- Headed to Illium, got a message from the rachni queen and surprised Liara, who shared an awkward kiss with Shepard and exchanged a few pleasantries before getting on with business. He would definitely have to talk to her soon about... them. Everything had changed, but it was not the right time yet. - First Shepard helped Miranda with her sister, where she unfortunately lost a good friend at the end. He had betrayed her, but did see reason before an asari killed him off. She paid for that and Miranda's sister was safe. Shepard respected her wish to stay out of Oriana's life. - Bumped into Conrad while helping Liara with some personal stuff before also bringing together an asari with a krogan again and spending a fortune on upgrades, fish and ship models. Upon returning to Liara, learned more about her chasing the Shadow Broker and Shepard wanted to help his friend, so they made plans to meet up at Liara's apartment later. - Delivered a locket to an asari on the way back to the Normandy, where Shepard prepared for Liara's plan, talked to his crew mates and shared an innocent moment with Miranda, though she made it clear the mission was more important than anything. - Headed to Illium's cab area and first helped Shiala before initiating the hunt for the Shadow Broker. It was a long chase with lots of dead mercs, and a dead Spectre, but Liara was able to rescue her friend and found a new place for herself. As the new Broker. Shepard left her alone so she could collect herself and deal with her emotions first before talking about whatever was left between them. - Took care of some more business on Illium, finally recruiting both a seemingly kind assassin and a badass justicar for his team (and leaving a trail of dead mercs again!). Shepard was excited to learn about them, their history and customs aboard the Normandy. He felt incredibly lucky to meet and work with so many unique people. One of which he grew a lot closer now. During another talk with Miranda, Shepard went on the offensive, which she obviously liked, yet was still hesitant. She had a great deal to think about, but Shepard was positive they were meant to get together sooner or later. - Before heading to the Citadel to help Garrus and Thane, Shepard visited Liara to come clean before things with Miranda got more serious. They remained friends and promised to have a drink the next time they met. Miranda tore her lingering gaze away from her sister and headed off, trying to hold back the tears forming in her eyes. Rorik and Jack exchanged a look, both seemingly unsure what to do. They followed the black-haired woman, usually of proud composure, now a picture of misery. Rorik looked at Jack once more as they joined their teammate in the elevator, but she only shrugged. Rorik fought the urge to comfort Miranda, to just pull her into his arms and tell her everything will be alright. He usually wasn't at a loss for words, or deeds for that matter, but it was different this time. Miranda was not exactly an easy person to read, and whatever he decided to do could end up being the wrong move in this moment. He breathed in and did nothing. Nothing except giving her the time - and space - she may need. And if the time came for her to be ready to talk about it, he would gladly sit down and listen.Pics: I died like a gazillion times during Miri's LM and a few times during Thane's RM. This time I didn't have issues with ammo not dropping during Thane's RM, must have been all that reloading LotSB and Samara's RM went super smooth though, no deaths at all during Samara's mission and I didn't even have problems with the parking lot in LotSB Surprising! Romance progresses nicely too, and so far I really like it! It's so funny to think back to when I played ME for the first time and I HATED Miranda with a passion. Good thing I came around and I like her quite a lot now This time I want to delay Parasini's dialogue to see if it differs when the Suicide Mission is over, but I don't think it will (in case anyone knows already, let me know ).

