I just received my Xbox 360 copies of the games and started another playthrough. It is my first time playing the trilogy on a console.I played it o my laptop but now it has become too slow to really play anything on it. Downside is I have to spend a load of money to buy the DLC:( Anyway, today I just became a Spectre Also, I have a question. Does the 360 version come on TWO discs? Because my used ME3 copy arrived in a single disc box with only disc 1 available.I did contact the seller about it.I am waiting for an answer. Only ME2 on 360 was two discs.

You don't have to bring Grunt on Mordin's loyalty mission even if you're doing Tuchanka without returning to the Normandy. The game gives you the opportunity to select a new squad at the beginning of each of the two missions without returning to the ship. Oh, I know, but it's his home planet, so I figure I'd bring the big guy along. No worries. I just thought I throw that in. I know the first time I tried the "2 for 1" deal using Tuchanka, I had it in my head that I had to use Mordin and Grunt on both missions. Now, I actually still quite often do them that way anyway. Grunt can actually be very useful during Mordin's mission and Mordin surprisingly works out quite well on Grunt's loyalty mission.

Oh, I know, but it's his home planet, so I figure I'd bring the big guy along. The way I do it now is talk to Shaman, but he says "be patient" and go prepare, so then I do Mordin's mission (usually w/ Miranda). Then come back for Grunt (usually w/ Jack). Heh... so I've head canoned that Grunt is doing some silly ritual during this time. Ah, i've just done the exact same thing. I took Garrus on Mordin's loyalty mission. Grunt can be swotting up on Krogan stuff while Jen deals with Maelon and in her case, chats with Thane. I usually take Samara on Grunt's initiation thing. I usually end up cowering behind her, this could be interesting HC-wise, as Jenna is a sole survivor. She's already had more than enough Thresher Maws in her life. In spite of being a tough cookie, Jenna was moved, both by the krogan who were willing to die to cure the genophage, and Mordin's reaction to them. She'd expected Mordin to be pragmatic, but in fact he's spiritual and compassionate, he believes that the genophage is the least crappy solution to the problem if krogan aggression, he acknowledges that it's not perfect and that least crappy is still pretty crappy, but he has some hope for the future and he barely knows Wrex. Normally i'm just kind of narked at how grouchy Shep is with Mordin, since he probably has a good point, somewhere in there, if he wasn't in two minds about everything. Nice lead into ME3 though, I can see little light bulbs glowing above Mordin's head, he's beginning to have his doubts. Man, I love Mordin. I guess Grunt will be finished his crash course (probably in more ways than one) in krogan culture by the time we get back, so then we can go and try to get him accepted into Clan Urdnot.

They are giving me a refund because of the missing disc and I ordered another used copy.I hope they get it right this time Anyway, what else did I do in ME today? I saved Liara, explored a couple planets and ended Father Kyle `s crazy biotic cult.

I like Miranda on Mordin's mission because she has a couple minor extra lines. Tali is funny too though. Yeah, Shep is pretty harsh, but I end up agreeing with Mordin in the end. It's only time Mordin has that line he uses again in ME3, I think. "It had to be me. Someone else might've gotten it wrong."

Kirstin finished the main story of ME2 today. She still got the Shadow Broker dlc and Arrival to do, along with some side missions, so I'm not quite done with her yet. Among the highlights of that session was recruiting Samara, meeting her family, harassing aliens in clubs and on the Normandy, killing mercenaries, doing some favors for Aria and having her tell Shepard to "find a guy to loosen up with", presumably followed by drunk texting Kaidan and being blocked on his space book. So business as usual. Kirstin also graced me with a smile, which was awfully nice of her. But now I can't sleep :C

Finished Collector Ship... saved back at Illium to recruit Thane and Samara later. Went soldier with a Widow... almost tempted to go Revenant.
I reeeallly like the ME2 Revenant. I think I've only played Soldier class once though, and they're the only one who can use. For everyone else I usually take the sniper rifle.
Does watching new MEA video count?

