Mark Shepard (not to be confused with Domi's Mark Shepard):
Journal: I have to bring Miranda and Jacob with me because otherwise it's a solo mission. I don't think they'll stab me in the back, at least not just yet. I'm grateful to Miranda but everything I've heard on Wilson's video logs is true: she's a cold-hearted bitch. I doubt there will ever be any kind of trust between us. As for Jacob, he's a disgruntled ex-Alliance soldier which doesn't exactly earn him points in my book. I accomplished a lot with the Alliance backing me. Then again, I survived the slaughter of my family - my entire colony - and my choice was to either fold or move forward. He just seems to run away with things are too difficult. But we'll see. That's a snap judgment and he might turn out to be more than I expected.
Freedom's Progress: They said they'd have no problem following my orders. Yet as soon as I said the priority was the find survivors, Miranda immediately wanted to change my mind. Jacob seemed to take my side so we'll see how this works out.
Besides the empty buildings, the first thing we came across were more mechs running wild. Can't be a coincidence that this happened at the Lazarus Project and on Freedom's Progress. The next thing I found was a group of quarians being led by Tali'Zorah nar Rayya. Talk about strange coincidences. Her I could trust. The question was how to get her to come with me? However, her team wasn't so keen on Cerberus. Turns out Cerberus attacked a quarian ship and killed some of their people. Miranda predictably defended Cerberus. In any case, a quarian named Veetor had come to Freedom's Progress on his pilgrimage. He also wasn't abducted, which meant he had answers that had so far been unknown. Tali's squad decided to disobey orders and run ahead to grab Veetor and run. Turned out Veetor had programmed a heavy mech to defend him. Those quarians were all slaughtered but we were able to take out the mech.
When we talked to Veetor, we were able to see security footage. There were flying drones of some sort that immobilized the colonists. Then other aliens came in and hauled them away. Miranda identified them as the Collectors, but not much is known about them. Miranda wanted to take Veetor to the Illusive Man to find out what else he knew. Tali disagreed and I was right there with her. I saw what Cerberus did to people they took. I wasn't about to trust them, particularly if it might make things difficult between Tali and I. Instead, we got his omni-tool data, which gave us all he knew.
A Cerberus Base: Chatted with the Illusive Man. He suspected the Collectors but needed proof. He also had dossiers on potential team members. I wanted my old crew back but here's what I found out: Garrus went missing; Kaidan was promoted and his file was very well classified; Wrex hasn't left Tuchanka in two years; and Liara is apparently working for the Shadow Broker. I suggested Tali but he wouldn't agree until he knew more. That left my old squad mates off the table, at least for now.
Then he threw at me something which was surely a lure: Joker. Somehow, Cerberus managed to recruit him. Turned out the Alliance had grounded him, broke up the team, and basically sealed away all references to the Reapers. And despite seeing all the shit Cerberus has pulled back when we were fighting Saren, he still agreed to work for them. That's treason. No idea how he'll get out of that one. Even me, who hasn't signed on to officially work for them, could potentially face charges. Assuming I survive what's coming.
The final kicker was a new ship, a larger, updated version of the Normandy. It was unnamed but the "SR2" painted on the side suggested one. We christened it the Normandy SR-2 and went off in search of our first recruit.
Normandy SR-2: It was beautiful inside. First up I met the ship's AI, EDI. I knew Joker wouldn't like it but I thought it would be an advantage. However, EDI made clear "she" (it sounds like a "she" at least) doesn't run anything other than the cyberwarefare suites during combat. I also chose the one outfit I could find that didn't have the Cerberus logo all over it. It wasn't my usual style, looking more like something Chakwas would wear, but it was going to have to do until I found something better.
I just got the damn ship but already had messages. Anderson had tracked me down and wanted to see me. That was high on the agenda for me. Mentioned meeting with a merc named Zaeed Massani. That could wait. A missing Cerberus survey ship could definitely wait. The dog tags at the SR-1 crash site on Alchera were a big priority. A Cerberus cell off the grid is low in interest to me. Meeting a thief named Kasumi Goto sounded interesting. Info on armor and weapons was interesting, though I'm sure most of the armor was never going to find its way onto my body.
Talked to Jacob some more. He acknowledges that Cerberus has rightly been called terrorists. That goes in the plus column. Still, he knowingly joined a terrorist organization so that's a minus. Still haven't made up my mind about him, especially since he seems more concerned with the long term good image of Cerberus. Remember, he KNOWS they're terrorists but wants them to look good by defeating the Collectors.