I had a fun, productive day in ME2.
We started on Bekenstein, helping Kasumi recover Keiji Okuda's graybox from Donovan Hock. Shep actually got dropped a few times during the final battle.
Maybe I'm rusty. Thinking about it, though, I think the battle against Hock's gunship and the Eclipse troops is the best boss fight in the trilogy. Granted, it takes place at low levels (for me, at least), but it really is the only one that remotely pushes me to keep moving and stay alive. Playing a low-level Engineer, with a low-level Kasumi as Shep's only companion, a couple of deaths aren't really all that surprising.
From there, it was onward to Zaeed's mission on Zorya. We saved the workers and the refinery, and Vido Santiago escaped. Zaeed was pissed, but put it behind him pretty quickly.
We recovered the Cerberus Hammerhead. Following in the footsteps of Dr. Manuel Case, whom we originally met on Eden Prime, we outmaneuvered the Geth to recover a Prothean artifact. Manuel is gone, doing the best he could to oppose the Reapers. He knew what was coming even before Shepard did.
Then, we headed to the Hourglass Nebula, where we discovered the wreckage of Estavánico. After, we went to the Purgatory super-max prison in space, run by the Blue Suns. Warden Kuril and his goons tried to betray us, so we killed our way free. Subject Zero, Jack, another target from the Illusive Man's dossiers, joined the crew. I saved just before talking to her in her lower deck hideout.
We've been planet-scanning (ugh 🙄) all along the way. We now have 100k+ eezo and 400k+ iridium, platinum, and palladium. Henceforth, we probably won't need to scan for anything other than eezo.
I can't wait until my cooldowns are shorter and Shep is fully evolved. I'm really looking forward to ME3's nearly instant cooldown recharge on the Engineer's go-to powers.

Alex the Asshole Adept (ME3LE): 1. Met with ambassadors at the war summit. Bunch of whiny babies. Grabbed Mordin and a Krogan female from an STG facility.
2. Took control of giant cannon on Tuchanka, then used it to blow up a Cerberus cruiser.
3. Took out a Rachni nest and a Reaper-made Rachni Queen.
4. Rescued some civilians being attacked by Cerberus.
5. Made a deal with the Dalatrass and sabotaged the cure. Convinced Mordin to join the Crucible team.
6. Stopped a Cerberus coup. Killed Ashley (whoops, missed those Renegade prompts and Intimidate option), then killed Udina. Completed some Citadel chores.
7. Blew up some Asari monastery, no survivors. Rescued some scientists from Cerberus.
8. Scanned more of the galaxy. Captured a fighter base from Cerberus. Spent time on the Citadel with squadmates and delivering packages.

The mod, Project Variety, offers a lot of outfits to many characters in ME3. At the beginning of the game, in mod settings, I can choose an outfit for a character to wear after each main mission. It takes a bit of time choosing different outfits for the characters on the SR2. Of course the player can choose one outfit for the character to wear for the whole game. Some character's can have a different hairstyle. Bailey has a son and daughter and ex-wife. Not sure if that picture is his ex or daughter though if that is his daughter, I would expect he would have a picture of his son as well. Shepard: I only believe it's the only plan we currently have. I would also like to have some backup plan in case this doesn't work or is not exactly what we believe it to be. Councilor: I agree with that. I agree with the other councilor's that until there's more information, and our own planets have some defence's in place, we have to hold off before sending everything for Earth. Shepard: That's fair. I will be communicating with Admiral Hackett who will likely keep you updated as to the progress of these plans. Shepard: Why are you telling me something I already know? T'soni: I'm sorry. I'm tryiig to help. Shepard: If you want to help, spend time studying these plans. You are the so-called prothean expert? T'soni: And you have the cipher. Shepard: Hmmm..Show me the plans........I see....If you connect the blue wire to the purple wire, the device should work. T'soni: That's not funny Shepard

Alex the Asshole Adept (ME3LE): 1. Rescued a Turian Platoon, then helped them disarm a giant bomb.
2. Survived an ambush attempt. Killed my clone.
3. Met up with some of the crew on the Silver Sun Strip. Played some matches in the simulator.
I quit playing after getting annoyed as an Adept in the simulator. Everyone dodging or throwing smoke. And I always hate it when enemies spawn at the same point (when I am getting the bonus), meaning I cannot position my squadmates correctly. I'll try it again tomorrow when I am less irritated.

