" I will not be second guessed on my ship...by my ship" ~ Shepard ME2 has funny lines, a lot more then ME1. My Shepard went to recruit The Warlord. She ended up meeting with a certain Rana. An Asari who hanged out on Virmire when Shepard blew the place up 2 years ago. She ran away again after being told to do so. Miranda complained Shepard was doing too many favors. Then after some fighting against a crazy merc leader the "Warlord" ended up asking Shepard to take his tank breed Krogan along as his dying wish. Nobody on the ship wanted the tank to be opened. Shepard did it anyway and got Grunt as a crewmember now. It was like opening a surprise box! Shep also talked to the rest of the crew, but why are all conversation with Jacob sounding like I'm flirting with him. I need Liara back asap. Well you'll have to wait for Illium fo rher unfortunately but you'll gtett ohasve some fun blowing up the Shadowbroker a bit later I'm sure.

Dani Shepard (Soldier) in ME1LE just completed all of Feros. I am not going to be bothered to do a big write-up on it.
But I will say this: for all the talk about Immunity-spamming enemies in the original ME1, Thorian Creepers with their insane amounts of health were way worse and continue to be the worst.

My new Shep, Sadiya, made it off the Citadel and into the Traverse today. I was amused to already 17% of the game's trophies before doing so.
Insanity had been really, really easy throughout. I finally encountered a proper fight on Therum, where the Geth Armature, Snipers and friends are guarding the Prothean site.
I had Kaidan (for locks) and Wrex with me, and they got hammered immediately. I peaked out at the wrong time and caught an Armature blast to the soul. Mission Failure.
Upon resuming, I immediately used proper tactics and a few brain cells. I positioned Kaidan on our left to protect that angle; and Wrex in the middle behind the big ass crate. Shepard (a Sentinel) used Barrier and sprinted right.
We had to keep grabbing those jumpers with Lift. I kept Kaidan clean with complimentary fire arcs. We used Sabotage to keep the Armature quiet while we slowing scrapped its army. Being able to competently swap between AR, Pistol and Sniper Rifle was great. It allowed my Sentinel to snipe those backline heavy hitters in a way she just couldn't have done in the original.
Eventually, I moved aggressively up the middle, right into the Armature's face. Disabling and scrapping it was quick with it nearly alone. I had Wrex move up left and Kaidan center to draw fire and suppress the remaining backliner. I flanked it to its right, scrapping its only buddy before shooting it from behind.
It's been a long time since I've had a fun, tactical combat in a game like this. My weak, early game gear and general neglect of weapon skills to that point probably made things a bit more challenging. It was a lot of fun.
The (in)famous fight with the Geth and the Battlemaster was really easy. The Battlemaster never had a chance to do anything, and the Geth seemed fewer and less dangerous than I ever recall.
Fast forward to another system, planet Trebin. I got to fight my second thresher maw, this one bringing out all the stops. I like the more involved Maw battles. They're like proper mini-bosses, now.
Wrex and Garrus helped me find the missing ExoGeni team who'd all been turned into husks. Full on zombie apocalypse. They attacked much quicker than I ever recall. As a made a fighting retreat into the entry chamber, Wrex and Garrus eventually got overwhelmed. Thankfully, I'd just trained the SPECTRE Unity skill, and revived them when I started to be too badly outnumbered. The final surge from the rear tunnels was crazy. We were not in jeopardy, but the room was teeming with husks.
I saved for the night back aboard Normandy. I made that very rapid transition from relatively poor with shitty gear to "everyone is wearing Lv5 armors and I'm about to get rich".
Looking forward to playing more tomorrow.

Yeah, once you know how to deal with them, they're pretty easy. But there's no real shortcut on making healt-sponges... well... lesser health-sponges.

