Loaded up my ME2 save and visited the Normandy crash site again. There is a strange glitch when you place the memorial at any random spot. You fall through the ground and die out of nowhere. Might go on Mass Effect and try to make a face again. On a side note, making a custom face is hard, at least for me. I'm always a stickler when it comes to this. Custom faces can look too plasticy with a dead panned stare. There's also trying to make sure there's as much consistency from ME1 to ME3 as possible. ME3 is always the wild card with this. It's very possible for your Shep to look good in ME1 & 2, then look like crap in ME3.

- Went to Zorya to finally take care of what Cerberus promised Zaeed, help him liberate a refinery. Things of course weren't as simple. That mad man set the refinery on fire just to get to his once-buddy, Vido Santiago. Elly wouldn't have it and saved the workers trapped in the burning refinery. Vido got away, but Zaeed eventually saw reason and will postpone his personal mission until after the Collectors are taken care of. - Tali has been accused of treason and put on trial. Elly and Tali found out that her father was to blame, since he did some horrible things aboard one of the quarians' ships using geth parts that Tali sent him. Things that Tali wanted to be swept under the rug. Elly honoured her friend's wish and held a big speech about why Tali should not be exiled. It worked. - Went to the Citadel and helped two very friendly asari get back to Thessia. - Checked out what was going on at one of Cerberus's facilities. A sick attempt of making an autistic boy communicate with the geth by using him to create a hybrid VI, an experiment performed by none other than his own brother Gavin Archer. While it did work, Elly couldn't believe that Archer would do something like that to his only brother. She took David away so he could have a better life at Grissom Academy. - Samara told Elly more about the fugitive she's been hunting. Her own daughter, and that she is on Omega. Elly set course right away so they could get her, and they were successful. Elly played bait and Morinth invited her to her apartment. Elly was unsure about just killing her, but after seeing first-hand what an Ardat-Yakshi could do with her mind - Elly felt like she would've done everything for Morinth in these moments - it did feel like a safer choice to kill her. She needed a drink after that and promptly got poisoned by a batarian. After recovering she went back to the bar and a turian shot that asshole after he learned that he poisoned customers. - It was a rough time and Elly needed some more drinks. Sitting there thinking how she did all these things for everyone, yet pushed one thing away from her over and over - visiting the Normandy's crash site. She was always good at suppressing thoughts on tough things she didn't want to do, but after they got the Reaper IFF, who knew how much time they would still have. She decided to get it over with and face her demons. It hit her hard, seeing all the pieces, remembering everything, everyone. Ashley, Pressly, how Joker wouldn't leave, leading to her death. Her disconnect with Kaidan. Her time with Kaidan aboard the SR-1. She still missed him. She missed him so much it hurt, and she had made a terrible mistake. Jacob should have filled the void Kaidan left, but now Elly just felt guilt. Guilt for betraying her feelings for Kaidan, guilt she just used Jacob to still her loneliness, guilt she toyed with both of them. Elly vowed to stop flirting with Jacob, hoping it would all go away. She was sure though she wouldn't get away that easy... - She made one last stop before getting the Reaper IFF, to say Goodbye to Liara. They spent some lovely time aboard the Normandy, and Elly was finally ready to go get that IFF. Pics I've had yet another very amusing bug! On the Alarei, in the room shortly before finding Tali's father, the game must've thought my drone is Shepard, because when I spawned it into the geth by the door, the cutscene started and afterwards, all geth except the one on the balcony were gone Maybe this is common, but I've never had it, haha! Also had that bug when Kasumi thinks Shepard broke up with Jacob, oh well