- Helped Thane to prevent his son from assassinating a turian (gaining a Shepard VI from Mouse along the way). Shot a lamp to distract Kolyat, saving his target in the process. Bailey kindly gave Thane and his son some time to talk. - Tracked down Harkin with Garrus and Miranda and tried to talk some sense into Garrus, but he still wanted to get his revenge. When meeting Sidonis, Shepard talked long enough with him for Garrus to see that the man he wanted dead was dead inside already, so he let him go. Went for a drink and gave away some forged IDs to two asari afterwards. - Attended a fancy party hosted by a giant asshole, so Shepard enjoyed destroying one of his art pieces and taking him down later on. Fuck your stupid gunship, what good did it do ya? Kasumi had some trouble letting go of her partner's graybox, so Shepard offered to destroy it for her. - Helped Zaeed liberate a refinery from the Blue Suns and his former partner Vido. Zaeed wanted to sacrifice all the workers there to kill Vido, but Shepard taught him a lesson in teamwork instead, Zaeed acknowledging he can put his revenge behind him long enough. - Samara needed Shepard's help with taking down her own daughter, so they set course to Omega (after buying some more upgrades, tehe). In the meantime, Shepard talked to the rest of the crew and came by Miranda's office, sharing a vulnerable moment with her. Shepard wanted nothing more than to promise her they'd both live through this, but how could he. It wouldn't be fair. Everyone knew what was at stake. They had to be realistic, and yet he would still cling on to his hope that everything would be fine. - On Omega, convinced Ish to let go of whatever trouble he had gotten himself into and then helped Samara take down her daughter by impressing her in the club and springing the trap at her apartment. Finally headed off to recruit Tali, but stopped on the way to kill off some batarians trying to destroy a colony, and saved all the people there. Garrus headed off to position himself and Miranda watched Rorik, who seemed deep in thought as he lifted the skycar off the ground and approached the parking area. "What's your plan?" He turned his head to the source of the voice behind him as he set down the shuttle. "I don't know. But I have to do something. He's not himself. This whole thing, it's... eating him up." Rorik and Miranda got out of the car when Garrus called in over the radio. "Shepard? Can you hear me?" "Loud and clear," the commander confirmed as he walked over to Sidonis. The black-haired woman sighed as she followed Rorik, knowing that next time he would visit her in her cabin she'd finally falter. Watching him trying to save that turian's life, a stranger's life, even if it ultimately was to help his friend from committing a terrible mistake... he really had that fire inside him. That spark. He was unlike any man she ever met. Miranda had fallen for him and she couldn't stand it, but she had to admit to herself that she truly wanted this. Damn these stupid feelings.Pics: I have now squad AP ammo and my build is final, yaaaay! All went more or less fine with only few deaths, I even kept at least Miranda alive in the section with the two YMIR in Garrus' LM Can't believe I'm picking up Tali so late, but things started to pile up and so on and so on Poor Tali won't have much screen time in this run

Shepard: 6,000 credits? Really?....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Samantha:That's not funny Commander. Shepard: Sorry....hahahahahaha...I just can't believe someone would pay so much for a toothbrush. Samantha: Well, it was with my own money. I do have the whitest teeth Shepard: Yes in both cases. Maybe I should get the same toothbrush as your's. But it's hard to spend that much. I'll tell you what. I didn't mean to laugh the way I did. To make it up to you, I'll look around on the Citadel for one. Might even get one for myself. Samantha: Are you sure? I would be in your debt. Shepard: I'm sure. I'll use Alliance resources. It will serve them right for what they've done to me. Samantha: If you say so Commander Shepard: So you brought the network here. On my ship. Without asking. T'soni: I thought you wou--- Shepard: There you go again. Thinking. I brought a reporter onboard the ship. I told her to bring only 1 footlocker. You brought all this crap. T'soni: I did it to help with translating these plan's. Shepard: Then maybe I should send you to Hackett since he is where the device is being built. T'soni: But I could he...assist you on missions. Shepard: Until those plans are fully translated, you are better off not coming with me on any mission. Shepard: That's not what I meant or said. If it worked, the reapers might not be here T'soni: Well, if they did build it, it could have misfired or not even worked at all Shepard: Or it's not what we believe it to be. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. WELCOME TO THE MAIN EVENT. This event will be a 12 round bout for the heavyweight belt of the galaxy. In this corner, we have the 3 time champion VIVA LAS VEGA. And his opponent, in the far corner, a relative newcomer to boxing, we have the SULTRY SEXY SHHHHHHEPARD. FIGHT Both exchange blows. Vega is trying to get the advantage, but Shepard keep's moving around. WOW. DID YOU SEE THAT? How did Shepard avoid Vega's powerful roundhouse? That punch has given Vega many knockout's. Now Shepard is on the offensive. She's wearing down Vega with jab's to the body. WHAT? This is unbelievable. Shepard avoid's Vega's uppercut. Vega is showing signs of fatigue. DOWN GOES VEGA!!!!! DOWN GOES VEGA!!!!!DOWN GOES VEGA!!!! Shepard wins by knockout. This is amazing. Vega get's up saying something at Shepard as he head's back to his corner. Well fan's. You saw it first here on the Cerberus sports channel. Stay tuned for post fight comments from both fighter's. We now take a commercial break.