So I am going to try and do something different then your more typical 'what did you do today' stuff since I have done that sort of thing a few times now and I also realized I am not sure I have done this here before...or at least done this kind of thing with my Ryder, and I am going to be playing through all of the Mass Effect games back to back. Namely journalling as my characters in character and doing sort of a 'personal log' style. When I feel like chiming in I'll divide it and seperate it but otherwise...
From the inaugural opening of the Reaper War Museum, the Shepard exhibit, March 3rd 2386, conducted by Doctor Liara T'soni Welcome sentient beings from across the Galaxy I am Doctor Liara T'soni and this is the grand opening of the Reaper War museum and the Shepard exhibit.
Within you will find artificats from the first human Spectres career of the events leading up to the Reaper War and the subsequent struggle against the machines. Interviews with her crew, testimonials, archival and news footage from different battlefields...and something for the war nerds...a live fire replica of the first model weapons that Shepard used during her time, including the Valkyrie and Revenant.
But the main exhibit involved personal logs and archival footage from her time in command of the Normandy SR-1 and SR-2, released to us by Admiral Shepard after the occasion of her death by order of her will...and released to us by her estate. These personal video journals give us valuable insight about her character and mindset, faithfully restored as close as possible to her words and actions though we have not been able to restore her entire data files due to data degredation and damage the Normandy SR-2 sustained on the Battle of Earth. Enjoy your time and if you have any questions...well many of our museum curators will be happy to help you.
From the personal logs of Lt. Cmdr. Abigail Shepard, May 14th 2183.
I got my orders to muster out again. I had my suspicions when I had heard the rumors that the Normandy project was nearing its completion but I am still a little surprised that Anderson was able to actually pull it off and keep his promise. But I will be serving as his XO...I have certainly come a long way from that kid growing up on the streets of Los Angelas.
May 18th, 2183
They want to make me a Spectre...so the Captain tells me anyways. *she sighs and scratches at one of her eyebrows* The price of success I suppose. Though if I knew at the end of my journey was being left at the tender mercies of the Council then I probably wouldn't have volunteered for N school, let alone OCS. And the worse part is no one consulted me on this...and while my dislike of the Council and humanity's involvement within that intergalactic body is not exactly official...its also not exactly a state secret either. So I just can't tell if this is some sort of punishment or if I really am the best one for the job.
Though at the end of the day at least Nihlus seems competent, a little severe and over bearing but still competent. I look forward to working with him, haven't had the chance to work with a lot of Turians in my time in the service so far. Even if I do not approve of the reasons for it...
And the mission to Eden Prime has been a lot more complicated, in fact I am running a bit late but the colony is under attack by an unknown and hostile alien force. While its difficult to tell ship sizes on that monitor that thing has to be at least the size of a Dreadnaught, and its like no design I've ever seen. So...I should go.
May 20th
Its funny that I have never been to the Citadel before in my career. I have been from one end of the galaxy to others on one combat op or another, chasing assignments, the occasional posting on an actual warship...but this is the first time I have been to the home of the galactic government. And...its magnificent. The Protheans really knew what they were doing and everything we as a species have achieved has paled in comparison. The perfect symbolic home for a centralized government like the Council...and even the Destiny Ascension is massive. Bit surprised that the over friendly Asari could come up with such a beast...but there it is.
And yet it is the perfect home for a government such as the Council...I wonder if this is what people felt like in the 21st century when *static*...but it certainly acts the part. To be fair I cannot blame them in some ways since we do not have a lot of concrete evidence but they just entirely brushed us aside in the name of...what? And it does not change the facts on the ground either. We still have to find Saren and the Council is geting in the way of that.
Still there is a chance they'll still do the right thing, the Captain has forbidden us from going after him on my own but there are still people investigating him...so I will try and find what proof I can to get them to change their minds.
May 24th
Well its done, I didn't have much of a choice in the matter but it was the only way to see this through... *chuckles ruefully*. I am now a Spectre. I now serve both the Alliance and the Citadel Council. I cannot believe anyone thought this was a good idea...but then I suppose if I am going to have this power then it should be me who wields it...though that is the same logic that probably led to Saren in the first place. And I know I do not make the right decisions so...no pressure.
*growls* Whats crap is what happened to Anderson over this. They took away his ship, the project he poured most of his life into to one day get command and they just take it away from him with a wave of their hands. I feel like an imposter in command now. Like I have stolen something precious from him...I know he supports me and I know Captain is a little advanced for a Frigate posting but still. He did not deserve to go down like this and I shouldn't be in command...
Yet here I am. *chuckles* Last month I was a mere Lieutenant and now I am full Commander in command of a warship...what'll it be? Two months and I'll be a fleet Admiral?
May 30th
The new crew seems to be working out just fine. I do have some reservations about them being aboard, I can't not deny that, this is an Alliance warship...even if it was co developped with the Turians...just something to get used to. But they are good at their jobs. Garrus and Wrex are kind of bad asses and Wrex makes a good body guard...Tali seems to be a bit more technical support and that is fine.
We also ran into an Asari slaver...something about a Nassana Dantius...wonder what that was about. I'll look into it when we return to the Citadel to restock.
In other news...there is something about Kaidan. He seems to like watching me...but not with the open aggression or hunger most of my former romantic interests seemed to be. More weary. More concerned about...something. Suppose this could go somewhere.
We are right now in the Artemis Tau cluster trying to track down the Asari Liara. Hopefully we can get there before Saren and the Geth find her.