ME3 is always the wild card with this. It's very possible for your Shep to look good in ME1 & 2, then look like crap in ME3. Years ago I started to create Shepards in ME3 first, then transfer the code to ME1 sliders, and that worked out when I eventually imported into ME3 (and if not, I had the code with which I was satisfied enough) With MELE it's even easier since all 3 games use the code system now. Finished off ME2 - Managed to get the IFF from the dead Reaper, and also an additional surprise out of it. A friendly geth. Elly decided to activate it to see why it helped them aboard the Reaper. Elly learned that the geth following Saren were heretics, and that more friendly geth were out there, a very interesting info piece for her. Elly has always been fascinated by AIs, and now she had a chance to learn even more about them.
- After talking to the geth - Legion - Elly helped it destroy a heretic space station with the help of Jacob. Rewriting the geth there wasn't an option, better safe than sorry. Afterwards, she broke up a fight between Legion and Tali.
- The IFF was ready and needed to be tested, so EDI threw Elly and squad mates off the ship. It didn't go as planned since all crew except Joker got abducted, and Joker and the Normandy were only fine because he unshackled EDI and it helped out a great deal. Elly trusts it... her... a great deal. - Elly decided they were prepared enough to go after the crew, and retreated to her cabin until arriving at the Omega 4 relay. She must've dozed off because she had a wild dream about Jacob and her... she woke up, startled, and tried to work some more. But Jacob eventually did come to see her. It would've been great to work off stress if not for Elly's continuing guilt. Regret about her decisions hit her, but she didn't want to hurt Jacob either, so she teased him some more and wiggled her way out, telling Jacob they best leave this for after their mission. Chances were slim they'd all make it, but Elly wanted to believe there was still hope for all of them. - But not soon in they lost Jack, she was dead right away. It hurt, but they had to pull through. And they did. They managed to rescue the crew, kill more Collectors on the way, destroy a humanised Reaper and blow up the base sky-high without any more casualties. Then Elly told the Illusive Man she quit. Finally free of working with Cerberus. She was still grateful she was able to stop the Collectors due to their help, but she would have never admitted that in front of the Illusive Man.
- Now that everything was taken care of, the crew back and the squad mates happy that Elly blew up the base, she went to break out Admiral Hackett's friend Kenson from a batarian prison. Things didn't go exactly as planned though, and now Kenson's dead, a relay smashed so that Reapers wouldn't pour through any minute, and a whole batarian system destroyed... Elly had a lot to answer for and she came willingly. She barely managed to say Goodbye to Jacob, leaving things still hanging between them. She hoped she could muster the courage to explain one day.
Pics Interesting that it still counts as romancing Jacob if you're not going through with the final scene. There was no option to still break it off after with Jacob (I wouldn't have done it anyway, since Elly is a bit of a coward But it's interesting nonetheless. So now I guess I have to apologise to Kaidan for cheating when barely anything happened ). The reason why Elly pursued Jacob was simply born out of the wish to get the last Paramour trophy now My boyfriend had the idea to treat the road to the prize trophy as a dream and I thought it was kinda funny to do that Gameplay-wise the squaddies bugged out again here and there, as usual, I feel as if it's getting rather annoying with MELE. Might go back to the original trilogy on PS3 someday, just to compare a bit

Alright, went on ME1 this morning to test a custom face, which was created in ME3 first. The pictures below are just a "test" Shepard, or prototype. Still a work in progress. Subject to change. If this works out, she'll have the same Name, backstory, classes, and choices. She'll be a Vanguard in ME1, a Soldier in ME2, and an Infiltrator in ME3. Despite the circumstances, she'll still be using a shotgun as her primary weapon, even in ME3. In ME2, I'm going to pick the Claymore instead of the Widow. I want to make it look as though the shotgun is still her preferred weapon. Wow will have to try and remember to do that, she looks bad ass - no takin' prisoners with her.

