Okay so...played through Eden Prime again, blah blah...everyone knows the drill by now
Going to go to the Citadel tomorrow
Anyways...just wanted to post these Saph is very good at pulling frowny faces Saphira: next time I pick the place we're having drinks (yeah, I tend to pick the "morning after shore leave" option) Kaidan:
Also
Kaidan: sorry about what happened, it's all my fault Saphira: you had no idea what could've happened, don't blame yourself Cupid: *shoots arrow* Kaidan: *gets struck by said arrow*

I like that frowny face. Frowny faces are mandatory after this kind of sleep. You do use some sort of texture mod on Kaidan, right? But it appears as if Shep did not get Hi-res upgrade yet. That cupid likes overkill. I might have gotten it wrong, but I got the impressions that Kaidan is interested in FemShep from the get-go (also explaining why it is really easy to get "ninja-manced"). "No fraternisation" all well and good, but they knew each other for some time already, I guess. I take it more like "Phew. She does not blame me for that mess, so I might have a chance afterall."

and yep, Cupid sure does I do think your interpretation is better then mine though imo. getting ninja-ed by Liara is far easier then either Kaidan or Ashley I mean, you're nice to her a few times and the next time you speak to Kaidan/Ashley they wonder if there's something between Shepard and Liara

imo. getting ninja-ed by Liara is far easier then either Kaidan or Ashley True and true. Got that "thing" twice: somewhere during firs PTs (do not remember), and about 1,5 year ago. Forgot about Liara-ninja-romance (as just go after her the last then right to Ilos), talked to her to get XP, chose the phrase "not interested" and went to Feros (NM mode, crappy gear, killed on foot, such things). Returned and what do I hear? "Oh, Sheard, thank you for waiting!" WTH?! Needed a certain save with no romances at all, and after that had to replay the whole Feros again. But before yelled at Liara just in case - after that still can talk to her and get ex anyway. What a ninja indeed. Saph is very good at pulling frowny faces It can be funny to watch in games though such things add reality as it does happen in our life, just rather fast so we may not notice. In games we have no choice about it. But it is a usual thing anyway.

In games we have no choice about it. But it is a usual thing anyway. people blame Leliana for ninja-mancing as well...I admit, she ninja-ed me on my first male Warden (who I intended to go with Morrigan) so he romanced Leliana, then later on gets seduced by Morrigan anyway I head-cannoned Morrigan being jealous of Leliana and seducing my Warden by ways of spiting her. Then of course my Warden falls for her for real, and she's all "well...that wasn't the plan" I did make it up to Leliana in my next playthrough where I made a new Warden who romanced her
-- and you're right...I'm often told I pull frowny faces when I'm concentrated, at the same time people ask if I'm angry when I do that so I tend to be all "no...this is just my face, I'm not angry" ...'cause, when I'm angry...silent treatment overkill (my anger tends to be akin to a volcano...boiling before erupting)

So just" friend/friend/friends - phrases". A good thing about DAO that you can just tell you are not interested (in ME 1 there is no turning back - only reloads). and you're right...I'm often told I pull frowny faces when I'm concentrated, at the same time people ask if I'm angry when I do that so I tend to be all "no...this is just my face, I'm not angry" ...'cause, when I'm angry...silent treatment overkill (my anger tends to be akin to a volcano...boiling before erupting) I tend to have "no emotions/reactions" face. People can't understand what I am thinking about or what feel at all. Could be useful.

I'd describe it as entering romance with a character you didn't try/want to romance, usually happens by picking dialogue options that don't really feel romance-like, closer to friendship/general niceness, but are flagged as romance-triggering by game.

but i think it's more because i m not nice enough with my crews Actually I think you have been very lucky all the time or just have a natural knack for such things. E.G. in ME1 remember I was rude with Ash at some point hoping to avoid any romances (again needed a save w/o romances in ME1 with a male Shepard), but her phrases after that just surprised me: Ash just imposed herself on me even when I was rude. After had to reload and use really rude phrase which I did not like as I like Ash very much and just wanted to be friendly with her. So, can never know....

The 'Nina mance' from Liara also comes from one of the response options to her talk about 'something special between her and Shepard' (forgot the exact phrasing) being bugged in vanilla. IIRC you have the chance there to say that Shepard wants a relationship, just wants to be friends, and turn her away. The the friends option still counts as romance one).

(even garrus does a better job than me with this ) Even better Oghren? (if you played DAO). That would be more interesting comparison. i think i should try someday to do another run, but this time, a run where i don't spend ME1 acting like a heartless dictator with my crews Good-luck with that having a triangle where you propose three-some and Liara 's stupid comment "Oh, Shepard, I am so glad you have chosen me!". Who wrote this anyway? it might have played a huge role avoiding ninja-romancing ashley Ash is a very good squadmate in ME3 actually. Hope you did not sacrafice her all the time and used in ME3. She and Garrus actually - a very strong team (my Javelin Sniper PT/Soldier PT were one of the best tbh). Romance or no, in ME3 upgraded Ash is still good teammemeber.

