Went to save Aralakh Company for Wrex. Grunt was in charge and it was great to see him. They were investigating rachni presence and it was there. They were modified by the Reapers and the queen was chained up. Based on an encounter with an asari on Illium and couldn't imagine she would voluntarily side with the Reapers. Also consistent with the conversation on Noveria. The rachni hate the Reapers and I was given assurance that they'd come to help when called. We had to kill the basically indoctrinated rachni to free the queen. She said she'd help with the Crucible. Turns out their killer tech experts and a huge asset. I hope Kasumi enjoys her time with them.
I was thinking, though, about the concerns with the krogan and the rachni. The krogan were uplifted to fight the rachni. Both races breed insanely fast. Is it possible they could sort of checkmate each other? An unofficial means of stabilizing both races?
Got it done. It meant setting up the Mother of All Thresher Maws against a Reaper but Mordin was able to create a cure for the genophage that was disseminated throughout Tuchanka using a massive "Shroud" that was there. It cost Mordin his life but he knew that was going to be the case. Sucks.
Got work from Valern that he thinks Udina is up to something. I've always hated that guy but I know he was devastated by what happened to Earth. I just hope he knows what he's doing so I don't have to shoot him in the head. We don't have time to vet another Councilor for Earth.

Citadel. It's a mess. Cerberus took over, Thane of all people told me what was going on using an emergency channel and Bailey had been shot, but it medigel was enough to get him moving. Now here's the thing. Valern was suspicious of Udina moving a lot of money around. Immediately after, Cerberus has control of the Citadel. Coincidence? As it turns out, no. Worse, he tried to pin it on me! And he almost had Kaidan convinced! Fortunately he came to his senses and shot the real bad guy. Meanwhile, some bad anime villain badly injured Thane and when I catch up with that fucker he's dead. Honestly, he should already be dead. There's this thing in the universe known as "Plot Armor" that's been protecting him but it won't last. I took down Tela Vasir. Thane, near the end of his life, almost took him down. There's no reason I couldn't take him out, especially not with Liara at my back. Plot Armor.

Recruited Zaeed and he asked for help with a contract he had, recruited kasumi and she asked for help with a heist, recruited Mordin and he asked for help with a cure. Just once I'd like to ask someone for help and hear them say " sure let's go right now no strings attached.

ME 2It just hit me tonight when I was trying to avoid all the seconadry crew members since I am trying to get up through to the Revenant ASAP and there will be plenty of time to do things later... but I didn't do that with Ken and Gabby when I procured the FBA couplings, should have followed my rememberance and instincts and not did it but going to miss out on the Tali scene. Oh and first time Shepard told them all to have fun on their own...I think. At least Abigail. Got up to recruiting Grunt and really Jedore really seemed to be one of the Isu voice actresses from AC...but I don't think she was on my research. Also something fun I think I noticed it before kind of but when Okeer said 'collective human teets' Abby's eyes really narrowed and the camera seemed to linger for once. Got a good laugh from me.