dmc1001 : Heh, I noticed the namesakes as well. I am going for Mark Ryder as well. RedCaesar97 : Yes, that's what I ended up doing, a small side mission, that triggered Legion's loyalty quest, and after that, the first time I traveled, the Jeff's mission initiated itself, so no more confusion! I took Tali and Legion to deal with the Heritics, and that felt pretty much like cheating, because hardly anyone ever had a chance to shoot in our direction, between AI Hacks and the Drones. Mark maxed out his Renegade score by first supporting brainwashing the Heritics, and then blowing them up. Which, awesomely, made all surviving Geth personified by Legion his friends. With the raw charisma like that, Mark is all set to dominate the Reapers!!! I really love Jeff's mission, because Joker is the best, and we ended up safely crash-landing on the Collector's Home World, having flown through the Omega 4 with flying colors, while Jack was keeping Mark company. And so, there we go, Mark's now stands ready to go kick Collectors to the curb, accompanied by the crew hand-picked to destroy Miranda. Meta-gaming at its best! Plus, Legion looks mighty fine, and he has no reason to object to Miranda's long-coveted demise! After I get that last push done, I might give DA:O another chance. The ME3 is a big part of the story, with a lot of nuanced cutscenes, so I am tempted to do the whole game over my Christmas break, so I don't have a few day gaps between the plays and can catch details better. I've also been playing MP a lot (well, for me) and it's a blast! Hoping to get into the gold games in a few weeks.

Adept Shepard on insanity...
First up today, I experienced the 'joys' of planet scanning so that Shepard can meddle in other people's private affairs on the Citadel. This ended up taking a good 45 minutes .
Anyway afterwards, Shepard decided to act upon Wrex's tip off about Rachni activity. Shepard encountered Grunt who is the only Krogan that Shepard seems to get on with. The Rachni presence was confirmed but Shepard was unsurprised considering he'd encountered them on Tuchanka. The Rachni Queen had gotten captured so it was up to Shepard to decide her fate once again. Shepard decided to free the Queen so he has betrayed Aralakh company twice over (sabotaging the cure and sacrificing the Krogan lives). I've just realised that by the end of the game, the Krogan would probably absolutely loathe Shepard because he hasn't done anything positive for their species . Grunt survived the Rachni attack and can now sing the praises of how Aralakh company went out in a blaze of glory.
Shepard decided to take his mind off the Krogan by taking Liara and Kaidan to the place when all the craziness began... Eden Prime. They pried open a pod to unleash a force of nature known as Javik. Cerberus was pushed back by the local resistance.
Shepard decided to take the fight to Cerberus once again. There's rumours of Cerberus scientist defectors on Gellix so Shepard will investigate this in due course (probably in a few weeks months time from now, given my ultra slow progress )

After getting the IFF, the Normandy crew abduction will not trigger if you still have unrecruited squadmates or open loyalty quests. You will need to complete 1-3 sidequests to trigger the abduction sequence (the exact number of Mission Complete screens needed will vary) Is it only recruitment and loyalty missions that are taken into account? What about N7 assignments or DLC missions? I ask because I'm considering a future playthrough in which I recruit neither Thane nor Samara (to be played next year probably), and I'm wondering how best to organize mission order.

Only recruitment and loyalty missions are taken into account when determining how many missions are required to complete after getting the IFF and the Collector abduction. N7 missions are definitely not taken into account. (If everyone is recruited and everyone 's loyalty mission is done after getting the IFF, the Collectors will abduct the crew. Note that after getting the IFF, you need to speak to Legion to get his loyalty mission so the abduction is delayed for one mission.)