- Elly sat in detention when she was fetched by James. Then everything went fast. She met Anderson, spoke in front of the committee, then the Reapers came down on them. The day long dreaded, finally here. The Normandy picked Elly up, Anderson stayed. Elly, Kaidan and James were ordered to go to the Mars Archives. - After quite a bit of hassle with Cerberus, a Cerberus bot, stolen data, a shuttle crash and Kaidan being hurt, Liara too was back on the Normandy and they had some data on some sort of weapon the Protheans tried to built to defeat the Reapers. They went to present their findings about the weapon to the Council, but not before Elly paid Kaidan a visit. She was deeply distressed about seeing him like that. But no time to dwell on that now. Bumped into Dr. Chakwas as well who is now back on the Normandy. - The Council meeting didn't go as Elly hoped, but the turian Councilor at least proposed to get their primarch off of Palaven's moon for a summit between various races. The primarch was dead, but they found the successor, met Garrus along the way and now Elly has two Turians on board. And EDI in a robot body. - Another new crew addition, Samantha Traynor, caught something suspicious. Elly went to inspect it right away and thanks to this, they were able to evacuate lots of students and Kahlee Sanders from Grissom Academy before Cerberus could get them all. Elly is appalled by what the Illusive Man is doing. At least she could also save David Archer once more, who seems to be doing very well since he was rescued from that horrifying experiment on Aite. - Elly could've used a drink right now, but Kaidan had been awake and she returned to the Citadel to take care of some business there and to see Kaidan. She met Thane in the hospital. He doesn't have that long anymore, but Elly is glad he seems to be doing alright. Just like Kaidan did. They had a really nice talk and Elly was glad there might even be a future for them. If not for the Reapers oblitering people right now, Elly would be over the moon. - Afterwards, she briefly caught up with Miranda, then went to help a salarian spectre take down an indoctrinated hanar, which all tied to Kasumi leaking information from Keiji's graybox. Elly dangled a carrot in front of Kasumi and now she helps out with the Crucible. Elly also delivered some things she found along the way and bumped into Kelly Chambers. She was still deeply traumatised to what had happened to her, but Elly was glad she found something that kept her busy. She still told her to change her identity. Better play it safe with this Cerberus scum. - After everything was taken care of, Elly followed James's proposal to meet up at the bar. Finally some drinks. Mars/Citadel business Grissom More Citadel business Yay, my fish! (Also caught my hamster earlier ) Badassery Onto some drinking! It's super interesting that despite the game saying that Elly romanced Jacob in ME2, Kaidan didn't accuse her of cheating. I was really surprised about that and it's kinda cool there's another small branching path there if you don't go through with the love scene in ME2 Also, I still really like Grissom Academy without Jack. Sometimes it's hard because I love Jack as well, but the atmosphere is so different with her not around. It's sad that Prangley dies though no matter what. Could've maybe made a tiny choice which either lets him live or die at the end ("No you idiot, don't go for Rodriguez!" *RENEGADE INTERRUPT*). My build is coming along nicely and I can't remember any deaths... I am going for another Multiplayer inspired build, Female Quarian Engineer with Incinerate, Cryo Blast and the Turret Too bad I can't have Disruptor Ammo for this (which I always used in MP), but since later taking Kaidan and possibly EDI with me there's no shortage of Overload action Now only to get the Carnifex asap...

After several months of not playing ME and just recently updating all the mods, I decided to play ME3. The main reason is because I downloaded Project Variety mod. It's a big mod.To make sure it works I have to play through everything in ME3 to make sure it works properly. I also downloaded a mod for the dream sequences. I have some screenshots on the mod thread, if interested. Anyways. Fortunately I have an ME2 save, with all squadmates surviving, Wrex is alive and few other things to get the full effect of the mod. I've played up to where Victus is on the SR2. I could have taken some, actually a crap load oof screenshots with the changes the mod offers, but it would be easier to mention a few things and post some screenshots. The dialogue between Anderson and Shepard after talking to the kid is different. After the SR2 shows up, there are a couple added cutscenes before Shepard jumps onto the SR2. The dialogue with t'soni on Mars is very different when seeing her. I like it. The same when talking with her before arriving on the Citadel. Once on the Citadel I was able to go to different area's. There are a lot of characters wearing some of the outfits I downloaded as well as hairstyles. If interested, check out the mod to see if it's something that would catch your interest. Here's some screenshots

Did you start with a clean slate, that is did you delete all your old mods and start again checking them against the MODS requirements etc. or did you just remove any that it said was incompatible? The reason I ask is mainly was it a lot of work before installing it?

But I did install a couple more. As far as installing Project Variety. Outside of the fact it took about 40 minutes to download, it installed easily. Overall it wasn't a lot of work.

Loaded up my ME3 save. I wanted to test her with a shotgun in the armax arena, even though she's an Infiltrator. I'm continuing NG+ (next up for me is ME2), but since ME3 has no "Veteran" difficulty, the next best thing would be hardcore. Yeeaaah, I think I'm going to stick with the sniper rifle & SMG. A shotgun is too risky. I tried the Claymore and Crusader. Either way. It's not advised to be so close to an enemy after shooting and waiting for cooldown. Besides, I like sniping enemies down. My Shep is a Vanguard in ME1, but I still use the rifle (with high explosive rounds) from time to time thanks to MELE.