Shawna Shepard noticed Asteroid X-57 was on a collision course with Terra Nova. She went to investigate: 1. Landed on the asteroid in the Mako. Was contacted by a woman on the radio.
2. Found a dead engineer.
3. Found a bunch of Batarian terrorists at one of the Fusion torches. Killed all the Batarians. Shut off the fusion torch. Talked to the woman on the radio again.
4. Was shot at by the lead engineer. Shawna yelled at him. ("Here's a tip: two eyes, human. Four eyes, Batarian.")
5. Found another dead engineer.
6. Killed more Batarians and shut down the second fusion torch. The woman was taken prisoner by Batarians.
7. Killed more Batarians and shut down the third fusion torch. Some more Batarians showed up and locked the door behind them. There is a world of difference between trapping Shepard inside a building, and being trapped inside a building with Shepard. The Batarians learned that lesson the hard way.
8. Found a third dead engineer.
9. Went into the main building and found a lot more Batarians that wanted to die, and one Batarian cowering in a container that did not want to die (he died anyway).
10. The terrorist leader Balak showed up. He blamed humans for forcing their hand, then gave Shepard a choice: let him go and save the hostages, or let the hostages die and fight him. Shawna did not even know why he even bothered including the first option (how was that even an option?). Balak killed the hostages, then Shepard killed every Batarian left on Terra Nova. Balak was the last to eat a bullet.
11. The lead engineer was sad and angry that no other human on Terra Nova was left alive, but he was grateful that Terra Nova was saved. He gave Shepard some Colossus X Light Armor, which Shepard gave to Liara.

Final log, Part 1: --Did Tali's loyalty quest and brought Legion with me. The two of them between the distraction drones and the AI Hacking make her quest a cinch. I got to give Tali a hug. The dialogue changes from the generals are enjoyable and it's also funny to me. "Tali, you have been charged with bringing active geth onto the Fleet." "I only sent back inactive parts! I took every precaution!" <Shep glances at Legion> --Legion's loyalty mission, same group. Seriously, they kill geth like no one's business. This time, I did something slightly different. In the spirit of trying something new, I asked, "What would this Shep do?" I destroyed the heretics. It's the first time I've done that and it fits that Paragade Shep. --Respecced to the following: Hardened Aderanline Rush Squad Disruptor Ammo. That's handy for the end with Tali and Miranda Heavy Inferno Ammo. Shock Trooper. Heavy Barrier. Armor: Sentry Interface-+5% to shields Kestrel Torso Shealth--+10% melee, 5% weapon, 3% shields Kestrel Shoulder Pieces--+8% shields, +10% melee Heavy Damping Gauntles--+5% shields Kestrel Power Pack--+8% shields, heavy ammo +5% Note: Tempted to swap the Interface Helm with the Recon Hood for the +5% weapon Main Weapons: Collector Assault Rifle X-98e Widow Anti-Material Rifle Carnifex Hand Cannon M-920 Cain --Turning off the PS3 for a bit so I can see my husband off to work and play with my dogs. Stay tuned for part 2! It'll be time to... --Play as Joker. Aside from the setup, I do really enjoy most of the SM. --Check for a last minute upgrade! --Feed the fish again --Set up the SM. Thanks to advice from themikefest , my first group going with me is Miranda and Zaeed.

That's true.. it's unique to Soldier. I like it too. But I like the Widow for those bosses, especially Harbinger. Just did Garrus' loyalty. It just dawned on me that Sidonis reminds me of Legion. I ended up letting Garrus take the shot, after trying to talk him down at first. His voice acting is great there btw... I heard they at first planned on Sidonis being tied to Garrus' father getting rescued in ME3. That would have been cool.

Still 9 million times better than the Shuriken though.

