I just hope that appearance is (at least somewhat) divorced from stats. I want to be able to craft the type of gear I want to see my character wear, with the stats I want to have on it. Certain armors in ME3 I never wore, because I couldn't stand the way they looked (same in DA:I) even though the stats on the gear I WAS wearing didn't really help my character the way I'd like it to. I'd also like it if the crafting system were more streamlined compared to DA:I. By mid-game at the latest, if you were even a little diligent at picking up schematics, your crafting menu was a complete mess. And trying to figure out which schematic you wanted to use took a whole helluva lot of back and forth in menu screens, checking which utility/defense/whatever slot with which materials gave you the results you were looking for. I liked the concept behind DA:I's crafting, but it was a clumsy, unwieldy beast of a clusterfuck in practice. I have that same issue with ME:3.....I don't like the way the other armours look. That's why my Shepard only ever wears the original N7, with certain upgrades that I find pleasing to watch him strut around in. that was problem with the whole trilogy and to a lesser degree the DA series i just from some reason don't seem to like the amour we get through the game and prefer the original we are given at the start

They were still pretty rubbish, but there was slightly more variety, especially if like me, you played a Mage and all you could find were Robes. At least in DA:I I could slap some mage battle armour on, so I wasn't running a round slaughtering people in a dress. But yes, I do hope we get a little more variation in ME:A this time.

I had a general ideas which armor i wanted but had to wait for it to load on the character in question to be sure. Oh i just v had a thought. You guys know when inv the game you went to go craft and then would get a better fade touched material but you may not have had the mats anymore to craft a new set? It would be awesome if you can disassemble armor then remake it.

that was problem with the whole trilogy and to a lesser degree the DA series i just from some reason don't seem to like the amour we get through the game and prefer the original we are given at the start Yeah, much of the armor choices throughout the series thus far has been cringe-worthy at best. As midnightwolf below says, though, that DA:I is a definite improvement, although much still is left to be desired. I'm just not a fan of specific outfits can only have these stat bonuses or whatnot. Give me the freedom to choose my appearance, then let me improve my stats over time with modifications or whatever to that outfit. I won't have a fit if this isn't the case, but one can dream.... that was problem with the whole trilogy and to a lesser degree the DA series i just from some reason don't seem to like the amour we get through the game and prefer the original we are given at the start I think DA:I was an improvement over DA:2. Rogue armor wasn't too terrible either, but when I wanted utility slots so I could boost my dexterity or cunning, quite often those armors didn't look the way I wanted, so I'd either hafta settle for the good looking armor with defense slots (which weren't terrible, but 10% bonus to cold defense vs +3 DEX? Gimme the dex please!) or the one with the slots I wanted, but didn't look right. Like you, I'm hoping for a few more options in ME:A. I fully agree with you there, let's hope for some diverse amour choice Yes, I want the option of swagged out and powerful gear. Preach on, my brother! Swag > skills, but both is best!

One of the reasons I play DA on lower difficulties because I build my party by terms of how well the characters get along, not what skills they use, and same thing when it comes to my character's armor and stuff. I prefer looks to skills any day.

ME 2 you did not really get a lot of armor or casual wear for that matter BUT they all looked, and even functioned, very, very differently. Same thing with the weapons really.

I prefer looks to skills any day. Pretty much this. I like building a fun (and funny!) party, and luckily in DA:I Blackwall plus Sera plus Dorian is a helluva powerful party that's hilarious to boot! But outside of that, yeah, style over substance is the order of the day

ME 2 you did not really get a lot of armor or casual wear for that matter BUT they all looked, and even functioned, very, very differently. Same thing with the weapons really. I really don't necessarily want a whole huge array of armors to choose from, either. I just want the option to choose the one I think looks the best, then have the ability to add whatever bonuses to it I want. Kind of like how adding a scope or a different barrel to a rifle in ME3 altered the look but didn't substantially change what it was, I'd be ok with something like that in ME:A. Give me 3-5 armor choices, and a few differing upgrades that let each of us customize however we wish. Same idea as yours as far as a small set of distinct armors that act differently...but the difference is in the upgrades, not the armor itself. That gives more customization options to the player.