Mark Shepard:
Normandy SR-2: Still making the rounds for the first time. Met Engineers Ken Donnelly and Gabby Daniels. Seems like they're ex-Alliance who left because they thought my memory was being railroaded. The Alliance broke up my old squad and shut down all talk of the Reapers. It didn't sit well with Donnelly. Daniels followed him when he left. They seem to be in the dark about Cerberus which I suppose makes sense given that it's a former Alliance black ops organization. The Alliance wouldn't want too much information about them out there since it would implicate them. They seem to know their stuff as far as engineering goes. We'll see how they stack up to Adams...or Tali, for that matter.
I was surprised to see Doctor Chakwas on the medical bay. She has been reassigned planetside somewhere and didn't care for it. She was recruited specifically to work for me and, in her eyes, she isn't part of Cerberus. If my count is right, five of us could be court-martialed should we survive the mission. I believe working with Cerberus is considered treason. Still, she's a friendly face and the only one I trust so far.
This ship has a cook. Never had that on any other ship I've served on. Nice.
Miranda is my XO, like it or not, so we had a chat in her officer/quarters. She was a lot more open this time than she had been before Freedom's Progress. Based on our conversation she unwillingly underwent massive genetic modifications to turn her into a powerful biotic who is physically perfect. Her skintight outfit shows off exactly how perfect she is. I still don't trust her but at least we don't have to be hissing at each other.
While more doors than I care for are locked to me, one that isn't leads to my cabin. It's nothing like my quarters on the SR-1. There's an aquarium! It's empty, but still. The bed is definitely large enough to be shared. Too bad I have no one to share it with right now. It's also got cases for model ships, as though Cerberus knows my interests. One thing that bugs me is the picture of Kaidan on the desk. It's not that I don't want it there so much as I'm disturbed that the Illusive Man knows enough about me to put it there.
Joker loves the new ship, and the leather seats. Hates EDI, which was predictable. Speaking of EDI, I tried to probe her for information but she has a lot of information sealed off from her. That is, it's there but she can't access it. Cerberus secrets, which is why I can't trust them beyond the common goal of stopping the Collector and Reaper threat.
Rounding out the crew is Yeoman Kelly Chambers. She's quite the cutie. Her job of flagging my messages seems pointless except that she also has a psychology degree. Her secondary job is to evaluate crew stress levels.

Jackie, Erin, Jen, and Kim Shepard: 1. Assaulted Cerberus Headquaters.
2. Came across some terminals that explained more about Project Lazarus, EDI, Kai Leng, and The Illusive Man.
3. Found the Prothean VI. Learned that the Catalyst was actually the Citadel, and that it had been moved to Earth. Wonderful.
4. Was attacked by Kai Leng. Stabbed him to death. (Jackie, who romanced Thane, was particularly satisfied at this moment.)
5. Back on the Normandy, talked to the crew before preparing to head to Earth.

Miriam Shepard helped Liara... Received a distress call from the moon Sinmara while exploring the Caleston Rift. Solar radiation shield had malfunctioned, endangering research station. Got the radiation shield back online. Ordered the Normandy to Illium to deliver Cerberus intel regarding the Shadow Broker to Liara. Helped her uncover the identity of a Broker operative, the "Observer"; turned out to be her own PA. Liara took Cerberus data back to her home to study; took a cab there with Thane and Jack. Liara's home was a crime scene following an attempted hit. Detective in charge was dismissed by asari Spectre agent Tela Vasir. Searched apartment with Vasir, determined that Liara had fled scene to meet a contact at Dracon Trade Centre. Accompanied Vasir in her car. Trade Centre bombed by Shadow Broker agents. Entered via main entrance with Thane and Jack, encountered resistance from Shadow Broker troops (similar tactics to Eclipse mercs). Found Liara's contact dead from gunshot wound, Vasir already at scene. Interrupted by sudden appearance of Liara who identified Vasir as assassin, double agent working for Broker. Vasir fled with data disk taken from Liara's contact. "Borrowed" a taxi to pursue Vasir's car through Nos Astra with Liara and Jack. Forced Vasir down on the roof of Azure hotel. Fought through Broker troops, chased Vasir down. Vasir took a human hostage; saved hostage with Liara's help, then neutralized Vasir (first opponent so far with L5n implants). Intel from Liara's contact pinpointed Shadow Broker's base at Halagaz in the Hourglass Nebula. Spoke to Liara before departing; her vendetta against the Broker started two years ago when her friend Feron was captured during their investigation into the Broker's links with the Collectors. Shadow Broker's base turned out to be a colossal vessel in flight over Halagaz, hidden from observers by lightning storm. Infiltrated base with Liara and Jack; met heavy resistance from troops and mechs while decrypting lock on secured hatch. Met only light resistance inside base; majority of troops apparently deployed to Illium and base exterior. Found Feron in shackles, suffered electric shocks when spoken to. Proceeded to operations centre, confronted Shadow Broker, a yahg who likely took over as Shadow Broker after killing his predecessor. Broker's physical strength formidable, and also equipped with omni-shield. (Suspect Broker infiltration of Alliance N7 "Paladin" programme). Neutralized Broker with Liara's assistance; release Feron's shackles. Liara assumed control of Broker's information network. Useful asset; but fear that this will lead her further down a dark path. [Being my first play session for a few days, I derped a few times during the combat in the trade centre. After that, this was a fun and easy set of missions for a vanguard. The fight with the waves of mercs in the car park atop Azure was particularly fun. When fighting Vasir, I just Charged into her, took a shot or two, then she Charged away, so I Charged back at her, rinse and repeat until her armour was gone. She ended up Shockwaved over the edge of the building The base exterior was around a 2:1 split between cautious shooting from cover and Charging. I wondered whether I'd struggle against the Broker, but he was pretty easy. Used the geth plasma shotgun to drop his shields, and incendiary ammo for his armour. Stayed in cover until he rushed me, then started Charging. During the third wave, I ran out of GPS ammo so switched to the Tempest and had fun circle-strafing around him, Charging whenever possible to refill shields.]

