Jarec Shepard:
- Landed on Ilos with Kaidan and Liara. Looking for the Conduit. Killed lots of geth. Found a Prothean VI that called itself Vigil. Learned that the Citadel and the relays are an elaborate trap laid by the Reapers. Works every time. The Conduit was a small relay the Protheans managed to create linking them the Citadel. It will allow access to a master control unit that can be overridden with a program provided by Vigil. That can be used to stop Sovereign from using the Citadel to bring the rest of the Reapers in from dark space where they reside. It's amazing to think but the Protheans provided key components to stopping the Reapers. They helped our cycle even when they couldn't save their own. They gave us hope.
- Made it through the Conduit and onto the Citadel, in the Presidium. Wrecked the Mako, something I almost thought impossible. Had to go outside the access the Council Chamber in order to find Saren. Fought geth and krogan along the way.
- Came face to face with Saren again. He was going to pay for Ash's death, as well as the deaths of so many others. I pulled out some crazy diplomatic skills I never knew I had. We never fought. Instead, Saren killed himself.
- Got control of the Citadel. Destiny Ascension, with the Council on board, was in trouble. The Alliance fleet could save them, at great cost. Liara seemed to be channeling Ash's ghost by telling me to sacrifice the Council. Kaidan, ever my Jiminy Cricket, suggested I save them. Despite the differences I've had with the Council, it would be rough going being leaderless. I chose to save them. This would also prove once and for all that humanity did not consider itself more important than any other species.
- The Council saw the sacrifices humanity made and offered us a seat. Other species have spent centuries without ever becoming part of the Council and humanity has done it in under 30 years. They asked my opinion on who should sit on the Council. That backstabber Udina was surprised when I didn't choose him. I thought a military man might help things so I went with Anderson.
- Over the next few weeks and months, the Council seemed to largely forget the Reapers were the real threat. They had me concentrate on the geth. But human ships were disappearing and that didn't seem like geth behavior.
- A race called the Collectors had been seen lately. One of their ships attacked the Normandy. I didn't survive.

Shawna Shepard: 1. Joined Aria's fleet and helped her retake Omega. Shawna considered killing Petrovksy herself, but decided to watch Aria do it instead.
2. Rescued some ex-Cerberus scientists from attacked Cerberus forces.
3. Talked to a bunch of squaddies on the Silversun Strip.
4. Rescued a Turian platoon that had crashed on Tuchanka.
5. Provided fire support for the Turian platoon while they disarmed a giant bomb. None of the Turians survived, unfortunately.

Finally did just about everything on Insanity (minerals, sidequests). So tedious! But glad it's done. Just have Virmire left. I think I'll save Kaidan and let Ash die in budding romance. I've always liked this.. sad as it is. I wonder if anyone has accidentally played this way. That's even more sad. It's also trailer Shep.

I copied over some more ME2 guides from the old BSN forums into these forums. For ME2, I think I have just class guides left to copy over. Hopefully if all goes well, I can copy at least half of them over (although I hope I get on a roll and copy them all over). Then I can move on to ME3, although I might copy some smaller ME3 guides shortly.

Loaded up Carters save today. Had not prepped him properly for Tuchanka, so did that first. Then he did Tuchanka (lost Mordin), the Citadel (lost Thane), helped to diffuse a bomb with some turians (lost Victus) and is now chilling on a geth ship waiting for his team of Ash and Tali (lost the docking tube). So win some, lose some. Ken almost gave him a heart attack when he told Gabby that Kelly had been shot. Carter instantly made the trip to confirm she was still alive and kicking . Also found Space Hamster and am wondering if I just missed him on Kirstin's save, since I thought he was a static pick up and didn't realize he was actually running around (chewing on those tasty tubes and wires). On the other saves I always caught him when he was hidden under the tubes. Thinking about starting Jacks save as well, to delay playing the Dlc with Carter and to try to finish the Jack romance. JackxJack so to speak.