themikefest, all the outfit variations are fun, but Allers' transformation is incredible. It's amazing how much her character improves just by putting on a professional outfit. It's hard to recall all the stuff we did today. Tons of side missions were encountered and finished. Jacob found his father and handed him to the Alliance for charges and trial. Jack got to blow up the ruins of the Telton Facility where she was raised. Miranda rescued her sister from her douchebag father. We're on Illium, now. We'll talk to Liara and recruit Thane and Samara next time I play. Engineer is going well, but it's been a very buggy playthrough. I rarely, if ever, encounter bugs in Mass Effect. I think I've experienced more in this single, half-finished run through ME2 than I ever have in the entirety of the last 17 years of Mass Effect. I hope it's just a fluke. This is the first time I've played the game on PS5. I hope that's not a factor.

2. Went to Sanctuary and uncovered a secret Cerberus facility. Miranda threw her dad out a window, then died.
3. Rescued someone at a communications hub.
4. Threw a party.
5. Destroyed Cerberus HQ.
6. Went to Earth. Destroyed a giant cannon (and killed Morinth). Killed a Reaper Destroyer. Took a beam to the Citadel. Shot the Illusive Man. Talked to a stupid AI. Destroyed the Reapers.

I have quite a few bugs in the Legendary Edition since playing it on the PS4, and now on PS5 it's the same. They introduced some really horrible bugs that never were present in the original trilogy, which sucks. They improved a lot, but ME2 suffers a lot from those bugs in the gameplay (like the missing enemy UI or that no ammo drops in certain missions, just ugh). I still enjoy playing it, but it's very annoying too.
Progressed some more since yesterday:
- Rescued Tali from a shitload of geth and saved Kal'Reegar in the process too by telling him he had done enough for her already. Welcomed Tali on board and Shepard was glad another friend had returned to his side. - Helped Jack blow up the Cerberus facility she grew up in. It was a good thing to wipe that thing off the map. Jack spared a man there who had also returned for his past, another victim of Cerberus. Shepard was really proud of her. But just as he thought everything would be resolved, Jack maybe even finding peace, a fight ensued in Miranda's cabin, to which Shepard put an end. He couldn't believe they were still at each other's throats after all this time. - Tali had been accused of treason, so they went to the Migrant Fleet to sort things out. Shepard yelled a bit at the quarians, purged a research ship of geth, found the body of Tali's father in the process and learned about his research. Tali begged Shepard not to present the evidence, so he didn't, and cleared his friend of the charges afterwards by rallying the crowd where Veetor and Kal spoke on behalf of Tali. - Dealt with some scum at a Blood Pack base and shut down a communications relay of theirs on a toxic planet, and put some new holes into some geth, stopping their weather shenanigans on Canalus. - Boarded a derelict Reaper and fought through a gazillion husks, but picked up the Reaper IFF eventually before blowing up the mass effect core in an enormous pretty explosion. They brought an unconscious, but intact geth on board, Shepard being very curious about this thing. It had helped them, and it wore a piece of N7 armor. He was certainly intrigued, so he activated it, had a chat with Legion and also with some others of the crew. Jack's childhood room had an unsettling atmosphere. The whole facility was like that, but hearing Jack talk about how she lived there as a little girl made Rorik sick to the stomach. It was revolting. He caught a glimpse of Miranda standing near the door as he and Jack headed off to the hallway. Her head slightly tilted towards the floor, her eyes averted. Rorik had no doubt she was also affected by what she had seen here, no matter how hard she tried to uphold her mask. He squeezed Miranda's hand as he passed, a sad smile on her lips as her eyes found his. Rorik had hopes that she might finally see Cerberus for who they were, what they did, and also hoped that Jack could find something better in her life, now that she could stop living in the past. Jack had reached her final halt, an old blood stain on the wall, then she was ready to blow everything to hell. Rorik could not wait to get out of this terrible place.Pics: It's been some time since I rallied the crowd in Tali's LM, that was a lot of fun again And now I approach the end-game already, though I still also have the two big DLCs and some more side missions for the post-game.