Finished the game with Jack today. Started with the Citadel party, which I had been avoiding since I did not feel ready to look Wrex in the eye after I realized I missed the bomb mission and Eve was most likely resting in pieces.
Luckily, he did not mention it and the party went swimmingly even if I felt tempted to summon an adult at some points. Man Jack put his hands in inappropriate places when talking to Vega and Lady Jack made sure that Steve would never eat off Anderson's table again. But otherwise things were good. The party went quiet-loud-loud.
Then it was time to sit in TIM's chair and die around 6 times via Kai Leng. Good thing Cerberus doesn't have the reload button. I blame Garrus and Edi, since when they finally deigned to use their powers Kai Leng's butt was kicked into outer space! Also, seeing a Phantom go from full barrier to chunky bits of meat and blood in around 5 seconds is ridiculously nice.
The visit Earth went fine. Did not get space cuddle time with Liara, but I suppose getting the capsule was nice enough. Wrex also did not mention anything bad happening to Eve, only that she was pregnant. Not sure if it made things better or worse.
Battery defense took two tries, first time Jack got gunned down by Marauders before reaching the cutscene activation button. Garrus questioned Shepard's solo capabilities at the beam, having seen how badly he did one mission ago. Luckily Liara had not been present so she followed Shepard's order and dragged Garrus away kicking and screaming. Final push also took two tries, and once more the cause was that pesky Marauder.
Jack was not the uber paragon, so he had to use a Renegade interrupt at the end. As usual, Destroy was picked. Happy ending mods kicked in. All was good. Except I felt a bit sad since I realized that the Keepers will probably not be chilling around in Andromeda. Also it seems that Eve was fine? So I can't strike that off the "Yet to do list". That's also kind of sad. But Jack's run is done. So it's all good.

Curious Crow I think the only way Eve dies is if you don't save Maelon's data. Letting the bomb go off destroys your krogan war assets but doesn't affect Eve. [speaking as someone who has never let the bomb go off and didn't have the data only in a non-import, so I could be wrong]

[speaking as someone who has never let the bomb go off and didn't have the data only in a non-import, so I could be wrong] Eve goes to talk to the clans in the Kelphic Valley if she survives Tuchanka. The bomb goes off there and according to the Wiki it is supposed to turn a lot of Krogan women (including Eve) and babies into chunks. My guess is that maybe some of the mods that I installed snuck to Tuchanka and kicked those Cerberus buns into space/ stopped the variables from setting. Probably that Happy ending one, it seems to dislike my tears.