Jarec Shepard: (newly imported into ME2 - not Sheploo but still looks great)
- Woke up in pain. Last thing I remember was suffocating to death after a Collector ship destroyed the Normandy. The voice of someone named Miranda urged me to move. Alarms said the facility I was in was under attack. She directed me to a locker with a pistol and my N7 armor. Mechs were everywhere, killing the staff. I wondered if it was a rogue VI like I'd recently fought on Luna or, worse, an AI like the one I took down on the Citadel.
- Ran into a guy named Jacob. Soldier type but he said he wasn't with the Alliance. He's the first person I saw not being killed by mechs but I'm sure his biotics helped. Curiously, I found myself with a new biotic ability. After learning that I'd been dead and this Lazarus Project had rebuilt over the past two years, I wondered if whatever they did gave me new powers.
- Jacob seemed okay but this Wilson guy we came across triggered something in me. He had clearance out of his area (including over mechs) and an audio file I heard suggested he wanted more money. Given the size of the facility and the scope of the project I have to assume he was well paid. Suspicious. The gunshot wound to the leg - from behind a short wall where his legs were covered - didn't help allay suspicions. Then Jacob dropped a bomb. He said the Lazarus Project was funded by Cerberus - an organization known for experimenting with husks, rachni, rogue VI and Thorian creepers, as well being responsible for the death of Admiral Kahoku. It may have been two years but it's only been months for me. Definitely can't trust these guys.
- When we finally made our way to the shuttle bay the door opened and a woman raised a gun, shooting Wilson. She said he was a traitor and my gut said he was waiting for a chance to get me. Wanted to seriously question Jacob and Miranda but I got the sense that, despite being in charge of the Lazarus Project, they were still ultimately lackeys who didn't see the full picture.
- Once we were off that station I "met" with the Illusive Man, head of Cerberus, via a very realistic hologram. He told me entire human colonies were going missing, which was what justified the billions spent bringing me back. It left me interested.

Started a romance with Ash but then saved Kaidan. Funny how ME2 considers this as having romanced no one.

Finished... time to relax before I get into ME2 again. That might be the last time I play ME1. I don't think I'm ever going to unlock the other achievements (squadmate achievements, power bonuses, etc). I got some of those on 360, but I can't bother again.

It's just kind of some self-contained system that resembles it (although if I open up my "Xbox" app, it recognizes that I own PC Mass Effect.. but it still doesn't register any achievements there).

I copied a bunch of ME2 guides from the old BSN forums to these forums (Adept, Engineer, and Sentinel). Took about 4 hours (maybe a little less? I took a few breaks.) Really wishing I started doing this earlier. Old BSN shuts down on October 25. Not much time left. I still have to finish copying over some of the ME2 guides, and then get started on ME3 single player guides. Too little time.
Wish I was playing Mass Effect instead; copying these guides makes me want to play ME2 again.

Jarec Shepard:
- After meeting with the Illusive Man, I tried to strike up a conversation with Miranda. What was the phrase Wilson used? "Stone cold bitch". It suits her. Jacob was much more reasonable.
- Investigated Freedom's Progress. Immediately attached my mechs. No sign of colonists or of a struggle. Then I came across a group of quarians led by none other than Tali'Zorah. Recovered data from a quarian who was on pilgrimage. The Collectors somehow neutralized and abducted the colonists with technology unlike anything known. I asked Tali to join be but she couldn't. I'm sure me being with Cerberus didn't help.
- After a debriefing with the Illusive Man (TIM, for short), I decided I needed to go after the Collectors. My old team was unavailable so I was going to have to look into people TIM suggested. However, he had no problem letting me ask for help from the Council. It doesn't make me trust him but it does show I can make some decisions. Beyond that, my pilot was Joker who had been recruited after the Alliance grounded him. To top it off, a rebuilt Normandy was going to be our ship. Rebuilt, just like me, but without all the damn scars.
- The Normandy SR-2 had some differences. For one, it was much larger. Second, it had an AI called EDI installed. Not too keen on that given my history with the geth and the rogue VI on Luna. I made the rounds as usual to meet the crew. New people in engineering, a cook in the kitchen (that's new), but still with Dr. Chakwas in medical and Joker at the helm. A cute little yeoman was also flagging my messages. Miranda opened up a little more but hard to say if that's the job or she trusts me.