So I've started (technically restarted since I started it last year then abandoned it xD) a new playthrough of the trilogy Here's my new girl Kassandra together with her bae Kaidan (I love him so much)
Kassandra was named after the prophetess from Greek mythology, who was cursed by Apollo to never have anyone believe her prophecies (and seeing as no one ever believes Shepard about their warnings regarding the Reapers, I felt it was fitting) She's a Colonist Sole Survivor because I like drama and her class is Sentinel
Last year I ran into a mod that replaces Cryoblast with the Combat Drone in both 2 and 3, so I kinda want to try that out
I'm also trying out a bunch of other mods, among them Children of Rannoch, which gives some new appearances to the Quarian people (currently only for 1 and 2, but the mod author is working on 3 as well) making them look a bit like the Na'vi from Avatar...I think they look cool, but I know the style probably won't be to everyone's taste Oh and I decided to install Primitives...which gives some pretty new skin textures...I really love the freckles on Kassandra

I played quite a bit these last two days, despite being fairly busy by my standards.
It's probably easier to say what remains, rather than what lies ahead. I just recruited Tali, going earlier than usual because I wanted my squaddies to have the Tempest SMG. That's now everyone but Legion recruited.
The only loyalty missions remaining are Grunt, Mordin, Tali, and Legion. I intend to go to Tuchanka, tomorrow. Those boys have waited long enough, and we'll get to visit Wrex. LotSB is behind us, so we'll be racing toward the finale in no time.
I've long since reached Level 30. I fully evolved Squad Warp Ammo, since I didn't really need anything else on my Emgineer. I don't always use it, but it's useful as a default and against Collectors.
Engineer has been fine. The Combat Drone is nearly always useful for crowd control, often against multiple enemies. I don't think Engineer is a class I'll play often in ME2, but at least I've finally done it after untold thousands of hours played. I'm looking forward to ME3, where I'll get to sling powers with ridiculously fast cooldowns. Combo detonations are where I derive the most satisfaction.
I'm not sure whether I'll try to play Andromeda after this. It's been years since I've tried. I might just play more MELE, or do something else.