Karen Shepard, Soldier (Shock Trooper), ME1 NG+:
Feros: The Prothean Skyway
Shepard, Liara, and Tali hopped into the Mako and set out on the Prothean Skyway towards ExoGeni headquarters. A Geth Dropship set various geth ambushes along the way, but the team dealt with them with relative ease. They eventually arrived at a weigh station were they found some ExoGeni personnel who had fled the HQ when the geth attacked and were hiding out while waiting for help from ExoGeni head office.
Juliana Baynham, one of the ExoGeni staff, asked Shepard to look for her daughter, Lizbeth, who had been trapped at HQ when the geth attacked and had been left behind. Shepard agreed to search for her, despite the prospects for her survival being slim (hopefully she had found a good hiding place). Juliana also provided some info about the colony, but like everyone Shepard had talked to she had no idea what the geth were after.
Ethan Jeong, on the other hand, seemed to know more that he was letting on. An ExoGeni executive (he seemed to be the one in charge), Jeong seemed more concerned with preventing Shepard from looking at "classified" information at ExoGeni HQ than he was about saving the lives of the colonists. If Shepard hadn't already suspected that ExoGeni was up to something on Feros, Jeong's comments would have confirmed it, so he probably would have been better off keeping his mouth shut (not that it would have made much difference). At any rate, Shepard was now convinced that answers would be found at ExoGeni's offices.
Another ExoGeni employee named Gavin asked Shepard to look for some important data at the ExoGeni offices; Shepard agreed to keep an eye out.
The ground team got back into the Mako and continued on towards ExoGeni. More geth ambushes were defeated. They also overheard some suspicious transmissions from someone regarding "securing a package", but whoever it was ran into the geth and didn't survive.
They finally arrived at ExoGeni HQ and defeated the geth guarding the entrance. When they attempted to enter the building itself, however, they found a barrier similar to the one that had trapped Liara on Therum was blocking the door. They would have to look for another way in.

Note that after getting the IFF, you need to speak to Legion to get his loyalty mission so the abduction is delayed for one mission.) Thank you for answering my question. Sorry to bother you again, I have one more question. Is it possible to trigger the abduction sequence by flying straight to the Omega-4 relay even if there are still missions left that the game would allow the player to do, or is one obliged to play missions until the abduction sequence is triggered by the game?

Mark Shepard:
Normandy SR-2: Found some new casual wear. Alliance wear. (Thanks to RCW ME2 Mod Manager + Adam's Casual Appearance Mod. Hate Cerberus clothes.)
Omega: Not my instinct to go where the Illusive Man and Miranda suggest but they had a point. Mordin Solus was going to be the one to find a way to protect us from the Collector swarms. The sooner he got to work on that the better our chances. So, Omega. Definitely worse than the Mos Eisley Spaceport when it comes to scum and villainy.
When I stepped on board, someone tried to tell me I had to speak with his boss, Aria, before doing anything else. So when I saw a merc punching a batarian in the gut, I let myself get sidetracked. This was Zaeed Massani. Cerberus hired him to assist on my mission. Don't think I like him very much. I mean, what good is money if you go on a mission that is very likely to kill you? Wants me to help him take down the head of the Blue Suns. Sounds reasonable to me.
Thanks to EDI, I learned exactly where to find Mordin. Went straight to the slums, which was quarantined due to a plague. Funny this is that humans are immune to it. I talked the turian guard into allowing myself, Zaeed and Miranda in. He figured we could handle ourselves and we did say we'd help. Still haven't talk to Aria. Still don't trust anyone in my squad. If only Tali could have come...
Despite my better judgment I helped out a batarian plague victim. Medi-gel made him a little more comfortable and gave me information about where to find Mordin Solus. I'm not very sympathetic to batarians. I know why they hate humans and I sure don't like them given that they slaughtered or enslaved my entire colony. I also don't know if there can ever be peace between us. But if it's possible, I have to start somewhere.
Some humans I met mentioned that the vorcha were slowly taking over Blue Suns territory as the plague wiped them out. Looks like a link. Sure enough, I encountered a bunch of well-armed vorcha. Also stopped some looters. Threats of violence work well.
Finally made it to Mordin. He deduced we were from Cerberus on his own, though one of his reasons was that Spectres aren't human. Obviously, he was out of the loop about me. In any case, I made a deal with him. I help rescue his assistant and get the plague cure into the currently disabled fan system and he'd help me against the Collectors. I'd have helped anyway but I took the deal. Turns out the Collectors are likely behind the plague and used the vorcha to distribute it. Gotta say I like this guy already, particularly the part where he mentioned he used to be part of the salarian STG and so is good in a fight as well as in the lab.
Found Daniel. Once again, I spared some batarians. Sure, I told them I'd kill them if they killed him but I got what I wanted. I also try very hard to be a man of my word. Then made my way to the environmental control center. Killed a lot of vorcha and a few krogan but was able to place the cure so that it would be dispersed through the now functioning fans. True to his word, Mordin joined us. I felt good about this one.
Finally talked to Aria T'Loak. She's the boss around Omega. In looking for Archangel, she directed me to a recruiting center. Apparently Archangel pissed off all the gangs on Omega and had teamed up to take him out. I allowed myself to be recruited so I could get close without any hassle.

