4 is my favorite. Mostly because pirates are cool and I always thought the supernatural bits in Uncharted didn't fit quite right. I was relieved they weren't in U4. It still had it's supernatural bits with the skull things at the end...worst annoying section in the games. That was a pain to get through. you talking about the exploding corpses? I don't think that was supernatural.

Really enjoying this series, done with 3. A little the same as 2 but some of the personal story beats were nice. Let's do 4... And this reminds me what a shame console exclusivity is.

I've wanted to play this but lack a PS4. I believe it can be streamed for PC but my internet connection is sluggish so I don't think it would work out.

True, but games are meant to be played aren't they. U4 looks pretty, graphics have taken a real bump up...

True, but games are meant to be played aren't they. U4 looks pretty, graphics have taken a real bump up... It's like playing an Indiana Jones game; which isn't a bad thing. To that end, I think you'll get the same experience whether you watch it vs play it. It's not like playing a BioWare game, in that my experience is slightly different then yours.

Even so, it's far too much fun not to actually play it. 4 seems a little longer than the other games (no, of course the treasure isn't here is it, it's somewhere else, again...)

On this topic, Amy Hennig has been talking about folk who watch "Let's Play's' of a game rather than buying and playing it.

Not a necro if it's the right thread in the right forum. Right?
Anyway, this series was long my second favorite behind the MET. I skipped 4 because I was trying to reduce my digital body count. Noble goal. Thousands of scavs and kett later; thousands of dudes across Assassin's Creed timelines; a few hundred stormtroopers in the new Jedi: Fallen Order, and I thought, "Who am I fooling?"
Uncharted may be a jaunty, light-hearted murder spree, but it is so fun. I love the characters. I'd long regretted not seeing the end of their story. I saw Uncharted 4 on PSN Black Friday sale and pounced. It's great to be back with Nate, Elena and Sulley. When I finish this, I'll also be playing Chloe and Nadine's adventure.
Even several years on, this is the most polished game I've ever played. (Horizon: Zero Dawn is right there with it.) I kind of expected that, since every Naughty Dog game since the original Uncharted is top shelf.
I haven't finished it, yet. Nate and Elena just arrived outside New Devon. I saved in the shadow of dozens of gibbets. I look forward to seeing how it all wraps up for these characters.

I finished Uncharted 4. It was a beautiful experience, as expected. I was satisfied with the ending for the whole crew. It looked like they got to live good lives beyond the crazy adventures.
Tomorrow I'll start "The Lost Legacy". I like Chloe, and barely know Nadine. There's no way it will have the immense charm of Nate and company, but I have no doubt it will be good. I'd love to have Charlie Cutter involved somehow. He was so awesome in his half-a-game role in Uncharted 3.

I started The Lost Legacy today. I'd likely have finished it, if not for having the world's neediest shih doodle.
While Chloe and Nadine aren't as instantly engaging as Nate, they're cool. Watching their relationship evolve has been fun. I'm very late in the game, now, so the dynamic has changed substantially.
Gameplay is very similar to U4, of course. There are some differences. There are some differences in weaponry. Chloe picks locks, which makes sense. Nadine is usually substantially more aggressive and useful in combat than Nate's U4 companions.
I'm pretty impressed with how the handled the ladies' hair. Chloe's hair gets sweaty and wet and sticks to her head and neck. Nadine wisely wears her hair pulled back in the jungle. It still manages to look very good. I wish more studios could get ethnic hair correct.
Even at this late stage, the characters' personal goals and stories are evolving. I already like Chloe before the game. Nadine is smart, but humble about it. She's also dedicated and dutiful. Not surprising, I guess; but we get to see a less antagonistic side than in U4; and we get some perspective on why she was doing that job in the first place.
I look forward to finishing the game tomorrow. God of War is waiting, but I might do a full series PT after this. If not, I'll do it after GoW. I played the original trilogy on PS3, so I'll have all of the trophies and unlockables to earn again.

I finished The Lost Legacy. It was a very good game. I would absolutely enjoy another game with this cast. Particularly since they've now worked together and developed as characters, a sequel would probably be on par with the old crew.

Dat ending to Uncharted 4, hits you right in the feels. Never really had any interest in Lost Legacy, maybe I'll check it out then.

I'd estimate it to be about the same length as the original Uncharted. The ending of U4 was really good. I was completely satisfied with it, as sad as it is to see the cast retired.

Any hope for a new uncharted spin off series.... Drakes daughter perhaps? Another Chloe adventure? Any new series by naughty dog? Looking forward the the Last of Us 2 I would really love to, but I think they made the right decision to end Drake's story on Uncharted 4. Don't get me wrong, I have a great time with the series and it is one hell of a ride. But it should end on Uncharted 4, where Drake finally settles down with his family.

I've been meaning to go back and replay Uncharted. I love them all with the exception of the first which just doesn't hold up well for me. 2's fantastic, 3's amazing, and 4 is my personal favorite. Nathan Drake is an awesome protagonist and I love the pace of the games.

Just replayed the first two... and even if UC1 is clunky by any standard, it still has heart while Uncharted 2 is a top ten all time game. I’m deliberating whether or not I play the next two Or skip them to directly go to Lost Legacy. I was not a huge fan of the more “grounded” family melodrama of 3 and 4. I wanted action, a dab of supernatural, and quips galore... and those two didn’t give a whole lot of any of it.
But, at least still have Lost Legacy to look forward to. Maybe ND will wisen up and ditch Druckmen for Uncharted and stick with the two guys they had on LL. Or bring back Amy? Though maybe she is less adventure oriented given her recent forays in the gaming world.

I"m fairly certain I have asked this question before...but I can't find my post or the appropriate thread so I am asking again.
Uncharted Legacy of Thieves is now on sale on STEAM for about 30 Dollars Canadian. It's been on my Wish List since it was first released but I've always held off on buying it because I feel that I would be missing out on a lot not having played the other games at all. I am vaguely aware of the games but I know nothing of the story. Can I play Legacy of Thieves without any prior XP or knowledge of the other games and still enjoy it? For (approximately) 30 Dollars as a stand-alone game/purchase (unless or until Sony releases the others) is LoT worth the money to play it as a standalone?
If replies/responses are positive, I would like to buy it today....so a speedy reply would be appreciated from anyone who has played either this game alone or the others. Your input would help me make a decision.

Each one is a standalone adventure with the only thru line being the relationships the characters have but that's not necessary to enjoy Uncharted 4 or Lost Legacy. The characters have essentially entered new territory with their relationships in Uncharted 4. There are references to the other games but you're not missing anything important.