- Headed to the Phoenix Massing nebula, first checking out another Cerberus project gone horribly wrong, again saving the galaxy from a catastrophic event. Shepard couldn't believe his eyes what the man in charge did to his own brother and sent the poor sod to Grissom Academy. - Shepard, Legion and Miranda boarded the Heretics Station in the nearby star system and blew it up. Better safe than sorry. Broke up another fight on the Normandy afterwards. - The crew got abducted while Shepard and his team were away during the IFF installation, so after inviting Liara for a final meet-up it was time to take the fight to the Collectors, at least after Miranda seduced Shepard Legion was sent through the shaft, Garrus led the second team, and they found the crew alive shortly after. Shepard was a little fed up with Jack's constant bickering, so she was sent along to keep the crew safe. Miranda took Shepard, Tali and Kasumi through the Seeker swarms, but oh no, Tali was snagged by those mean little buggers! The rest went smoothly for the team with Shepard taking down a baby Reaper with Miranda and Thane (for some nice anti-armor action ) and blowing up the Collector base. - Infiltrated a batarian prison to break out Dr. Kenson, which didn't really make a difference since Shepard had to shoot her later on. Slammed an asteroid into the alpha relay and killed lots of batarians in the process. - Dealt with some other things until Earth called; saved a crashing ship from geth, stopped the production of faulty mechs, saved lots of crates, shot some more Eclipse mercs at a mining facility, then returned to Illium where Shepard helped Parasini once more and freed a quarian slave from its contract before having some well-deserved drinks at the bar there with his team. Rorik almost rushed into Miranda's office. Her face lit up as she saw him and she jumped from her seat, the lovers pulling each other in for a tight embrace. They had made it, they were alive. Others weren't so lucky. Tali wasn't. Miranda buried her face in Rorik's shoulder. "I'm sorry...", she said, her voice on the verge of breaking. Rorik held her in his arms, hand buried in her soft black hair, and gently kissed her on the head. "I know, Miranda. I know. It's not your fault." "But I couldn't--" "Hey now", the blond man said softly, cupping his partner's face and looking intently in her blue eyes. "It's not your fault, okay?" Miranda exhaled and nodded, leaning in for a gentle kiss.Pics: For once, the part with the Scion and his husk buddies worked out alright, didn't think it would, but two drones made it bearable even with another nice enemy UI bug (it's even worse when it happens here because there's not enough space to just run away and hope for the UI to come back ). Also was in the mood to try and survive Object Rho (I usually let them take me down asap because that fight is a chore to me on Insanity ), and I somehow did Granted, the mech at the end didn't show up, stupid buggy game, but pffft So I postponed the talk with Gianna on Illium, but sadly the dialogue doesn't change and Shep can still answer he takes on the Collectors Oh well, was worth a try. (Also, there was no reaction from Miranda for the cheek kiss ) Bonus idiotic writing: "Wait, you don't wanna leave me here alone with her?" Miranda sat on the couch in the corner, crossing her arms, looking at the tattooed biotic sitting a good distance away from her. Who in return rolled her eyes dramatically. "Pfft. Suck it up, Cerberus Cheerleader. What do you think I'll do? Bite?" "Who knows what you'll do", the black-haired woman muttered to herself and Rorik gestured to the bar. "You'll be fine for 3 minutes I hope, I'll get us some drinks. I think we deserve that." Miranda sighed and crossed her legs, shifting her gaze over to Nos Astra's towering buildings. Rorik returned with a glass of wine for Miranda, a shot of liquor for himself and a mystery drink for Jack. The brash woman downed her drink in one go, making Miranda look at her in repulsion and Rorik chuckle. "You might've wanted to slow down on that one", he said amused, "the bartender said this one's a bit special." Jack shrugged, obviously not impressed. "What is this shit anyway? Don't feel a thing..." she said, examining her empty bottle. Rorik drew up his eyebrows in disbelief, shook his head and started smiling. "Thanks, you two. Not just for this, but for everything. Despite your differences, you make a great team. Even if you don't want to admit it." Miranda scoffed with a hint of a smile on her lips and Jack waved her hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, whatever, Shepard", she said in her usual charming way, "thanks for the drink, but I'm outta here." "I hate her", Miranda softly said as she and Rorik watched her leave, making the blond man sigh in resignation. "Fine. But you love me...", Rorik purred and nestled up to Miranda, who started smirking. "Love? Who said anything about that?" She couldn't resist laughing for long and Rorik enjoyed seeing her like this, carefree for once as he caressed her cheek and gently kissed her.