Been working on finishing my ME2 adept "minimalist" game.
I think I will end up doing 8 LMs. Also I think I might be able to squeak into the SM at level 29 so Samara can use Area Reave... although I can't use her for the last section if I also take Miri (not enough HTL score).

Miriam Shepard destroyed lots and lots of toasters... Ordered the Normandy to Aite in the Phoenix Massing cluster to investigate why Overlord, a Cerberus VI research project, had gone silent. Landed the Hammerhead at Hermes, one of the four Overloard stations, with tech specialist Tali and Cerberus observer Miranda. Contacted by lead researcher Dr Gavin Archer on entering the station; received instructions to shut down main antenna to prevent rogue VI from transmitting itself off-world. Found evidence of a firefight, the staff slaughtered. Encountered resistance from geth units with green optics; noticed the same green light from security cameras and VI interface panels, with occasional appearances by the VI's avatar, accompanied by blasts of static. Antenna control was locked down by VI; resorted to physical destruction of antenna. Met with Dr Archer while Tali and Miranda attended to the research staff's bodies. Learned that Overlord was an attempt to control geth by tapping into their religious inclinations using a VI interface, but it failed when Archer's brother David, the test subject, was unable to control it. VI had assumed direct control of Overlord station Atlas, requiring lockdown protocols at stations Vulcan and Prometheus to be released manually. (Yet another example of Cerberus' arrogance. Quarians unable to regain control of geth after three centuries of trying). Flew Hammerhead to geothermal station Vulcan. Encountered light resistance from Cerberus security mechs under VI control. Lockdown control system guarded by single LOKI mech; neutralized it with a headshot. Flew Hammerhead to Prometheus, a grounded geth dropship used as a source of test subjects. Neutralized external defences using Hammerhead's main cannon. Released lockdown; VI activated geth units in retaliation. (Predictable retaliation foreshadowed by inactive Prime unit near entrance to dropship). Flew Hammerhead to Atlas station. Encountered resistance from VI causing deliberate malfunctions to security doors and elevators. VI uploaded to Lazarus cybernetic implants, permitting limited communication; learned that David Archer still semi-conscious within VI, an autistic savant with limited understanding of geth communication, and that Gavin Archer forcibly connected him to VI. Located VI control room, neutralized it before it could upload to Normandy SR-2. Found David integrated into VI systems, in clear physical and emotional distress. Disconnected him and arranged for transport to Alliance's Grissom Academy for care and rehabilitation. Back aboard Normandy, flew back to Halagaz to catch up with Liara. She seems better, embracing her new life but hopefully not corrupted by it. Invited her for a tour of the Normandy and a drink. [Ugh, Hammerhead combat is just awful, I wasted so much time playing chicken with Cerberus turrets. My only deaths in this play session were in the Hammerhead sections. The geth were easy, perhaps I ought to check that this really is still set on Hardcore Vanguarding versus geth never gets old, even got to bumrush some Primes after thinning the crowd at longer range. Tali's AI hacking was really useful too. In my first playthrough, I needed two attempts to beat the VI at the end, and brought the Cain this time in case I needed to take it out in one hit if the upload was about to go through. It turned out to be easy, just used the Mattock to destroy the VI nodes, then incendiary GPS shots against the core when it was exposed.]

The abduction sequence must be triggered by the game. Remember, they are still installing the Reaper IFF after you get it from the derelict Reaper. The abduction sequence is triggered when it is installed and they want to test it, forcing you to take your squaddies to 'the next mission', leaving the Normandy open to the Collector abduction.

If you already have the achievement for collecting all the Cerberus data packets, there is no reason to stick around fighting turrets. Just go to the next mission, or just go right on past the turrets that pop up during the route to Vulcan Station. I would not waste my time on the turrets otherwise.

Erin, Jackie, Jen, and Kim Shepard: 1. Trekked through No Man's Land.
2. Defended tanks from Reaper forces.
3. Helped destroy a Reaper Destroyer with Thanix missiles.
4. Ran to a beam, got shot by Harbinger. Made it to the beam anyway.
5. Anderson, Illusive Man, glowing AI thing, choices, blah blah blah
6. Chose destroy.
And with those endings, that may be the end of my trilogy playtroughs. (Although fraggle's Infiltrator videos got me itching for a shotgun Infiltrator again. But maybe another time.)

