Don't know if I've posted these before but for x-mas, this is what I want to put some money towards: b5books.com/It has so much....and it covers everything that is considered canon. Like the Valen comics and some of the books, like "To Dream in the City of Sorrows." I want these blu-rays. Didnt know they had a B5 box like that....noice. Edit: They have a new unoffical book now.... Dream Given FormFrom the preview I looked at it has rather interesting trivia inside. A Dream Given Form provides an accessible, comprehensive, and critical look at Babylon 5, one of the most groundbreaking series of all time. Nearly 20 years after the show ended, this indispensable companion not only covers all five seasons of Babylon 5, but also the feature-length TV movies, the spinoff series Crusade (including three non-produced episodes), The Legend of the Rangers, The Lost Tales, the canonical novels, the DC comic book series, and the short stories set in the Babylon 5 universe. Each season and text is explored thoroughly with an in-depth look at how the individual episodes, books, stories, and comics fit into larger ongoing storylines. Carefully constructed to be enjoyed by both those who have watched the series multiple times and viewers watching for the first time, A Dream Given Form elucidates without spoiling and illuminates without nitpicking.

Carefully constructed to be enjoyed by both those who have watched the series multiple times and viewers watching for the first time, A Dream Given Form elucidates without spoiling and illuminates without nitpicking. I actually bought Dream Given Form at Fan Expo last month. It was the first thing I saw going in Still no Psi Corps badge... It's... ok. It has a bit of neat trivia, but it's not quite the same as the encyclopedia or those "JMS answers 5000 questions" books (man I really wish I could still get those). It basically summarizes the show episodes, specials, Crusade, canon novels and comics, provides some little tidbits on each and then there's an analysis section where they discuss some themes and other messages of the works. I'm a bit iffy on the context some of the analyses are framed, but it was still a decent read. There's also an interview with Peter Jurasik- that was pretty sweet. For some actors, any given show is just a paycheck. I love that none of the B5 cast I've seen talk about the show treat it that way. They all know it was something special and it's interesting to see what they each took from it.

It's really sad that so many of the cast have passed away already.

I don't have JMS's books but I do have the novels. Also a collection of cards, a letter and a autograph from MF. Also have some mini-B5 ship models, model kits of the Starfury. That's about it.

Was talking to my girlfriend about the curse of Babylon 5 insofar as the cast is dying off at an alarming, sad, and contiguous rate. That in turn got me thinking about my favourite photo from B5, Smoking G'kar. Which in turn got me thinking of Andreas Katsulas. Was looking at some google images on that train of thought when I found something worth a share. Never saw this at the time and can't remember if I've ever seen it since. *** Just finished The Punisher last night with my girl. Amazing series we both loved it. Spoilers below. (Of little but some relevance to B5) The first season ends with the Punisher sitting in a circle with other veterans, he speaks about facing life without war. Verbatim his last words in season one are, "for the first time 'n as long as I can remember I don't have a war to fight. And I guess, if I'm gonna be honest; I just, I'm scared."
For that to be the ending really brought the brutal season to a perfect close; and for some reason the feeling of that ending and parts throughout the series reminded me of GROPOS.

lol politics would be more interesting with those two running or being elected.
Though truth be told, in the current state we desperately need some Vorlon guidance. Some days, I'd even take the Shadows.
We are not ready to tell them to GTFO.

Digging up some snippets. I'm of a mind to watch the whole series again, just have to dive into the library of dvds and blurays. The pilot was a half & half. What caught my eye was the setting, the ships and the Vorlon ship. This is how Windows OS will operate in the future.

Talia for me. Lyta's been growing on me as well. Telepaths do it better Though I have to say, post-transformation Delenn can be hella cute when she wants to be. It's almost unfair. And again, we find the oddest things when googling B5... Not that I'm complaining...

Maybe that's the real reason they stay in their suits. Not because every species sees them as "divine beings", but that the conform to the imaginations of those viewing them.
Leading to that unfortunate incident at an anime convention, where a Vorlon left his suit and ended up taking on the form of an octopus engaged in tentacle hentai.
Yeah... I'd stick to wearing a suit after that too.

The Krogan and I managed to collect the entire series in DVD (including Crusade) and usually watch it all at least once a year.

RIP Once again. One of my favourite parts here↓ "What we perceive as god, is the byproduct of our search for god."