Kassandra was named after the prophetess from Greek mythology, who was cursed by Apollo to never have anyone believe her prophecies (and seeing as no one ever believes Shepard about their warnings regarding the Reapers, I felt it was fitting) She's a Colonist Sole Survivor because I like drama and her class is Sentinel That is a fitting name for your Shepard. Thanks ^^

Shepard: Are you sure it wasn't because they were closer than this reaper making them look bigger? Vega: Well...I guess you're right. My bad. Shepard: If you don't know, why make you an advisor? Garrus: Ha. I'll tell you later. I have to ask Shepard. What is the outfit you're wearing? It has bladed weapon's stuck in your body. Shepard: On October 31st, humans have a day called Halloween for people to dress up wearing costume's. I chose to wear this because I wanted to plus if I'm going to die fighting the reaper's, I want to look good. Garrus: If you say so Shepard. I'm going to guess you have a lot of costume's you will be wearing while we fight the reapers. Shepard: Yep Shepard: So you're going to sit back and watch me and the other species deal with the reaper's? Councilor: That's not what I'm sayi-- Shepard: That's exactly what you're saying by not showing up. Here's something for you to ponder. If the reapers end up being defeated, what do you think the other species will say when they learn the asari made no effort to help? Councilor: Goodbye Commander. Shepard: No. I want you, the body/it/whatever, to stay on the ship to help find a way to stop the reaper's. edi: As you wish Shepard.

So...I forgot to install a mod for ME1, and now I'm contemplating on restarting since I don't know if it'll mess things up on my current playthrough (probably best to be safe then sorry) I haven't done much yet anyway...and I wanted to try a different playthrough in terms of planet orders as well, so...win-win?
I usually always grab Liara first after getting the Normandy properly...but I kinda want to do her later...as in after a planet +Bring down the sky since I always do that after I've done my first planet to grab some more paragon points so I can safely pass the snap inspection quest
I do have a mod that should make the paragon/renegade option on Feros easier, so I'll be doing that one this time around first

Shepard: Who would you bake the cake for? Joker: Come on Commander. It would be for everyone. Shepard: Here's something for you to bake. How about paying attention to flying the Normandy to get us where we need to go leaving the baking to a real baker. Joker. Man. You're such a party-pooper

I had another big day in ME2. There's a decent chance that I finish the game tomorrow. If not, maybe the next day.
I started on Tuchanka, today, handling Grunt's concerns and finding Mordin's colleague. Personally, I think the genophage was a brilliant and measured response to an extinction level event. I also believe that curing it would be insane. I always do so, though, when Wrex is in play. I don't want to kill him nor to lose Krogan support in ME3.
Next, we handled Tali's trial. She was exonerated with no evidence in her favor, just Shepard yelling and guilting the Admirals.
Then, we went to the derelict Reaper to retrieve an IFF. I love this mission. The fights play differently depending upon Shepard's class. I took Thane and Samara. I love using them with a Vanguard with Squad Cryo Ammo and Area Reave. My Engineer could only offer Squad Warp Ammo. Cryo is great, since frozen Husks are dead Husks. Alas.
Thane has Heavy Warp and Throw Field. Samara has Area Reave and Throw Field. Shepard has Heavy Incinerate. Area Incinerate would've been more advantageous. Without a big AoE armor-stripper from Shep, it was tricky peeling the armor quickly enough from the swarming Husks. It worked out fine, but I definitely had to run around and retreat more often than with any other class I've played.
Tomorrow, assuming I have time, we're going to Heretic Station with Legion. After, we'll launch our Suicide Mission. It's my favorite single mission in any game. If I'm very ambitious, I might get to The Arrival.
Going back to Husks, it always strikes me how different they are in each game. In ME1, they're pretty durable, but can be tossed around with biotics and fried with Tech powers. You do not want to be caught in their AoE electrical attack. It's one of the few ways a well built, well equipped Shepard can get killed in a hurry. (I'm assuming Insanity difficulty.)
In ME2, they no longer have an AoE. They just flail their arms and try to pummel you to death. They're armored, like everything in ME2 Insanity, which can make swarms of them a persistent nuisance. If the swarm manages to surround a Shepard without Biotic Charge or Assault Armor, they can beat him to death.
In ME3, they're so week as to be almost useless. They're essentially cannon fodder there to make Shepard feel powerful.