Grats! i've been playing MP all weekend, back to the ME campaign this morning. Just finished another sidequest, with Courncopia freighter. Ouch. Those husks.... don't think I can finish ME1 before the 25th like I wanted to. But tbh, I am not that keen on Revelation, I'd rather stick with figuring out the MP. Infiltrator went really poorly, so if Vanguard starts horrible, I all just give up on levelling all classes and go back to either engi or Sentinel.

I have Vanguard and Soldier left. So far my top picks for my 'main' class are Engineer or Sentinel. Once I level all 6 classes, I will pick one and stick with it to really get Bronze down, and maybe try Silver after.

Jarec Shepard:
- Admiral Hackett heard I was alive. He sent me info about the Normandy SR-1 crash site on Alchera. This is the place where I, along with the lower deck crew, died. Found lots of dog tags: Felawa, Tanaka, Laflamme, Emerson, Barrett, Grieco, Waaberi, Gladstone, Chase, Bakari, Tucks, Rahman, Draven (both), Grenado, Pakti, Dubyanksy, Lowe, Negulesco, and Crosby. Entering the remains of the shuttle bay brought up memories of Ash. It may have been two years ago when she died but the loss is still fresh in my memories. Placed a memorial next to the Mako. Read an old data pad of Pressly's showing his transformation to anti-alien to pro-alien. My old helmet somehow survived. That's baffling since I was wearing it when I suffocated to death. Then I returned all those tags to the Alliance. I'm not sure it makes sense, since I'm flying a Cerberus ship these days, but I put up a memorial war to all of those who died.
- I decided not to go to Omega right away. Instead, I went to the Citadel. Needed to check in with Anderson. Met with the Council. All I can say is that the turian councilor should be damn glad he was on hologram. I would have knocked him on his ass for dismissing the Reapers as a real threat. They did offer to reinstate my Spectre status. It's not enough but it's something. Anderson suggested I accept. I won't be with Cerberus any longer than necessary. This will save time later.
- Another interview with Khalisah al-Jilani. I put her in her place - verbally and on the air.
- Recruited the thief Kasumi Goto. I helped her retrieve a graybox from Bekenstein. No easy task but found some amazing statues. And a Locust. Only had to take down Donovan Hock in his gunship to do it.
- Headed to the Citadel. Recruited the merc Zaeed Massani. Tough looking son of a bitch. Could be useful. Also met Aria T'Loak, ruler of Omega. She directed me to the slums to find the salarian, Mordin Solus. He's trying to cure a plague that affects most races, but not humans. The price of his help was helping him cure the plague. Turns out the Collectors had a hand in it so it made good tactical sense to throw a wrench into their plans.

Yeah, this has crossed my mind for RP reasons. To me, it looks like Shepard did not survive. Period. There have just been clones hanging around. It makes more sense. The comment in Huerta about a VI driving around a body...yeah, that could make sense here.

What even is that face... Carter dealt with the QuarianxGeth drama yesterday, it ended peacefully, even if Carter was leaning more on the Quarian side. But it's nice to have those handsome Geth primes on his side. Then today he did the part of Leviathan that I was dreading the most. Still dread what's left of it, but not as much. But that underwater stroll is worth it, I know it. Also fought a banshee for the first time with a vanguard. I was not ready. I'm still not ready, so I've got no idea how Carter will make it out of that monastery he stumbled into. But he'll make it. Someone has faith in him I'm sure.

As you can see in the opening of ME2, it revitalizes cells. Nor would Wilson call it the most amazing medical breakthrough ever, if it was cloning. It's definitely silly.. but that's how I see it.

Yeah, this has crossed my mind for RP reasons. To me, it looks like Shepard did not survive. Period. There have just been clones hanging around. It makes more sense. The comment in Huerta about a VI driving around a body...yeah, that could make sense here. Lazarus isn't a cloning project though. As you can see in the opening of ME2, it revitalizes cells. Nor would Wilson call it the most amazing medical breakthrough ever, if it was cloning. It's definitely silly.. but that's how I see it. I think some dialogue or recording mentioned that the helmet kept Shepard's head brain intact. Not possible if the helmet is on Alchera. I can't think of a single reason why Liara, the Shadow Broker, Cerberus, or whoever it was that actually recovered Shepard's body would leave the helmet behind when retrieving the body. Best bet would be someone, after Shepard was taken to Cerberus, took it to Alchera to leave as a sort of memorial.