After I wrapped up most of my business on the Citadel, I found Kaidan waiting in the airlock to talk to me about the incident with Udina and the Council. He's new as a Spectre and not used to the idea that he can shoot bad guys in the face. I told him it was the only way. I didn't mention that he could literally have stopped Udina from doing anything with his biotics but it's okay. I could have too but it's more satisfying to shoot someone I've hated for the last four years. Kaidan also wanted to rejoin the SR2 and of course I said yes.
Back on the SR2, Anderson and Hackett mentioned that the asari and salarians are finally on board with helping to build the Crucible. Such assholes. Took me saving them from an assassination attempt before they realized yes, we're fucked if we don't do this. And then...the asari want my help on a colony that's gone dark. At least Sparatus made the "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kind of thing. That I can respect, especially since he understood the stakes. The other two? Especially the Tevos, who wouldn't even show up for the summit because someone else at the summit was upset about it even happening. Makes zero sense. Valern, well, he's always the one to squash whatever I want to do but turns out he really knew my capabilities. Why else would he ask for me, specifically, to help in the Udina investigation? Because he knew I was trustworthy.
Heard about some ex-Cerberus scientists in trouble. If they're "ex" it means they're on the run from TIM. Of course Jacob ended up there. So was Gavin Archer. I so wanted to lie and say I didn't know anything about David but if he's got some useful expertise then I can't afford to lose him. Anyway, blah blah they're all useless without me, I fix every single one of their problems - seriously, I did - and then got them evacuated. Jacob had a kid on the way and the scientists had families with them. It would have been a shitty thing to do to not save the innocent ones. Oh, and did anyone know Archer was worth 25 war assets?
Head off to the asari colony which turns out to be an Ardat-Yakshi monastery. Samara had led me to believe Morinth was the only one yet here they were. Liara did tell me that they can leave behind astronomical body counts and then Morinth hadn't come anywhere near that level of killing. So the idea was to have asari commandos blow up the place if the thought there was a threat. Except the asari commandos never reported in. Here's the crappy thing. The asari commandos were all dead but there were also one of those husk things. Cannibals, I think. They were also dead. And there's some screeching noise that reminds me of banshees from Irish mythology. Another kind of husk? Only one thing that could be made from. Samara was also there because she had two other Ardat-Yakshi daughters though she these two had never showed an inclination toward violence. Maybe they'd be allies.
Ran into those screeching things. Based on the look, they have to be asari and they've got really powerful asari powers. One of Samara's daughters confirmed those things are Ardat-Yakshi. Considering it looked like the monastery could house thousands, and on a few asari are present, it means the Reapers have put those things in play in the galaxy. Samara's other daughter was in the process of being turned into one of those monsters. She was strong enough to resist the indoctrination and her final act was the blow the monastery and the banshees to Hell.

Recruited Jack. The blue suns betrayed Shepard. Guess they didn't like the fact that Shepard tried to kill Vido. Jack wasn't quite what Shepard expected, nevertheless she would be a powerful body to throw at the collectors. Jack wanted files on Cerberus. Shepard told her to get settled in and he'd give her access soon. But what did she do? Went and looked at them anyway. Shepard not happy about this, sternly warning her not to jeopardize the integrity of his ship. Shepard getting ready to deck her in the face if she wouldn't stay in line. Shepard was confident he could immobilize Jack before she had a chance to use her biotics if he had to.
Went to horizon. Shepard was dying for a chance to go toe to toe with the collectors. He finally got his chance. Shepard failed to save the entire colony but he considered the mission a success regardless. His reunion with Ashley did not go well. She called him a traitor to everything he believed in. She once again failed to look at the big picture. Colonies were disappearing. The alliance weren't doing anything. Cerberus was a means to an end.. simple as that. But Ashley couldn't see past her distrust of Cerberus. Whatever, if she wouldn't see reason than so be it.

The blue suns betrayed Shepard. This is why my Shepard shoots mercs on sight. Unless they work for me. I'm also okay with pushing them out the windows of tall building. So far it's worked out exceptionally well.

ME1 MELE
Finally got started last night! It's been waaaay too long since I played a brand new character in ME1 so I had to Google how to hot key powers (left shift!). Another surprise: apparently with the new combat for ME1 the husks on Eden Prime now have shields??! WTF is that about?! I'm only playing on Veteran mode here.
Pics from Eden Prime
After recovering from the beacon explosion, Shepard welcomed Ashley aboard the Normandy. I'm not normally so friendly with her right off the hop but we're starting fresh here. I'll probably still leave her on Virmire though.
View from the Citadel Hello old friend! Congratulations are in order
Picked up Kahoku's quest, Garoth's quest, Jenna's quest (did not go back to Chora's Den yet), Helena Blake's quest, scanned all the keepers (only 20?), and got Bhatia's body released. I have not met the consort, gone back to Chorban about his friend, meddled with the big stupid preaching jellyfish, and have only found the first two segments of the rogue AI transmissions.

