Easy to forget that this Mass Effect 3 teaser dropped before the Mass Effect 2 The Arrival DLC.
Are we all now so used to waiting 600 years for the next game? 

BioWare thought of the day: Been watching some movie analyses of Alien today. It makes me think BioWare ripped even more ideas straight from another franchise and I like Metroid less knowing that its "amazing" woman-reveal at the end was because it was based on Alien in the first place.

Still, awesome games we got, but gaming has a ways to go in finding itself. I'm also more believing in the idea of political viewpoints being injected into games. I don't think BioWare can overcome the biggest things that hold them back with this game though. They ripped a line straight from the Avengers and used it for the latest MEA trailer and they're still riding on this idea they started with ME3 of obsessing over making "authentic" dialogue right down to making characters leave out articles "You asking me?" and stuff. Alien has such good dialogue, I just realize. I want Mass Effect to have good dialogue too, and not just "real-talk" and not tryhard dialogue or self-referential jokes.

This saturday I saw a live-orchestral video game concert where they performed the Last Guardian theme for the first time "worldwide" apparently, and it sounded beautiful. They also had nice arrangements of Mario and Zelda and other classics, and in between each arrangement, a few words of wisdom from the host... but it was really a concert by gamers for gamers, and it made me think of how much I hate gaming culture sometimes. We're too nerdy and too amazed over cool violence and we're too excited over generic movie-music (half the concert was your average soundtrack ordeal). Ironically the most captivating compositions were of Commodore 64 and Amiga as well as Mario and Zelda because those were actually compatible with classical music moreso than the Hans-Zimmerified, modern Hollywood themes of newer games.

Sometimes I wish as we evolve tech and become more capable of making great movie-like games that we could've kept the ingenius musical compositions of the 8bit era and also keep the focus on game-design that requires gaming intuition and learned skill to be good, like Dark Souls does. I even think Mass Effect could improve in a few areas such as those. I really wish when I was at that concert we'd be talking about games that weren't awesome because they let us be "the badass space soldier" or some guy who saves a princess. It made me realize how greedy and cheap I am as a gamer.

Oh, I remember teaser for that teaser, when they showed 3 pictures and people figured out where the guy was sitting by the shape of the window next to him. Damn freaks.

Well there's still the character trailers. Because we'll get characters trailers, right? I may have dreamt that, wouldn't be the first time. 

But other than that, I suspect they may only release another cinematic trailer and the long gameplay Aaryn promised. And the briefings, of course.

Early access starts five days before launch. We could always post non-spoilery videos made by fans to fill in those last few days if needed: one showcasing the CC, for example, or someone doing a crafting demo. Provided the devs don't beat us to it. Just an idea.

I agree, we should be getting to the MEA trailers in about 23 days time (in this series)

That... was certainly an odd one. I kind of love it though. I know it's not super original or anything but it's neat to get this glimpse of what people on Earth might have seen during the Reaper war. One of my disappointments in ME3 was not getting to be there to experience more of that ourselves. We're just sort of hurled into it in the super rushed intro and off to space war we go.

Now THAT is how you make a freaking exciting hyped over 9000 trailer! i wish we had more trailers like that for andromeda! I mean, i played ME3 for like 500 hours and watching this simply gave me the chills! like i need to play the campaign again right now