- The summit ended with some surprise. In order for the krogan to help the turians, Wrex demanded nothing more than to cure the genophage. Elly is not opposed, but damn, what a demand. However, the chance to make it happen was within reach. The salarians held female krogan from Maelon's experiments that were immune to the genophage. Elly was tasked to get them out safely. Of course it all went a bit different, but successful either way. - Only one of the females was still alive when they arrived, and Elly met Kirrahe and Mordin again, nice surprises! Bad surprise that Cerberus wanted that last krogan. But Elly and her team made sure they wouldn't succeed. Lots of dead Cerberus goons later, the female krogan "Eve" and Mordin were aboard the Normandy so Mordin could create a cure with her. - Wrex told Shepard about a possible problem with rachni and Elly couldn't believe the queen she let go would cause trouble now. They went to check it out and the queen had been used by the Reapers. Elly decided to free her once more. They also had met Grunt on this mission and he barely made it out alive, but he's a tough one. By the time they were back, Mordin had the cure prepared. - After another short stop at the Citadel (Kaidan is a Spectre now), Elly and her friends went to disperse the cure on Tuchanka. She witnessed traces of a once beautiful planet, a thrasher maw taking down a Reaper, and Mordin losing his life to cure the krogan, but he died content. Wrex and Eve were relieved, and Elly felt good about what they had just accomplished. Unfortunately, something was brewing elsewhere, tied to Udina. Elly decided to check it out and she was glad she did, because she stopped a Cerberus coup staged by Udina in the process. Kaidan was with him and the rest of the Council, Elly and him having a standoff. Kaidan decided to trust Elly, but Udina attacked the asari Councilor. Seconds later he was dead. Elly felt nothing but hate for him and it felt a bit like justice when she put him down. He couldn't hurt anybody anymore. Traitor. Unfortunately, Thane had been fatally wounded while trying to stop an assassin, so Elly went to the hospital right away. Kolyat said some prayers and his father passed away. For quite some time, Elly just stood by the window where Thane used to sit. She hated this day. She wasn't even that close to Thane, but everything happening affected her deeply. She wanted nothing more than to get to her cabin and have a drink. Or two. - Before she could however, Kaidan was waiting for her in the docking bay. They had a good talk, and talked some more aboard the Normandy after Elly took some time for herself. She was glad to have him back. And after taking care of more business on the Citadel, she and Kaidan grabbed a bite. And talked some more. About them. Now they're back together and Elly feels grateful to have him back in her life. She had really missed him. Sur'Kesh/Cure business Citadel business Elly is my first FemShep to cure the genophage for real! About time I guess Couple deaths now... Those damn Ravagers sometimes on the rachni mission And the coup was actually mean in the Phantom section, was the first time playing MELE I died there Also one time at the beginning.

Continuing my Project Variety mod playthrough test. When dealing with Aria and her side kicks, they won't be found is the usual spot in the game. Shepard has to go to the new locations from the mod. Check your journal to know which location to find whoever. The same when helping Bau, the salarian spectre. It took me a bit of time to find Bailey. I currently ran into a problem. I tried several times, with multiple ways to get back on the SR2, but the screen won't come up. It turns out it's the egm mod. I will play around with that later. For now I will disable it every time I want to get back on the Normandy. Here's a bunch of screenshots

Okay, so I've decided to stick with FemShep's Default Face. In the end, no custom face I make can hold a candle to her. She's perfect the way she is. But I will not let the face I made go to waste. If anyone else wants it, here is her IDENTITY CODE: 6L3.KAA.JBG.D6W.JG6.1ST.9A1.711.GH5.17B.4GA.GIG.1 You got her phone number?