While scanning, I found vorcha intelligence. This explains so much. I'll have to deliver this to them ASAP.
Eden Prime. Not a soul alive who wasn't wearing Cerberus armor and shooting at me. Intel said they tricked the colonists. Took lots of them, sent them to "training" (aka, killed them) and then increased rations on the rest - until gunning them down in cold blood. They were in their kitchens, watching biotiball or just lounging. None of them were armed. Also found the Prothean "relic", which turned out to be a Prothean in stasis. Saw videos of some of the last fights it they were against what had to be indoctrinated Protheans. They were also partially modified, though nothing like they would become as Collectors. It also had to be many years after the initial invasion since there were already people in stasis pods - dead people since the pods had been damaged. The one in this pod we found had to be the solider in the videos - videos only I could understand thanks to the Prothean Cipher. Don't know how useful a soldier would be in understanding the Crucible but I bet he wants vengeance. And that was true. Javik joined the fight against the Reapers.
I let Garrus win so he could feel like he was better than me at something. I held off a massive attack on Elysium. Three little merc gangs on Omega were about to take him out. But I won't bring that up.
Met with Kaidan. Despite him flirting with me as recently as on the SR2 in the past week, we both developed amnesia and forgot we ever had anything. So we had a date and agreed to... ... ...date. I know, weird, right? Then again, he distrusted me at every turn since we went to Mars so maybe this was necessary.
Got to chat with Miranda. Her father took Oriana and is working with TIM. She still wants to go it alone. It sucks, too, because I'd really love her on the SR2 at my side. I trust her and she's a kick ass fighter. Maybe even have a little crush on her.
The quarians decided now was the time to attack the geth and take back Rannoch. Now. In the middle of a war in which if we lose there won't even be a Rannoch. I knew the Admiralty Board was full if idiots when they charged Tali with treason. I called them out for using her as a political pawn. If they lose this, not only do we lose the quarian fleet but the geth will side with the Reapers. We had the loyalty of Legion but we can't count on this with this stupid move.
First thing that happens when with get to that geth dreadnaught? Garrus offers Tali chocolate, I wonder if it's shaped like hearts. And now the "I missed you" comments.
We found Legion. Restrained. His body used to transmit a Reaper signal to the other geth to make them more powerful. Why were the geth allied with the Reapers? C'mon, take a guess? In case you couldn't figure it out it's because the quarians attacked and they would have been destroyed! Fucking idiots. Oh, and once Legion was freed he shut down the defenses. At which point Admiral Gerrel fired on it with my, Tali and Garrus aboard. We escaped but it was fun punching him in the gut and kicking him off my ship. Xen tried to confiscate Legion and I made it very clear she shouldn't cross me.
Legion told me something interesting. After defeating the Collectors, the geth believed the Reapers were coming. They were planning to go to war with the Reapers. And those fucking quarians ruined it.
I'm on Rannoch now to save an admiral. The same one you charged Tali with treason. The only reason I'm going is because he's placing the welfare of his people over going to war with the geth. I can respect that. Tali is in heaven being on Rannoch. And it is like heaven, if you look at it. The planet reclaimed what was lost due to sentient races doing their thing and is us beautiful. Javik didn't seem impressed but he hates synthetics so I figured he'd like it here.
Found a quarian who was dying. Couldn't be saved. He mentioned that if the quarians survived to tell his son Jona that he made it to the homeworld. Jona - the same kid who lost his mother on the Alarei due to quarian stupidity. Now this kid's an orphan. Fucking quarians.
Helped Legion put an end to a major server. All geth ships attacking to quarians just stopped. No programs in them. But then a bunch of Geth Primes showed up. Freaked me out until Legion said they had decided to form an alliance and help fight the Reapers. I wish Xen hadn't been behind a mask when I let her know that the Primes volunteered rather than be coerced. Her body language said it all.
Now on to the big one. The Reaper Base on Rannoch.

You want to know why there will be a sequel to ME3 with at least Garrus, possibly Shepard and others returning? Bottles. The below image told the player what the villain will be in ME4. Helped deal with the quarians and geth

ME1 MELE
After getting control of the Normandy, Raven Shepard headed to the Artemis Tau cluster to look for Benezia's daughter, Dr. T'soni, She'd thought she would go to Feros first, but this place was closer and on the way.
Scanned all the available planets in the cluster, then landed on Therum. Man, this place looks great! Well, for a smoking volcano, that is. Found lots of geth and shot them all up with the Mako. Also managed to squeeze through the hole and take the tank all the way up to the mine entrance. Nevermind that this took me about 20 minutes and several dunks in the lava before I got it. Taking the geth out on foot probably would have been faster.
Ran across my first (and second) thresher maws. Egads, these things got a serious upgrade with the laser targeting acid balls that follow the Mako around. Was too busy driving and shooting like a maniac to take any pictures.
Currently in Hades Gamma cluster, about to investigate the dig site the missing Exogeni scientists were working on. It's going to be full of shielded husks, isn't it?