I just finished the SM and I'm watching the credits start to roll. I blew up the base, but the Renegade speeches to rally the team and to tell TIM off are too much fun to pass up. Everyone made it out alive and in one piece. Mostly...poor Kelly. The shrink needs a shrink. Even in a BioWare game the psychiatrists have to traumatized. Barriers: Jack. It's such a good moment for her character that I can't pass it up. My group: Thane (the biotics are a huge help) and Garrus Final team: Miranda, on Warp and Overload. Tali on Distraction Drone and general DPS goodness. I always get slightly nervous when I see the Normandy coming into the Base. And when I see Jacob take a slug that would kill him if not loyal, I flinch despite myself. That's knowing I'm fully prepared and ready to kick some ass. I think that says a lot to how well that part game was done. Such an excellent final dungeon. The end boss was...meh, but the rest of the place made up for it imho. I sadly missed my first shot with the Cain on the Reaper-Larva (which somehow sounds less dignified than the fan nickname of the Baby Reaper.) I got the second off and used my Widow to finish it off. That was somehow more satisfying than just two shots with the pseudo nuke. I'll be back later to give a bit more of a review of the game as a whole. For now, the credits are still rolling, the music has stopped and I want to go outside for a cigarette.

"I'm having trouble hearing you, I seem to be getting a lot of bullshit on this line. Joker, lose this channel."
ME2 review:
Gameplay: 8/10 overall. I liked the changes to the inventory and weapon system. I liked the combat a lot more. It felt more fluid and natural overall. The only real complaints are the vocal slowdowns when storming or using Adrenaline Rush; and the fact that the X button (or Spacebar in the PC version) does pretty much everything. I also liked the hacking and bypassing minigames.
I did want to mention that the "invisible timers" are very annoying. Do a handful of quests and get "But Thou Must" progress with the plot. Legion is the most egregious for that.
Story: Here's where I give it two scores.
Characters--9/10, hands down. The character stories are engaging, interesting and fun to play through. The companions themselves aren't always interesting (like Jacob imho,) but even he had a good loyalty mission. My criticism here is that you have a very limited amount of time with Legion before the invisible timer kicks in. I would have liked to explore more and take advantage of his skills in more ways. Alas, it isn't meant to be.
TIM was an excellent evil version of Anderson in many ways. Martin Sheen did a top-notch job of voicing him and the writing overall was very good. I also loved Harbinger as well. Give me a taunting villain any day of the week. As an aside, the Nightmare demon in DA:I outshines Cory for me because of that very trait.
Finally, the number of comments regarding art. Everything from the password for the art vault in Kasumi's mission; to Thane quoting Thomas Hobbes and more. The series really changed when that little element went away.
Main story--7/10. While I enjoyed learning more about the Protheans/Collectors, they spent far far too much time focusing on them. I personally would have had more fun seeing what other races could have become. Surely the Protheans aren't the only race in the extremely long lifespan of the Reapers that weren't suitable for getting their own ship. So that was a missed opportunity.
I also would have liked to see Arrival expanded and actually incorporated into the main story. It would have brought the Reapers in a bit more, would have gone more into the direct effects of indoctrination, and would have helped tie together the plot more.
The SM is one of the best final areas I've ever done in a video game. For the first (and really, only time) in the main series, you see the strengths and weaknesses of your squad. It's badass watching them come together after you've done all of the work. It does happen again in Citadel in ME3, but I was referring to non-DLC.
Graphics: Given the time period, 8/10. The hair looks like shit, but that's just par for the course for BioWare games. My main issue is the eyes on the FemShep's. Even with mods and good face codes, her eyes always looks slightly crossed. Otherwise, just like ME1, it's aged amazingly well.
Next time!