"Hope you did not sacrifice her all the time" ...I feel called out since my main romance is Kaidan, Ashley inevitably gets sacrificed on Virmire... though if it'd been an option to sacrifice someone else, or safe her as well...I'd have taken it in a heart beat
I just don't like sacrificing characters if I can avoid it, sadly in ME1 you can't avoid it (and to think there's cut content where it would've been able to safe 'em both)

I remember once checking flags on my main femShep's save in Gibbed for ME2 and just talking with Ashley maxed out my romance points with her. Even Kaidan - actual romance for that Shep - had less romance points than her Luckily - as I said - I was femShep. Plus she bit the dust on Virmire So with how the system works in ME1, I tend to sacrifice Kaidan on Virmire if I plan to romance someone else. I just don't like outright rejecting Kaidan/Ash. I feel no remorse turning down Liara tho, so she can live. Well, not like the game let's me have a say in that matter...

I plead guilty for having done this in one playthrough, as I wanted that FemShep to be free of any possibly entanglement, as I intended for her to romance Garrus in 2. If it is any comfort, if I would have ever made it that far with a male Shep, I might have done the same with Ashley. I guess these days I would just hack the flags and numbers via save editor, pretty much like I do with the Blue/Red point count in 2. Can't say I like 2's railroading regarding P/R.

i haven't played dragon age, so i don't know who is oghren. is he that akward and obvious? (don't worry about spoiling me stuff, i m immune to the bad effect of spoilers) I'd say Oghren is... special. *after entering brothel* "Now this is what I'm talking about! Ooh, come to Oghren, ye long-limbed goddesses. The pride of Orzammar is in the house!" *after seeing giant tower in a middle of the lake* "Ooh, that's huge. (Giggles) I wonder how long it took to erect it. (Giggles) Get it? Erect?" *after delivering death notification* "So. You know that husband of yours? Dead. Sorry!" or "Er, hm. Oh! Good news, lady: you are single!" Yep, special. So with how the system works in ME1, I tend to sacrifice Kaidan on Virmire if I plan to romance someone else. Never lasted long enough with mShep as well I just know I'd feel bad rejecting Ash. What I usually use Gibbed for is check and eventually correct some plot flags that like to bug, like Conrad's.

Sorry, now I can just picture this one as a fat tank. yeah, it's true that, for an MBT, chonma-ho s aren't fat (they are kinda skinny for 21 century MBT standard) however, songun-ho is kinda (look at it's proportion and the distance beetween the exterior of the front and the crew coupolas: the potential armor volume is similar to chinese MBT3000 series and to russians T-90A series) and yes, B1 bis was a goooodly beast on it's time: more armor than what the most common AT weaponry at that time could pierce on the average fighting distance. but i m generally more fan of cold war era eastern block MBTs: they had very efficient, reliable, easy to upgrade and simple designs (being the reason why there's so much of them still doing a decent job in asymetrical warfare in a lot of countries)

I remember once checking flags on my main femShep's save in Gibbed for ME2 and just talking with Ashley maxed out my romance points with her. Whenever I check it - see the same. ME1 flirting systeme is broken indeed: wanted one thing, decided not to but left "flags". And here we are, discussing ninja-romances because of that and replaying whole plot-quests sometimes.

Garrus can't even understand that a person is flirting with him. Damn, even cutscene in DLC Citadel while meeting with him as a friend remember? I did not push any green buttons and Garrus, instead of having "reach and flexibility" night continued as if nothing to talk about GUNS. Though could have spent a night with a woman, but knows nothing about such things. Guns are more important. Oghren in actually another person whom I would describe as "want to fuck everything that moves". He always makes comments to EVERYONE about sex and things connected. If you have romance or something else is going on he WILL comment it, be sure of that. Only even if I really like him (and as I understand many people do), his comments are aweful - so he is like Garrus only he understands "flirting" in a very wrong manner and does it 24/7. Hell, even if your PC is a woman there is a funny dialogue option to flirt with him, only his reaction to it is hilarious. Oghren is awesome imo.

-me, an intellectual: fat armor, all HP and shield stats maxed, techno-armor maxed, fortification maxed, don't even remember to use powers, just rush and shoot randomly with assault rifle or shotgun, and when reaching close range, just use melee cuz reloading takes too long Ash fits in such tactics. Not to worry. Just give her AR instead of SR. Try it at least several times (know one time is usually not enough to overcome oneself...). That's what DAO players call a tank. They do not. In DA2/DAI only. DAO "tank" has another meaning if compare to what chonma has described in ME3.
