Mass Effect: Andromeda release date: March 21, 2017

Retailers typically get their stock of games five to seven days in advance, and then they sit on copies until release. Shops will have them, they just won't sell them barring the few that will break the street date.

Well, that's good news.

Not pre-ordering, though. I want to see some reviews first and maybe try the MP beta, assuming they're doing one this time around.

Though honestly, they've got to start ramping up the marketing, right? It's less than three months away and we still know very little. I know they're modeling the launch after FO4, but even it had a lot more info out at this point, iirc, though I think it was mostly settlement and crafting related.

Of course, maybe they were waiting to get the release date solid before wanting to go full-blown marketing bonanza. Either way, I hope we actually get some screentime for companions other than Peebee (who we don't actually know anything about either, lol. Other than her questionable taste for pink pleather jackets, I guess.)

Fantastic! I'm gonna wait till the end of February before I request my vacation. Don't wanna jump the gun line I did with Uncharted 4.

No, but nothing very meanigful can be achieved in that time. 

And not three months, more like 2 and a half.

Disappointed no PC for MP beta. I don't own a console anymore (not since the short time that ME1 was console exclusive...) and I won't be buying one for the sake of it. Will just have to wait for MP gameplay videos to surface before making a final decision. Hopefully they turn out good.

If I recall correctly, usually games go gold around three weeks before release, since it takes about three weeks for the games to be certified, made into downloads or discs, and sent to retailers.
