Wow, still on ME3 lol. How long till we get to the Andromeda footage?

I can't help but feel there won't be 30 ME:A trailers. Curious how you'll fill that out. Maybe you can use trailers for other sci-fi shooters and see if anyone notices.

I think James summed it up really well there.

I always thought that trailer (and section of the Tuchanka story-line) were a bit silly really. Still, the space cuttlefish vs. big worm thing was pretty satisfying, especially when the worm won and hugged the cuttlefish to its cold acidy heart and dragged it under.

Oh I loved Wrex and Grunt - and krogans in MP are the best.  I still say it's a silly moment but I enjoyed it just the same.

Mass Effect 3 Voice Cast Reveal - January 31st 2012

5 weeks ahead of ME3 launch, the Voice Cast reveal.

On the other hand, I was watching all the trailers at the time so I must have seen that and completely forgotten about it by the time I played the game. I don't remember experiencing that mission knowing what would happen beforehand!

Except, of course, on all the subsequent playthroughs when knowing beforehand somehow never seemed to diminish the excitement of that moment.

Mass Effect 3 Reinstated (FemShep) Trailer - February 9th 2012

"You've been there, in the trenches, fighting..."

FemShep was my Shep, so I was pleased to see this trailer after all that beefcake.

Love this! Female Shepard is my Shepard, so it's awesome to see her finally get a trailer of her own - and looking so badass too! Took them long enough, though...  Seems odd that they didn't do more to advertise that you could play a female protagonist in the game, when that's a big draw for a lot of people. Even I passed Mass Effect over at first, way back when I first got into games, because all the marketing I saw seemed to suggest that Sheploo was my only option (this was pre-ME3). I've since become more open to playing games with set male protagonists, but at the time I only wanted to play female characters. And since I didn't really know how to find info on games beyond looking at official stuff (like box covers and promo pics), I missed out. Really glad Sara Ryder gets to share the spotlight this time around!

In reviewing the trailer, what strikes me, is how out of context it all is, order, sequencing, dialog all mashed up. I think it does a great job of setting the tone of the game, without giving away much of the game.

For those worried about the upcoming trailers giving away too much, I'd say, give BioWare some credit. They won't spoil the game. I think it's like Thrombin said, you watch the trailers, but when you get in game, it all falls by the wayside, because the scenes we see are in an entirely different context ... or more precisely ... in correct context with the game and they don't match the story we've created in our minds ... and BioWare's created cinematically ... with the trailer.

The sad news is that the bolded part is probably true in a very crude and twisted way, given that I remember a survey that showed male particpants favouring playing as female Shepard by quite a lot of Percentage points more than female particpants playing as Male Shepard.

Which honestly makes me wonder how the quoted statement above would be recieved had the genders been swapped, I ought to think that it be ridiculed before being denounced as an outrageous sexist statement.