I hope you'll fight your way out! I was really surprised first time around that you could resolve the Q vs G peacefully. I thought it was either or deal. Was a nice feeling, eh?

I was insanely busy past week or so, so I didn't play any ME2. Now I am back.
William Shepard arrived on Tuchanka to help Grunt and Mordin. Shep talked to Wrex about his plans for Krogan after acquired information regarding Grunt and Maelon. Shep took Garrus and Mordin to find Maelon. After decimated many Blood Pack mercs and freed a captured Urdnot Scout, Shep and his team reached Maelon in his lab. Maelon came to Tuchanka voluntarily in an attempt to cure the Genophage. Mordin was outrage and wanted to kill Maelon until he was persuaded by Shep. Maelon was kicked out of the lab, Shep asked Mordin to save Maelon's research data.
Shep talked to the Urdnot Shaman about Grunt's Rite of Passage. Gatatog Uvenk protested against the decision to allow Grunt to participate in the rite, but he ultimately failed. Shep and the team killed some varrens, bugs and brought down a Thresher Maw. Uvenk showed up, attempted to recruit Grunt, but was killed in the end.
Before returning to Normandy, Shep roamed around Tuchanka, killed some Pyjacks, bet on a couple of varren fights and eavesdropped the conversation between Charr and Ereba.

I just finished playing the first Mass Effect for the first time. I found out it was backwards compatible for the Xbox One and I had just bought my own new used Xbox One and people have been bugging me to play the Mass Effect trilogy for quite a while now, so I bought the trilogy and played the first game... and then found out the other two games aren't backwards compatible. And I don't have a 360. -.- bleh.

The Story of Commander William Shepard continues.
Back on the Normandy, EDI informed Shep that the Reaper IFF was ready for shake down. As a precaution, Shep took his team and boarded a shuttle to somewhere else. There was a virus hidden in the IFF and the Collectors boarded the Normandy. Joker followed EDI's instructions and saved the ship. Unfortunately, the crew was all being taken by the Collectors. Shep and the team got back on Normandy, Jacob wanted to leave for Collector base immediately, but Shep knew that the crew was not ready.
Shep arrived on Omega to help Samara search and destroy her daughter, an Ardat-Yashi. After talked to Aria, Shep and Samara found a grieving mother. Her daughter had been murdered. After searched the apartment for clues, Shep went into Morinth's hunting ground alone. Shep beat up a Turian sexual predator, showed off his apparently terrible dance skills and told the bartender to gave everyone in the club a round on the house. These actions got Morinth's attention, so Shep and her talked about some stuff about arts, travel and drugs. Morinth invited Shep back to her apartment. Shep was able to resist Morinth and let Samara killed her. I personally don't understand why would anyone choose Morinth over Samara, but hey, it is your game, it is your choice. I am not here to judge.
Shep took Jack and Jacob to Pragia to destroy an old Cerberus biotic death camp. Shep and the team killed some Blood Pack mercs, spared a survivor of the facility and blow the whole place up. When they got back on Normandy, Jack went to have a talk with Miranda, luckily, Shep was able to dissolve the situation with a paragon action. (This is the beginning point where I really start to dislike Joker. Really? "Take pictures"?!! Talk about being unprofessional.)
Shep went to help Aria with a Krogan called The Patriarch. Apparently some mercs wanted him dead. Shep and the team talked to the sad old Krogan and took care of the mercs for him. Aria gave Shep the coordinates of a planet as payment for the job.
Commander Shepard landed on Alchera, the crash site of the original Normandy. Shep collected all 20 dog tags of the missing crew members, placed a monument and left.
Right now there are only Tali's and Legion's loyalty missions left, I'll finish them later tonight or tomorrow. I'll then launch the suicide mission and finish ME2. If I can finish the game tonight, I will start ME3 tomorrow.
