Let's fucking do this. Totally down, up to and including the CW portion. The 100 was a lot better than a lot of people realize, B5 deserves another shot at making it, and CW will keep shit around for forever. This lets it keep a little of the scrappy underdog spirit that powered the original; I'd have anxiety about cancellation constantly if they gave it a full on HBO budget.

I believe I saw one of their TV-shows, called 'Pandora'. I was quite surprised when they renewed it for the second season. If this company is willing to give money to that thing, B5 might have a long, if budget, future. |

It's very unique and shouldn't be replicated. It can't be replicated, not with so many of the original cast passed beyond the veil.  My fear would be is this a new godawful spinoff a la the crazy chick kicking in 3D or something similar? Some kind of sequel with a whole new cast is about all they can do, but the previous attempts weren't very encouraging.

Just so happened I was watching the Stargate episode "200" which did a lot of parodies of scifi tv. And one of them, the "younger, edgier reboot" pretty much defined my concerns about a Babylon 5 show on the CW: That’s what I thought of The 100. Tried the first episode and had flashbacks to that spoof. *** I’m looking at this as an unexpected chance at something wonderful that I’m not taking too seriously. Almost like a scratch’n’win you get at Christmas in a card. I didn’t pay for it, I didn’t ask for it, but I appreciate the occasional extra few dollars. There have been so many false starts I don’t have hype. Straczynski’s involvement is still a good sign. I can’t imagine the Buffy reboot is going swimmingly right about now.

So I'm following a British youtuber who's watching B5 for the first time. She has a very good grasp of the characters, the plot (put forth some excellent hypothesis too) and is emotionally invested as the seasons go on.
She just put up her reaction to S3 Interludes and Examinations. Wow, she cried when Kosh died. I remembered how shocked I was and gut wrenching it was when I watched this ep in the 90s.
Anyway, it's interesting to once more share the journey of B5 with someone as keen as she.

You know I can't believe it been rewatching the show for what feels like probably the 7th time started it fairly recently but we are up to the episode where Sheridan finds out Morden is still alive and gets the lore dump from hell from Delenn and Kosh. Even all these times my heckles still rose at the story of what happened to the Icarus.

Getting to season 5 and another fun little tidbit for me. For some weird reason I always seem to forget what an utter dick Byron was. Like that whole plot line I thought was probably the weakest of the show but I always tend to look at Byron as being a fairly good guy and basically a tragic figure and the Ghandi of B5. And well that is certainly what he likes to portray himself as but then man is the man just very...well to be nice about it just as anti mundane as bester is. It is quite the phenmon.