Javik is going down to Rannoch with me and Tali to take out the Reaper base. Why him? He thinks he knows it all. Thinks he knows how all synthetics work and how all the organics of this cycle don't know shit. I'm going to show him how it's done. And I did. I directed the fleet with a hand-held targeting laser to destroy the Reaper base, which was actually a Reapers. Took a few hits and it kept getting closer to me. I didn't flinch. Then I saw the geth upgraded, brokered peace between the geth and quarians, got the quarians back on their homeworld and got access to both geth and quarians fleets. That, Javik, is how it's done. That's why this is the third Reaper I've personally took out and it's why his people are dead. But best of all, I have that Reaper a big fuck you in my conversation with it before we completely obliterated it. The only thing I was sad about was the loss of Legion. He had to sacrifice himself to upgrade the geth, just like Thane sacrificed himself against a wannabe bad anime villain and how Mordin sacrificed himself to end the genophage. Their sacrifices were to make the galaxy a better place and something to aspire to.
Intai'sei. I won an apartment there fair and square but because I was the big winner at Pinnacle Station. Now it's rubble.
Went to Omega with Aria. It's being held by some asshole named Petrovsky, a close personal from of TIME. He said he thinks I'm great because he's researched me. Then he says I fear success deep down inside of my. Um, where the hell did you get your "research"? Had to be TIM who got all pissy when I didn't kiss his ass because my record shows great success everywhere. Moron. For that alone I'm glad I'm putting this mongrel down. There were these things called adjutants. I don't know what they're supposed to be but they're powerful. I found out they were civilians turned into monsters by Cerberus. And Petrovsky has the nerve to say Omega would be better off in the hands of Cerberus?
I have to say one thing about Aria. I might not like her personally but I think she's the most powerful biotic I've ever met. She turned out to be a better person than I expected. She spared Petrovsky's life. I wasn't so generous, not after what I saw. I blew his head off. Good riddance. When I first met her the thing she said was "I am Omega". She said that over speakers so everyone could hear. As I was leaving she said "We are Omega". Something changed in her. Anyone, got a lot of resources from her so it was all worth it.

ME 2Did Horizon. Video games are funny. Kind of got wrecked a few times on the pre Praetorian boss fight but then I was able to get through the boss fight without any issue what so ever. Just the one time. But man can your health just melt at times. Also sometimes you chose an option because you think it would be what your character would say but then realize that they have never said it. Which brings me to the relative poorness, or indecision, of having to deal with what's his face and his reaction to the Alliance. Telling him the Alliance sucked or the Alliance does not suck never really seems like something Abby would say...which I guess says more about her complicated nature.

Yeah they did a grea tjob wit hthe graphical upgrades about to use the Mako fo rthe first time myself thouh gin my case to get along the Skyway on Feros. A tleast we can track the thresher maws now which means they shouldn't catch us by surprise as often. Will likely pick Liara up once I'm finished on Feros. But yeah ME1 received the biggest overhaul in terms of everything. ME2 and 3 just recieved a few graphical touch ups though tbh that's all they needed really. The touch ups are still noticable though as they definitely for the most part make the experience better. It's also nice to have all the DLC packaged in so we don't have to worry about any authentication stuff all we have to do is play th equests if and when we want to. All we have to do is just boot up asnd play. Same wit himpoting Sheps as well as telling ME2 where t ofind the Shep I'm playing every time I play a new Shep got annoying after a while ME2 like ME3 just picks them up now which makes transitioning from one game to the next much easier.

