They're lying, and people are falling for it because the name of the game can be found in a drop down menu
I'm not actually getting furious, it's just irksome they would act like they have information that they obviously don't. The last 3 paragraphs in the picture I posted have them even contradicting their own BS
You need a top tier near current gen card to play it, yet 5 year old cards with 2gb of gddr should be fine? It's made up BS

Just change the title and the recommended amount of VRAM as needed.

I am laughing my ass off at the people (er, person) that believes this game will have an absurdly high PC spec for high performance.
It is. A game. Made. For. CONSOLES.

Oh come on already well you.. this game was made for consoles to start with, so the pc requirements are not going to be that high but I could be wrong. >_>
In the long run, I'm going to enjoy Mass Effect: Andromedaon my PC or Xbox One, it really does not matter to me which platform I use to play it in the end.

DA:I required a GTX 660 (don't know the GPU for AMD) for recommended specs. Granted going up two notches (660 Ti is in the middle of the two) is really pushing the envelope. But we'll see when specs are released.

For CPU junkies and for those looking to upgrade their hardware. PC Perspective's Ryan Shrout interviewed Ryan Kanter, who wrote a Zen article for the Microprosessor Report as part of The Linley Group. David, is an analyst and consultant on processor architecture and design. Interesting stuff starts at around 10:00 in the video. There is some P4, Opteron and Athlon history, Kaby lake and Zen comparisons, why L1 cache is critical, "so called" neural AI learning = branch predictors, why not one CPU can service both the server space and the consumer space, floating point / integer design choices, impact on data movement, frame latency more critical than having 60fps and much more. Link to the interview: www.pcper.com/reviews/Processors/Dissecting-AMD-Zen-Architecture-Interview-David-KanterLink to David's ZEN report now public: www.linleygroup.com/mpr/article.php?id=11666Link to David's other articles in Real World Tech: www.realworldtech.com/

Pieszka @pieszka @gamblemike Would be nice to know PC system requirements *thumbs up*
Michael Gamble ✔ @gamblemike @pieszka that's coming within the next 2 weeks for sure. It's all set!
Michael Gamble @gamblemike @pieszka no problem. I'm *really* sorry we didn't get it out sooner. We were experimenting to make sure that our min spec was rock solid!
In short: PC Specs released by March 1st (which should also be about when the game goes Gold).

Really unlikely they'd go to 10. 7's still got almost twice the market share of 10.
I've run DAI on a PC well under the min spec without too much trouble, FWIW. Of course, a sudden framerate drop won't kill you in that combat system.

Many companies releases system requirements months before actual game release, I'm little worried about optimization, especially after DAI.. (BF1 is much newer and advanced than DAI and it's working great even on gtx 970 (ultra@1080p, about 80-100 fps average, while DAI struggles to be close to 60fps sometimes). But in the other hand it's probably good that they are working on it until the game goes gold.

From what I know, BF1 uses the updated FB, while MEA has it same as DAI, BF4, SW:Battlefront and (I think) recent Mirrors Edge. Nobody knows how good (or how bad) the optimization is going to be this time.

Even though I have a PC that could probably run the game quite well, I'm probably gonna play on my PS4 Pro. PC gaming has gotten weird, performance wise. Having a good system just isn't enough anymore to ensure good performance. Yeah, that's right. Lifelong PC gamer that switched to consoles. Be scared

Nah, the problem is mostly if people want to run it beyond medium (high?) settings (like on consoles) and then complain about performance on ultra settings I will not trade modding that plastic/shiny hairs for consoles, nope

I think BioWare have been royally kicked in the past (Crestwood comes to mind) for information (including leaks in that case) that turned out to be incorrect. In the wake of 'No Mans Sky' I'm seeing an almost obsessive desire to not be caught in a 'No Mans Lie' situation... Misleading marketing can plague a game forever. Withheld marketing that turns out well can be quickly forgotten.

Nobody knows how good (or how bad) the optimization is going to be this time. They all used Frostbite 3 DA:I was just the first time Bioware had tinkered with it. After that experience and the few extra months of polish, I'm betting it's going to run a lot better than DA:I

I still feel kinda silly tho', as GTX 1080 is an enormous overkill for 1080p, but I think I will eventually also switch to 1440p monitor at some point. I think GTX 1080 has so much juice, that 1440p won't be a problem to get stable 60 fps / no drops. Now 4k resolution... that is something I wanna see ME:A displayed on in the future in real and not just YT videos, must be amazing.

I bought a gtx 1080 too I have the gygabyte, it's kinda noisy but it was cheaper lol. It shouldn't have any problems (beside being too loud) compared to the others, right?
