If Ryzen is anything like what we are used to seeing from AMD, its only going to get better when they get more experience with the chipset.

No, Andromeda is more graphical intensive than Witcher 3, it uses Frostbite engine, I run TW3 at 60 - 55 FPS on ultra and DAI 40 -50 FPS on high - very high I7 4790 , 16 GB Ram, GTX 970 3GB Vram the Frostbite Engine is way more demanding than RED Engine, and RED Engine is way better optimized Both the Witcher 3 and Andromeda will be very optimized. Most EA games are optimized. But if you really want pure graphical punishment then try running ARMA III for your CPU and Crysis 3 for your GPU. the Mass Effect trilogy was optimixed maybe, Dragon Age Inquisition was not optimized at all

Old topic (from old forum), but still curious if they are going to implement DX12... I mean, it seems as though DX12 has some serious potential, but the fact of the matter is, is that none of the devs really want to put in the work to really allow the potential for DX12 to be seen. Would be nice if ME:A utilizes more of DX12s potential to get some better results than what we are used to seeing from that API...

Does BF1 use Vulkan? I am wondering because I know it has DX12 support and its on the same game engine. I am just assuming that it does not since I didn't see an option for it when I used it to benchmark it.

Does nvidia have any kind of anti-Vulkan bias? Their drivers support Vulkan very well, and they keep improving, on Windows and Linux alike. Actually there's no good reason why anyone wouldn't support Vulkan, except of course microsoft.

Nvidia GPUs lack asynchronous computing at the hardware level; AMD GPUs have it. Vulkan has async compute reliant processes, so Nvidia cards can't fully take advantage of the API. No bias, they just don't have the hardware for it until the 1100 series cards more than likely.

Ah OK... I was kind of annoyed by how they bullshitted their way out of it, when people brought up the same issue with respect to DX12. They pretty much falsely advertised the entire Maxwell line, as being '100% DX12 compliant'. (Not that they aren't used to doing things like that.)

From your specs i would bet you're going to be running near max at 1080p.

I would even go so far as to not expect it until the 12 series, as the 11 will probably be more of a refresh tick

Damn, why so many people are worried playing on GTX 970? This is a great card to this very day, if you play on 1080p, heck you could even play 1440p on it after lowering some advanced gfx features.

Looks a lot like a guess to me. It pretty much boils down to "If you're using a mid-range i5/Phenom II and mid-range GPU from within the last five years, you shouldn't have any problems running it at 1080p; lower end hardware will get result in lower framerates and resolution." which has been fairly obvious from the start. The AMD card being listed as the R9 280 is a little bit odd considering it's two years newer than the 670, but it isn't too surprising since it's just a rebranded HD 7950. This tells me that the page has not been updated in quite a while.

However, this is a site devoted to determining if your PC can play X game or not. That's what has me puzzled. Like why would they put their reputation on the line and give what is recommended unless they could back it up somehow. Also, since this site is devoted to PC specs and not say, the story for the game, I don't expect them to really give much info on that stuff since that is not their forte. They did give a bit about the game being for high end PCs which has me wondering just how much they know about what its going to take to run the game on various levels.