Miranda asked for access to Alliance files. She's one of those who has earned by full trust so I gave it to her. I have a feeling that whatever she's on to is going to exceed just rescuing Oriana. If TIM and her father are connected then I'd call it very serious.
Talked to Tevos. Surprise, Thessia's under fire and they need help! We were only trying to build a super weapon to stop this very thing but I got the brush off. Now she reveals an ancient Prothean artifact that has been hidden for centuries, possibly even before the Council was created. If any other race hid anything like that they would be sanctions and they'd probably be booted from the Citadel. But not the asari. Whatever. I can go off on her after the war. She says this artifact could tip the balance of power in the galaxy. If it's that important it might be just what we need to complete the Crucible.
Then I went to see Dr. Bryson. He'd been studying something called the Leviathan, which seemed to be a Reaper killer. His assistant was apparently indoctrinated because he shot and killed Bryson. Then he said something weird before collapsing into a coma from which he never woke up. Whatever the Leviathan is it does not wanting anyone to find it. So we're gonna look for it.
Went looking for some scientist involved with this. It was an asteroid for T-GES Mineral Works. If the guy who shot Bryson was indoctrinated this was entirely different level. They were like zombies and they forgot about you as soon as you stopped talking to them. I've seen a lot of shit over the years and this is creepy AF. Creepier than the asari monastery when the lights were out and there were bodies everywhere. Then I got creepier. Found the scientist, except I wasn't talking to the scientist. It was the Leviathan. "Turn back. The darkness cannot be breached." Exactly what Bryson's killer said.
He took off and we had to track him. There were husks and the other husk-like things in our way. When we finally caught up he was laying against a spherical, glowing artifact like one we'd seen in Bryson's office. Husks were surrounding him. He set up a detonator to blow up the artifact. And then things got stranger. We found the scientist's actual body and it had been dead for a while, meaning the Leviathan could really do some crazy stuff. AND THEN all the miners showed up acting dazed and confused. They didn't know who I was, didn't know anything about Reapers and had no idea what was going on. They described how they were feeling as "dark" and didn't even know what that meant. What they did know was that the year was 2176. Leviathan had been controlling them for a decade. The useful thing is that our dead scientists learned of a way to block the artifact's ability to control others. And we learned of a Dr. Ann Bryson. I've looked Reapers in the eye - Sovereign and the one on Rannoch - and didn't flinch. This thing scares me. But I'm going to make it work for us anyway.
Found a message by Ann to her father. She found another artifact and Reaper forces were closing in. This is consistent with the mine. The Reapers were after the artifact and withdrew when it was gone. They fear these artifacts which is another reason why Leviathan will join us against the Reapers. I don't give a shit if they like or not.
Ann Bryson wanted to help by exposing herself to the artifact. She'd already been around it long enough for it to work. The Leviathan came through. It said I was a threat. I told it I was coming for it. And I am.

Helped Samara track down her daughter. Beat up a handsy Turian, intimidated a krogan and beat up two would be muggers. This got morinths attention. I really like the persuade dialogue with morinth. Rather than just picking the vaenia and hallex dialogue options you can pick something else like " I have a history with drugs" which leads to some cool charm or intimidate dialogue. Shepard says " I experimented when I was younger, but I've outgrown that" ( which I imagine earthborn Shepard would've) and morinth says " what else have you outgrown I wonder" to which Shepard replies " the question is, what new interests have I developed?" Some really cool dialogue branches. Another good one is asking morinth who has the power here and if you have enough paragon points Shepard flatout tells her he has the power. To which morinth laughs. I of course killed morinth and helped Samara full her mission.

I've never followed the other branches of conversation that you mentioned. Not too far off from wrapping up ME3 so I'll keep that in mind for the next run.

ME 1 MELE
More exploration before heading to Feros. Beat the snot out of that Haliat dude (who's now a turian?!) and despite no training in bomb defusion, was able to disable the nuke before it exploded. Even though I knew it was coming, the explosion of the entrance collapsing still startled me.
I skipped Eletania for now since I don't have the gizmo from the consort yet. Hackett probably won't be pleased....luckily the space monkeys will prevent the geth from getting the transponder before Shepard gets back there.
Found some new armor for Wrex....he's so pretty in pink!
Skyway view on Feros. I fixed all the colony problems and left off at the room where the Exogeni folks are hanging out.
After Feros is done, I'll head back to the Citadel by way of Earth to take out the rogue VI and get my specialization upgrade. I might be able to afford some Spectre weapons by then.