Miriam Shepard obtained a Reaper IFF module... Picked up geth communications signals from the planet Canalus while exploring the Pylos Nebula. Landed at the site with Zaeed and Kasumi. Visibility greatly limited due to atmospheric conditions; primary L5n "Charge" biotic technique therefore risky. Fell back to secondary L5n "Shockwave" and "Pull" biotic techniques. Neutralized geth presence in spite of limited visibility and deactivated weather modification device. Ordered the Normandy to the brown dwarf Mnemosyne in the Hawking Eta cluster to recover the IFF device from a derelict Reaper being studied by Cerberus. Obtaining this should permit safe travel through the Omega-4 relay. Reaper's mass effect core still active, but no signs of "life". Observed a geth vessel alongside the Reaper. Boarded the Reaper with Garrus and Jack. Recovered logs recorded by Cerberus staff; clear evidence of indoctrination. Found some corpses, but no immediate evidence of Cerberus survivors. Encountered massive resistance from relentless waves of husks; further in, observed "dragon's teeth" with Cerberus corpses impaled. Entire research team apparently indoctrinated and transformed into husks. Employed full range of L5n abilities to control husk mobs. Reaper's kinetic barriers came online, altering mission parameters. Observed a number of husks killed by precise headshots. Sniper was a lone geth operative: spoke in English to Normandy party; was addressed by name. Lone operation and verbal communication never observed in geth before; suspect Reaper involvement. Recovered IFF module. Proceeded to engine room, encountered geth sniper attempting to shut down mass effect core to release kinetic barriers; geth unit was disabled by husk mob. Neutralized remaining husks and disabled mass effect core. Loss of engine power caused Reaper orbit to destabilize; Normandy crew performed emergency evacuation of boarding party. Recovered geth unit. Jacob recommended spacing it; Miranda suggested turning over to Cerberus. Will leave it deactivated for now; Tali's father and Project Overlord still fresh in memory; geth have been repeatedly proven too dangerous to deal with. Very reluctant to surrender it to Cerberus given their history with dangerous experiments. [So. Many. Husks. Charge, Shockwave and Pull are all superb for dealing with them, but the mobs got near-overwhelming at times. In my Sentinel playthrough, I remember just letting them mob me until the tech armour blew and took them all out. In this playthrough, I did die a few times when under pressure from Scions; found myself staggerlocked and couldn't activate Charge or Geth Shield Boost to get out of trouble. Got through those sections by falling back and waiting for the Scions to come to me. Then I could press onwards and deal with the next husk spawn without worrying about the Scions as well. Garrus and Jack perhaps weren't the best choice of squadmates, but hey, I wanted to take them I took some shakycam footage of the final scene. This is unrehearsed: My camera only has enough memory for three minutes of footage, so I didn't get the whole scene. While I had the camera out, I reloaded a save from a couple of days ago and recorded the Shadow Broker fight: That's quite a nice one with a few decent shots of Miriam's face. Quick straw poll: PM me if you'd be interested in watching longer, higher-quality gameplay clips. Not full playthroughs, mind, just highlights. No promises, but if people would like to watch me play, I'll consider it.]

The abduction sequence must be triggered by the game. Thanks for the reply. Okay, I'll bear that in mind if I do another playthrough. [Ugh, Hammerhead combat is just awful, I wasted so much time playing chicken with Cerberus turrets. My only deaths in this play session were in the Hammerhead sections If you already have the achievement for collecting all the Cerberus data packets, there is no reason to stick around fighting turrets. This did occur to me... after I'd spent all the time on the turrets Another thing to remember for next time!

Well, Mark#2 Shepard finaly renegaded his way through the ending. And, Miranda did die. I went in the final, finale, the very final battle with her and Mordin, and use Mornith to hold the barrier. Everything was really cool! Had my doubts about it, but ah, well, handed over the Collector's Base to Cerberus.
I even ended up porting Mark into ME3 and sitting through the game intro to see how he's going to look! he's lost each and every one of his scars, and aged a little bit, but overall, looks every bit as he did in ME2. So, I am pretty happy about that. Not sure if I am going with the playthrough or stopping for now.
I am miffed that the game did not let me pick Reave again in ME3 as my bonus power!
