little too idealistic and naive sometimes. But you need to fill up that Paragon meter for gameplay purposes, so I still went with that the top right option more often than not. The gameplay is obviously dated, but I find the inventory system and combat has a certain charm to it, maybe it's just nostalgia. I tried to vary up the squadmates as much as possible for missions. However, the evolution in ambient banter and squadmate interactions from ME1 to ME3 is pretty apparent. I look forward to hearing my squadmates talk and interact more like in the later games. Next step, on to ME2! And watch the Normandy blow up ...

It offers a very fresh experience to replaying the game and delving deep into the lore. It's a mix of e-mails and reports with content taken from the old Cerberus Daily News stuff Bioware would put out for the lore junkies and some other sources. It doesn't really take too many liberties and stays relatively canon. You also get cosmetic additions to the Normandy (many can still affect your character and squad in combat), galaxy map missions that require decision making, cabin invites to your love interest, and much more.

[and if you are a green-end people ---> it even allows you to start the beginning of a galactic-scale golden age by sacrificing yourself] True enough
yeah, I did the green ending first time around..I cried ever since I've done the destroy(red) ending, and for my current playthrough I'll be using the JAM mod ('cause I'm a sucker for happy endings, and Shep, Joker and the Quarians+Geth deserve one)

I"ve never been able to get mods to work properly, and I've always been leery of using them because I'm afraid it will have negative affects on my game or something else horrible, like crash my entire system. But I can agree that many of them look quite good.

Man, I hope you install the Expanded Galaxy Mod for ME 3 once you get there. EGM is definitely on my radar! Actually, outside of From Ashes, it will be my first time playing Leviathan/Omega/Citadel DLCs. I was initially waiting for the DLCs to go on sale back in 2013/14, which never happened. But recently I found them 50% off on Origin, so I snapped them up. I managed to avoid spoilers somewhat for these DLCs also, so it should be quite an experience playing with EGM and all DLCs for the first time. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to approach the ending and Citadel DLCs, whether to keep the experience vanilla or try some ending mods. Still have time till I reach ME3 though.

I admit it took me several years to try some out as well the good thing is, that in time the modders get a lot better at making their mods, and as such make them safer with less bugs as well
Currently for my playthrough/game I have; for all three games
Recalibrated - fixes some inconsistencies and bugs, like for example Elanos Haliat in ME1 is supposed to be a turian but is portrayed as a human, the mod changes that 1 2 3 ALOT - upgrades various textures 1 2 3 (I also have the "necessary" texture mods, plus some personal picks )
ME3 only Better dreams - changes the nightmares Shepard has so it doesn't include "starchild" link Expanded Galaxy Mod - changes the war asset system and adds various minor quests across the galaxy map link Spectre Expansion Mod - improves the Spectre and Shadow broker terminals link Project Variety - adds (among other things) some more variety among the many aliens you encounter, for example, it adds more female turians during the Menae mission (since in the lore female turians also serve in the military) link FemShep's Closet - gives some more clothes to female Shepard link (I use the puffy vest one which also changes the intro outfit Shep wears) Extended Anderson farewell - what it says on the tin, basically it restores some cut dialogue link and finally JohnP's Alternate MEHEM - gives an alternate ending which come in two flavors, option A.) keeps the choice for green/blue/red and option B.) defaults the choice to the Destroy ending but with a twist link
I carefully looked if each mod was compatible with one another and carefully read the descriptions and installation instructions