Cassandra Shepard; Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Sentinel. A seemingly very nice and proper Alliance soldier, Cassandra is rough around the edges. Years of living alone on the streets of Earth and the traumatic experiences on Akuze have made her indifferent about such things as morality and ethics. She'll survive, no matter the costs. Eden Prime left her with a major headache and it seems Saren is to blame. His head will roll. Deeply satisfied with how she looks btw. The lips might be a bit too much... but only a bit

Thanks for getting the trend going; I think I'll post one of my "Commander's Log" as well in the future.

Did a lot of exploring and I am now at credit cap. Was able to recover Wrex's family armor. Also got ninjamanced by Ashley (again) which is unfortunate since I will have to sacrifice her on Virmire to save Kaidan. I wish they had done something to fix that ninjamance situation but oh well. My Shepard thinks of her as his closest friend but nothing more. Also went to Therum and saved Liara. She's very pretty now. Killed the krogan and returned to ship where my Shepard was forced to "mind melt" with her. After he gladly had some drinks with Ashley to celebrate Armistice Day.

I just had a nightmare that Abby would somehow ninjamance Liara this PT. It would be incredibly awkward for my poor Shepard having to admit her feelings for Kaidan fully like that. But then, I suppose only time will tell. Speaking of which is it just me or does Fem Sheps and Ashley's parting line whenever they finish up a conversation sounds super flirty?

How is the Hammerhead does i tfeel less explodey than in the original. No issues in Firewalker. In Overlord, I didn't explode outside getting hit by the Geth gun which is insta-kill, but that was a L2P issue. There "alarm" for damage went off a few times fighting against a few turrets, but there is a single time I saw the vehicle on fire and I might have been more reckless that time. So I'll say yes...but I don't remember how much explodey it used to be, it's been a long time since I played the DLC.

Saved the Council like a badass and had them recognize that humanity's ruthlessness to some can also be heroic determination to others! It took me a little longer than average ME players to beat ME1, but better late than never! Onward to my favorite video game of all time, ME2!

Late last night, which we'll count as today since it technically is: First, I helped Aria protect the Patriarch but went against her wishes because my Shepard felt like busting some faces and being a big ole space bully. That went against Aria's wishes, but she got a hard-on for Renegades so it worked in my favor. Carrie Anne Moss's voice acting made me rethink my choice to stay faithful to Liara, thank God there weren't explicit romance options because I would have failed miserably. Then, I explored the Citadel and whored Shepard's legendary name in all the stores because discounts. I also got some fish and a space hamster so her quarters wouldn't feel so lonely. Next, this will require some headcanon explanations: since I find it incredibly stupid that Shepard just takes the Illusive man's word for it about her entire team I believe Shepard would actively looking for them. She realizes Liara can't or won't be found, and thus, my Shepard decides to avoid dealing with what this means for their relationship by getting shitfaced every chance she gets. Therefore, she got drunk at Afterlife, then the Citadel—and woke up in the bathroom there—then drank some more on the ship. And finally, knowing Ashley would be on Horizon, Shep hauled ass and charged her way in to fight the collectors for the first time to get reunited with her former Gunny. Ashley didn't even call her skipper. The conversation broke her heart, and thus, my Shepard is now a full-fledged alcoholic.