- Elly went to rescue some scientists that wanted to cut ties with Cerberus. She wanted them badly for the Crucible, if they were trustworthy. When she saw that Jacob was involved, she knew they were. Elly was surprised to see him, and she did notice there was going on more between him and one of the scientists there, but Elly didn't ask. It had been too awkward, especially since she was back together with Kaidan. They just gracefully didn't touch on the subject of what had been between them and instead focused on getting these people out. - Afterwards, Elly snagged an actual Prothean from Cerberus on Eden Prime. Lots of memories there for both Elly and Kaidan, but they had to focus on the mission. The Prothean called himself Javik and was definitely not how everyone had pictured his race, but at least he was friendly and joined the fight against the Reapers. This would be interesting. - Elly beat Cerberus on a few more occasions. She rescued civilians on Benning from them, took over a fighting squadron facility, raided a Cerberus lab, all the while leaving a trail of dead Cerberus goons. Elly couldn't help but feel torn about it. On one hand, she was glad they were stopped. On the other hand, notes she found in the lab suggested all people Cerberus took or joined them willingly were... altered. Used. Those were some dark times for sure. Catching some breath in her cabin, Elly played around with some dog tags she found on Benning. She would avenge everyone. The Illusive Man wouldn't be able to hide forever. - Next stop, Citadel, where Elly took care of some more things. And had some meet-ups with old friends. Miranda, Zaeed, Jacob... who now told her he got Dr. Cole pregnant. Elly was truly happy for him. He'd be a better father than his was, and Elly was so glad he found someone that was better suited for him. Everything just fell into place. It also turns out Conrad Verner is actually a smart person, when he isn't full of dumb ideas. EDI and Joker hit the dance floor and Elly had a good time drinking with Cortez. A little dancing might have occurred afterwards. What better way to end this visit than to go to forbidden places with her friend Garrus to shoot some bottles? - Elly finally found some time to take care of a crashed turian platoon on Tuchanka that Primarch Victus had asked her to do. She wished she had gotten there sooner, because while she did get many turian soldiers out, she only began to understand the scope of this mission now. Cerberus had a bomb somewhere on Tuchanka, and this platoon, led by none other than Victus's son, had been sent to disable it. Instead, Elly now had to lend a hand and hope they get there in time. They did, they stopped Cerberus, stopped the bomb. But the primarch's son was dead. It was sad, but his sacrifice ensured that the fragile turian-krogan alliance held up. And Elly and her team kicked Cerberus off the planet for good after taking some old krogan cannons from their hands. Scientist business Eden Prime Other stuff Finally got the Carnifex . I loooove this gun! I also managed to finally bust open an Atlas to climb in and got my last trophy, now the Legendary Edition is 100% everywhere I wish I could do it over and over I've been having some fun deaths by turrets The game tells me I'm not invincible, if only I would be smart about it and remember that

Continuing my Project Variety playthrough. In my last post, I mentioning a problem I had. It turns out it was the Dreams Remade mod. What's interesting is it worked fine for the first dream. The difference was when I returned to the ship, Shepard goes into dream mode while the other time I wanted Shepard back on the ship, it didn't work. I currently have the mod disabled. I will turn it back on before curing/sabotaging the genophage. The same for the third dream. The only reason I was able to pinpoint the problem so quickly was reading a comment from someone on Nexus under the PV mod. Since the mod changes outfits for characters, I decided to disable the aria armor outfit mod for t'soni. I like the outift better than what PV offers. I will likely turn the mod back on.. Completed From Ashes. Before I started the mission, I made a save. At some point I will go back to complete the mission/dlc after Ashely returns to the ship to see/hear if there's anything different with the PV mod. For this run I took Garrus and obviously t'soni is required. Saw Miranda. Saw Ashley in the hospital Avina is a female turian. If anyone is curious/interested in the mod I use to have femshep wearing different outfits, and changing her hair and hair color, it's called Appearance Modification Menu LE3. What it does is allow the player to change the look of their Shepard and what he/she is wearing for each mission. If you have downloaded outfits and hair for Shepard, they will show up in the menu. You can also make changes at any time. In the middle of a mission, taking a stroll on the Citadel and so on.

I installed MELE on my Xbox Series S (it's the only next-gen console with a 30fps mode), and started a "test/dummy" Shep in ME2. Do you know how long it's been since I played ME2 on an Xbox? 13 years, back in 2010, the year I played both ME1 & ME2 (played ME2 first, then ME1 several months later) for the first time, on the Xbox 360. Yeah...

See below. Since I use a controller, I push the start button, to bring up the menu whereas someone using a keyboard and mouse would push the esc button. Once in the that menu, push the mod settings button. As you can see from below, the player can change any character listed to wear whatever outfit and have whatever hairstyle. If not, leave it disabled.

Restarted my Shep. This time on Xbox Series S. She has been rechristened to Ilia, named after the character from the movie Star Trek: The Motion Picture, a movie I grew up watching. Her name was Quorra, named after the character from Tron: Legacy. My Shep has the same face & backstory as before (along with her classes for each game), I just felt that it was only fair to name her after a character from a movie I loved since childhood, rather than a character from a movie I only like and have no sentimental attachment. Anyway, images: She ain't having it... The camera man sure loves his job taking pictures of Commander Shepard. Eat your heart out, Conrad Verner... Enkindle what?