I apologize for the double post, but my inner muse struck here. It's long, so it's in spoiler tags for space. This is Interlude part 1: Shepard is stuck on Earth and writes to her mother. This is about 2 months after the end of ME2. The trial hasn't been over long and it's cold outside. --Forwarded to Captain Hannah Shepard Date: January 25th, 2186 Time: 1300 hours "Dear Mom,
How are things going on your end? I heard you passed up a promotion to take command of your own ship. I always knew you could do it. Guess it took stories of my death to finally do what you wanted, huh? Well thankfully, your daughter is allowed to write you after surviving a suicide mission. I'm glad I can. My communication codes are locked out and I'm only allowed to talk to family.
You may have heard by now, but the trial was a mixed outcome. The Alliance couldn't find any evidence to directly convict me, but they keep me grounded "for my own safety." Now I have an overseer named James Vega. He's a good kid, but seems like he can be a bit of a hothead. He's a gossip, so he's let me know a little bit of what's been going on.
Like with my ship. At least I know the Normandy is in good hands. Anderson contacted me last week to let me know that they were retrofitting the Normandy to Alliance specs. I know she'll be just fine. A silly part of me wonders what they are going to do with my fish and my ships. I hope they take care of them.
I keep wondering about the crew too. We spent a week after bringing down the Collectors performing cleanup on small pockets still lingering around the most remote colonies. Well, after the day-long binge on booze. Seriously Mom, it was the worst hangover of my life. My only regret is that Kaidan wasn't there. He missed out on some prime blackmail. Remind me never to let Grunt "experiment" with non-ryncol alcohol ever again. Or any krogan for that matter.
Last I heard, Alliance brass were talking to Jack. Asking questions about her abilities, her ties with Cerberus and her life. She had her usual charming attitude, but they were surprisingly good about dealing with her. Maybe they can give that anger some direction. She could do some real good.
Zaeed bailed after the party. He said something about possibly retiring now that he had a "goddamn reason to live." Kasumi also left that same day. "Thanks for the ride Shep. Now I'm going to go somewhere more fun and with a less potential for dying. Don't be a stranger."
Miranda escaped the Alliance and no one knows where she fled. Apparently they knew about her working for Cerberus for several years and were curious about the science that brought me back. She quickly made herself scarce. Jacob privatedly chatted with Hackett. They concluded that he wasn't guilty of Cerberus' crimes, and did not know about the mission. They decided to let him go. I don't know what he's up to now.
Tali went back to the Flotilla after the trial as well. Between you and me Mom, I'm not sure if the Alliance truly cared that much about Tali's involvement. Well, Anderson and Hackett could vouch for her, but I think most members of the brass could care less if the geth and quarians kill one another. I really hope she's alright.
Legion was going back to the Veil to "build a census." Far as I can tell, he's figuring out where any heretics might be and also trying to find other true geth programs. He left a week before I was called back to Earth. He knew that it would "be counterproductive to Shepard-Commander for us to be on the ship." He intercepted the message before Kelly did.
Samara also left just before I went back to Earth. She didn't give any reasons, but she hugged me and smiled as she left. She did say, "Thank you, Shepard. I've been given the chance to make the galaxy a better place than I could have ever imagined. It's been truly an honor. I hope we meet again."
Garrus went back to Palaven to try to talk some sense into the turians. I think I'd have better luck with reasoning with a drunk krogan, but I can't blame him. Liara has been very busy with her job as an information broker on Illium, but otherwise seems to be doing well.
Anyway, this letter has gone on long enough. I love you Mom and I promise if I'm ever declared KIA again, you'll be the first to know I'm alive. Hang in there and stay safe. May the stars guide your way back home.
Love, Nat" --End of Message.

More ME3 Spoilers Hey you. Things are not really better. I'm still plagued by nightmares, perhaps worse than before... I didn't want to talk to anyone about this, but worst of all is that I have to look Garrus in the eyes like this. Lying to him, not telling him anything. I went to see Joker and unfortunately Garrus was there too. No escape. He talked about Mordin and I was really evasive. I'm sure he knows something is wrong though, I'm definitely not my usual self. Some other things happened too. Liara came by and told me to talk to the salarian councilor. Seemed Udina planned some bad things on the Citadel, which... he did. Cerberus got into C-Sec, Udina threatened the asari councilor with a gun... I would never have expected that. There was also some assassin who wanted to kill the salarian councilor, but thanks to Thane he fled. Thane took a hit in the process, and died later in the hospital. His son Kolyat and I were there, it was... tough. But he's in a better place now. Oh, and then I met Jack and had a drink with Steve, and Ashley is back for good now. She was on the Citadel protecting the Council when we chased the assassin, and we had a little standoff. It went fine, but I feel like there's some more distance between us now again. I don't know if Ash trusts me and she didn't really have a lot to say to me since she's come aboard the Normandy. Either way, work called again and James, Garrus and I took care of a Cerberus base on Noveria. Some more things came up in the meantime, so we'll deal with those before we meet with the quarians. Alright, time to sleep if I can. See you next time. Screenies:

I think now I'll just use the Cain for the praetorians. I hate them and using the cain on husks would just be silly. Although, if I could. . .