So I woke up early this morning with this problem still on the brain: Since Sunday, I've been struggling bringing my Shepard, Quorra Shepard to live in MELE. I couldn't get her to look right in ME3. So, I decided it was time to completely overhaul Quorra with a brand new face, hair, etc. In the end I came up with this. I really like it. I just need to get use to it. And I'm happy to say that she transfers to ME3 a lot better Quorra 4.0 (Official):*Phew* It's been a rough few days. I created her face in ME3, then copied & pasted her face code to see if it would fit. I'm glad it does. Now I can finally play 😂. I'm going to start ME1 again fresh tomorrow.

My Shepard freed The Convict from her ship prison. Or did a prison break. Or the Convict did a prison break after Shepard was "arrested" because the prison owner is a greedy asshole. It's complicated. Anyhow, prison ship went down in flame, Shepard got a new squadmate and she's crazy. Said convict wanted Cerberus intels to come aboard the ship. Shepard was happy to give it to her... Then Shep took Garrus and Jack, the convict, to a human colony in the Terminus system because the Collectors were apparently going to attack. Turns out Ash was there. She was a bit annoying that Shep and Garrus joined up with Cerberus to stop attacks on humans colonies. She couldn't let that go actually. Stupid Ash. She made no comment about Jack thought, you think she would have considering what Jack is wearing, or well, not wearing. After that, TIM gave more intels to Shepard for more recruiting. Jacob and Miranda had personal request too. Now the galatic map is back full of quest flags. I also unlocked Arrival and Lair of the Shadow Broker. I'll have to decide when I'm doing them.

After platinum insanity on ME1, on with insanity on ME2.
Even on insanity difficulty you can usually hunker down and whittle the enemies away.
Touch and go so far in ME2 are:
Loki and Fenris mechs because they keep on coming, while other enemies usually take cover. Husks, for the same reason - they are tough on insanity and demand attention.
The cellar of Archangel's hideout was really tough because the clock's ticking and Garrus' health is slipping away. Got there on probably attempt #10, with Garrus' health at a red sliver (before things get worse for him).
And the final courtyard on Horizon was no joke, but that's done.
Hope to build up my stats before the next sticky encounter (Collector ship maybe?)

Finished all the side missions on Illium, it was nice to see old faces. I love how some of the big decisions you made in ME1 have a side quest attached to it. I also tackled the Shadow Broker DLC, and I'd never done it before, so I was really surprised to see that we actually get to mend Shepard and Liara's relationship/continue it. The fights were great and the cutscenes looked amazing too. Now onto completing all the loyalty missions and upgrade the ship before I tackle the Omega 4 Relay mission. My Shepard is no longer an alcoholic cause she got the wifey back.

Things went a bit crazy after my last post. I save a human colony from the Collectors, recruited Tali, visited the Collector ship (got a shotgun now!), did some planet side stuff and got Tali's loyalty mission which I decided to do right away. I also completed Jacob's loyalty mission somewhere in there. It's not everyday you get a guy to commit suicide... And all the time after Horizon, all I wanted to do was go to Illium. I still haven't set foot there and I'll probably do Garrus's loyalty mission before doing that too. I have lots of quests already for Illium and Grunt/Mordin's loyalty mission on the Krogan's planet too. And I'm starting to get annoyed with ME2 questing design. I don't like how the Horizon and Collector ship missions are forced on you and how the game throws all those loyalty missions on you. My main missions tabs has more entries than my side missions one.... Also, I hate Scions...

I abandoned Tali and Liara in the hot labs. Liara teleported crawled up the elevator shaft, she really needed to confront Benezia. In fact Liara's anxiousness was so great she was bouncing up and down in anticipation. Tali didn't make it. I thought it would be funny if Liara was both for and against releasing the Queen, but turns out if you only have one follower Shepard automatically releases the Rachni Queen.
