im being completely serious here, Andomeda's multiplayer needs to get chat, lobby chat and in-game chat, people have to interact with each other in such things as co-op combats (Some people have no mics but we all have keyboards and...controllers i guess), otherwise its just the huge leak of teamwork.

I'm pretty sure there's a way to enable it for ME3 on PC, but I've been too lazy to do it.
I do agree that this needs to be an option for Andromeda, as long as there's a way to disable the inevitable overbearing censor.

I totally agree. Overall we need more teamwork and means to work as a team in this next multiplayer.

Text chat will be too slow for the match itself. I don't even have time to respond to the Origins greetings between the waves. Which, btw, half the time loads as a blank square w/o the chat line available. So you have to click "send message to" multiple times to get the chat line to open up...
Overall, yes, chat interface will be great, but I like VoIP a lot, despite its poor quality at times. I am sorry some folks do not have a mike, but well, it is sort of one of the essential gear pieces of playing games with other people...
Anyway, chat for the lobby would be great & better VoIP would be better.
But props to the in-game VoIP, unlike every 3rd party software out there, it did not require adjusting any settings to work for me. Vent, Discord, and Teamspeak all did,and honestly, I think my Discord is still broke. If people can hear me, I can't hear them and vice versa. At least the build in VoIP was like... press Tab and communicate.

Talking (mic) is much more immediate. Can't do it on Console so excluded as a thing because of parity between platforms. And how many complaints would there be of games wiping because some idiot is writing a message...

i can imagine when only one player/character is alive and have to survive the whole wave by him/herself and the other three "dead" team mates giving him/her advice and instructions, where to go, where not to go, what powers to use, "take cover!" "run!" "use this or that power!" very funny yes, chat is a very good element to get more teamwork and in ME3 MP we can see the character and equipment of the other players, i hope that remain, so we can plan better what powers to use, how to complement each other

Yea well i know i still have problems chatting in LoL its like u gotta have a real fast fking fingers for that, but in any way it still works for others. Lobby chat can solve problem like if ur waiting for your friend to join your game but the lobby is full and u gotta say like guys please can someone leave the lobby i got a friend joining us. I know its not much of a problem since u can just leave the lobby yourself and create a new one but still. as for in-game chat heres some examples: u apart of ur teammates and eventually got killed and ur teammie is hurrying to revive u and u know that its a bad idea so u type like 'dude dont even think about reviving my ass cuz this place is full of invisible flexible bitches who slay u out at first sight,so stay back do ur thing and try to survive.' or if u have some noobies in ur team its like u gotta explain em some basic things (like DON'T waste ur fkn medi-gel at first waves like wtf) <- true story tho in ME3MP

The rest of the group at this time will probably be fighting like demons to compensate for your being dead, so will unlikely have time to read your novel about Phantoms no matter how impassioned. And, again, VoIP >>> text for it. In terms of lobby with a friend, just start a private lobby, and change it to public once s/he'd joined you. It's way more polite than telling someone to bug off, VoIP or chat. On the other hand, yes, an easy way to whisper to someone after the match would be nice, but most of those will end up being mean probably, unless the ME community is an exception of exceptions.

Tell you one thing, ME community CAN'T be worse than Cod's and LoL's

Tell you one thing, ME community CAN'T be worse than Cod's and LoL's I am told it was better from the start, and tbh, I'd rather it remain the way it is now, more silent. While coop is not a competitive venue per se, it would suck if what ME:A brings to the table are the "you f**g moron u, do not queue again!" and the like nonsense that destroys games for nicer folks, because you can only can be putting up with crudeness so far till you won't. Well, there is a reason they allow you to form the private lobby, then open it to public, and that's to be able to build up your party composition, then backfill with the pugs, not to build up the pugged group, then tell people to quit in favor of someone you want to play with. That's very uncourteous.

As long as there is an option to block all chat I'm okay with it. I don't want to be forced to read all the crap people write. Same goes for voice chat, an option to disable it so you don't have to listen to other people would be awesome. At least on PC most people keep their mouth shut and play. If you want to chat, use Origin. If you want to talk, use Teamspeak or Discord or something.

Just need a 'U suck noob!' text macro. Yes, and really we should macro all the action buttons to send the messages in chat: melee for F** u! 1 - for morons, 2 -for don't queue again, 3 - for l2p noob! That will nicely automate the convos. They can even randomize it to create different lively banters every time.

Lots of ways to get shared info before/during game
Mic obviously; 3rd party stuff like Teamspeak, etc., and if no Mic at all, Skype or something similar on your cell phone if all else fails.
The point is, and well pointed out by others; text would only be useful in the lobby, and at best a distraction in game, both for the texter and the textee.
If you are taking time out to text during the game, you are either not contributing, or the game itself is terrible because you have the time to text during a supposedly fluid, fast moving game.
If you don't want your voice heard, or are too shy, or too sensitive, or just wish to remain annonymous, then maybe a co-op MP isn't for you.

Okay, if you want them to program a Cadillac version of the Uber Advanced Chat Interface, pressing the omni-bar could insert a name of a team-mate. That should totally do it.

You know, you don't even have to press TAB to talk in the MP game? You can set it to constantly streaming your vocalizing with one easy click? Judging from the icons in the lobby, about 75-90% of folks have something plugged into the headset port.

Its either too quiet or a constant static sounds.