I completed ME2, today, and began ME3. As I was finishing Mars, I realized that I've had enough Engineer for now. I deleted and restarted as an Infiltrator. I had barely begun before my pup son brought a toy and gave me puppy eyes. I saved on Mars, just outside of the facility. I should be able to play more tomorrow.
It's a shame the Engineer's drones aren't more compelling. The Assault Turret in MEA is great, in my opinion. The drones of ME2&3 just can't compete with the other Class exclusives -- Tech Armor, Tactical Cloak, Adrenaline Rush, and Biotic Charge. They're probably on par with Singularity. That's my entirely subjective opinion, at least. I'll come back around to the ME3 Engineer, soon. I'm just a bit fatigued from ME2, right now.

- Fled Earth after the Reapers finally showed up, headed to Mars to apparently hold hands with Liara Ended up with some plans for a superweapon and a used tin can for EDI. Two for the price of one (it cost only one Kaidan!). Priority: Hamster and Ship Models took place next. - Headed to Menae to pick up two awesome turians. One friend, one freshly baked primarch. Finally went for a chat with the blue ex-girlfriend, who tried to get back with Shepard... (maybe she forgot we wanted to just stay friends ) Nope, just nope. - Returned to Eden Prime after a long time to steal a prothean artifact from Cerberus, only that it was a real Prothean and now Shepard has one more mouth to feed. EDI could test her new platform. It works! Raided a Cerberus lab afterwards and secured some Reaper tech for Hackett. - It was Citadel time and Shepard caught up with Miranda, telling her he absolutely wants to be with her. He does miss her a lot, but they both got their own things going on, so sadly they had to part ways. Headed to the hospital and bumped into Thane. Visited Kaidan a second time and laid the groundwork to be friends again. Took care of some more stuff: helped a salarian Spectre and met Kasumi along the way, bumped into Kelly, paid a visit to Aria, had a drink with James and fellow soldiers, and watched spaceships with Steve. - Had a meeting aboard the Normandy, yelled at the dalatrass, then touched down on Sur'Kesh with Wrex, Garrus and James. Bumped into Kirrahe and Mordin! Extracted a fertile female, killing loads of Cerberus goons along the way. "Wrex is a badass. I bet he's got some real interesting stories to tell", James said and stopped tinkering with the weapon parts in front of him, turning around to the blond man. "Hell yes. You should ask him about an asari named Aleena someday." James raised an eyebrow, the commander's answer obviously piquing his interest. He tilted his head and nodded. "Huh, I might do that. Sounds fun." "Yeah, it is quite the story", Rorik chuckled as he got ready to leave. "Well, gotta go. I'm heading up to go check on Mordin and the female. Talk to you later?" "Yup. See you, Loco."Pics: Ugh, spent a long time thinking about what to do with Chakwas and Michel, now I finally chose to recruit Dr. Michel (it's so hard to refuse Chakwas though after she practically begs to come back to the Normandy ) So far, it's good fun, but I died so many times already, hilarious The drone isn't as effective as in ME2, but it's still fun to watch it zap mooks I am now investing some more points in Fitness finally, and now I have to think about whether I want to leave the Tuchanka Platoon and Bomb mission for when I have Kaidan back (wanted run with him and James with this Shepard).

So a while back there was this thread that was about how to play the main missions in Mass Effect and in which order you do them
I decided to take the route someone suggested there (don't really remember who, but eh xD), so I did Feros the other day and today I did Therum to get Liara Have to say, it makes so much more sense to do it that way...I dunno why, but it just does
The flow of dialogue you have afterwards makes more sense as well, where you tell Liara you already have the cipher, but still can't make sense of the vision the beacon gave you.
I think tomorrow I'll be tackling Bring down the sky, and maybe some more side missions as well before going to Noveria

I bet it would be a more popular first stop if it didn't have that super-demanding persuasion option with Jeong. Plus, as you said, the dialogue works well, too. I gotta break with my rote path and do Feros first for my next NG+.

I do Feros first because geth are reported in the area, and lost comms for the colony. Follow the geth. They will lead to Saren. Feros>Noveria>Virmire>Therum