Despoina. Pretty sure I found the thing that hates both the Reapers and me. Now it's a matter of which it hates more. No matter what I'm dragging this thing into the light and it can decide for itself whether or not it wants to fight the Reapers. Turns out it lives at the bottom of the ocean or something. Cortez said the shuttle could make the trip but then a pulse knocked out the shuttle's power. Can't be a coincidence. So we found husks, etc and then I took a Triton armor and took a trip to the bottom of the ocean. Kaidan wasn't happy about it. Javik said even he wouldn't do that. And that's why his people are dead and my are going to destroy the Reapers. I've looked death in the face countless times. This wasn't going to be any different.
Got to the bottom of the ocean. Found Leviathan. It was monolithic. Looked a hell of a lot like a Reaper but was clearly organic. Basically, they had an empire a billion years ago, their thrall races created AI that was killing them and they didn't like it. "No tribute" was their reason. How to solve this? Create an AI. Fucking dumbasses. It turned on them and it created the first Reaper, my old pal Harbinger. The same Harbinger who controlled the Collectors. The same Harbinger who tried to come through the Alpha Relay. It lost both times. I exposed the damn thing, or things as it turned out. There would be no more hiding from the Reapers and they now had to get involved. Got my way like I expected. Oh, and they said the Reapers considered me a threat. And they should because I'm gonna kill them.
Thessia. I don't hate the asari but boy do I wish someone had kicked the asses of their leaders. Aethyta should have been one of them. They could have cracked the mass relays centuries ago and maybe we'd have found a way to make them ours. Maybe we would have known the Citadel was a relay and closed it. And maybe this artifact would have revealed the Reapers long before humanity took flight. But here we are and I have to pull their ass out of the fire since Reaper forces are there en masse. It shouldn't be a surprise that the major concentrations of Reapers were Earth, Palaven and now Thessia. Those are the big ones. The asari being so powerful, the turians having the most powerful fleet and humans who took down Sovereign. But now we're working together and we will end the Reapers.
It's rough on Thessia. Really rough. The soldiers there were barely holding on. Javik was able to persuade them to hang on longer and it cost them their lives. That's a real warrior, willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission. That is, to sacrifice one's self. Not Javik's way, not without compassion. We win by caring and building alliances not by walking over corpses.
We got to the Temple of Athame. Looked asari-ish but Javik said it was a Prothean. In fact, it hid a Prothean beacon. In fact, that Prothean beacon was a fully-functioning VI like Vigil on Ilos and, as I now know, Victory from Javik's era. There was a wealth of knowledge. It could also detect indoctrination and we encountered it when Cerberus showed up and stole the damn VI. Fucking asari who couldn't be bothered to get involved sooner.
Traynor and EDI tracked Kai Leng to Horizon, to a place called Sanctuary. It was supposed to be a safe haven, though how they could make that claim is anyone's guess. But if he went here then Cerberus is involved. Cerberus who lured people here. I can't even imagine what they would do to these people just trying to survive.
There was a message coming from Horizon. A warning from Oriana Lawson. We know her father took her and we know he's working with TIM. Hopefully it means Miranda is around. And we finally saw the Reapers and Cerberus fighting each other. Then we found warning messages from Miranda warning people to stay away, that the promised safety was a lie. And I read messages about people being processed. And then I saw video. They were turning people into husks. I shouldn't be surprised. They did this on the "Colony of the Dead" mission back when I was hunting down Saren. One message said the ones who didn't become husks were either indoctrinated and sent to TIM or experimented on. I take it back about every other creepy thing I've encountered. This is the worst and it's in the light of day.
Helped save Oriana and Miranda and put Henry Lawson in a coffin. Miranda put a tracer on Kai Leng so we have a destination. Miranda is getting Oriana to safety. I really wish she had come with us.
OK, I finally understand CEM. I really want to skip Citadel DLC but the final sendoff is the best.
