It's interesting that Cora's hair looks nothing like her in-game character icon. I think.

It's interesting that Cora's hair looks nothing like her in-game character icon. I think. They'll probably update it like they did Liam's based on the below tweet: Ian S. Frazier @tibermoonGotta love Liam and his glorious hair. #space Cannot Compute @devon_DBSo does he wear goggles during exploration, Ian? His character icon seems to hint at that. Ian S. Frazier @tibermoonNo, the goggles were from a very early concept that we didn't go with. That icon has since been replaced.

I don't even care if most NPCs have shitty hair; If I can get good hair on just my PC that would be amazing.
Please BW, I'm not asking for much.

Those of us plays on PS4 and Xbox one can't use mods, we're kinda screwed lol and that's why I said what I said on the pervious page while some PC's can handle th egood stuff thanks t othe fancy hardwqare console owners do have to put up with some limitations in order to keep thing running smooth. That's why Lara's the only one that has the fancy hair in TR and the fact there are limitations as to what Bioware can do. To b fair though sometimes even those of us on PC can't get them to work properly. I've tried to get a few trilogy mods working but I've never succeeded DAO and DAI are the only games I've had any success at it. Whether I bother with MEA depends largely on what they give us but then I'll likely wait until all the patches and DLC are out before I try.

Expecting Lara's hair in Andromeda is, and always was, an unreal expectation. Or expecting the quality animation from Uncharted or any other more narrowly focused games for that matter.Even though what we've seen in not much, a safe assessment about hair quality in Andromeda is that it's going to be a small step better than Inquisition's, with a little bit more movement as well. Not nearly the jump in quality I hoped considering Andromeda is for this gen only but that seems to be true about other things as well, Andromeda doesn't look a top tier game visually. That said, if we have enough and interesting options for the PC and consequently enough variety for the NPCs than I'd say it can be good enough. Well... Horizon: Zero Dawn seems to have managed it. Check the following video: Ridiculously good facial animation too (around 4 mins in) along with totally dynamic weather in a huge open world. Guess the difference is that Guerrilla design their game engines especially whereas Bioware are using more of a 1 fits all engine. Andromeda still looks a very pretty game overall but honestly i'm doubtful that Bioware will ever achieve the graphic fidelity of other developers who seem to have more technical know how. That's just something that you've gotta accept because on the flip side most other developers can't offer the level of story telling Bioware do.

I hear Hideo Kojima is using it for his upcoming Death Stranding. Just based on what he's said about it, being an unconventional, mostly linear third person shooter, it doesn't sound anything like Horizon. Not to mention he's facecapping actual actors, which, correct me if I'm wrong, Horizon isn't doing. Maybe it's just a damn good engine. Idk.

Well there is that but you have to remember also that Horizon is also a PS4 exclusive type game as the same could be said about the graphics for Halo on XB1 as they'er more impressive as wel I think. Games like these only need to be able to run on one system though which makes it easier to be attuned to that system and make the most opf it. Bioware make their games so they'er played across the board which does complicate things as well, and by across the board I mean not just PS4, not just XB1 and not just PC but all 3 systems which is a much bigger challenge

That's just something that you've gotta accept because on the flip side most other developers can't offer the level of story telling Bioware do. First off, that game looks gorgeous. So, in that game, does she ever change her armor at all? Are there any other characters with such dynamic hair? It seems like it's easier to do hair like that when you have a single set protagonist with one set of wardrobe and one type of hair. As opposed to RPGs that allow you to make your character, choose your hair type, have a bunch of different gear options, etc. Not only that, but you have to take into account your companions and their hair and gear, too. I don't know much about this sort of thing but it seems to me that there must be a reason why Bioware doesn't already have long beautiful dynamic hair like this in their games. Maybe it's too much work for just hair, or they run into problems with the game running smoothly - especially on PC rigs that can vary from person to person. I dunno.

Idk, Square Enix has super respectable hair physics and they have the most outlandish styles for a large cast of characters.

Idk, Square Enix has super respectable hair physics and they have the most outlandish styles for a large cast of characters. Squeenix generally has clumps and layers of sheet hair to mimic natural movement, which is how they get away with it. That, and they switch between high poly and low poly models in their cutscenes and gameplay. With the camera zoomed out in actual gameplay, you tend to not notice much.

Regardless, that's a completely viable solution to Bioware's hair problems. Especially considering that the hair would be significantly less insane, so it wouldn't require nearly as much work to make it react semi realistically.

Agreed perhaps Bioware should look at the Final Fantasy series and try to make their haier behav ea little more like that.

I want Miranda or Ashleys ME3 hair, I dont care if it clips ill be fabulous yeah aso do I really like I said before I can see them giving us a couple of shoulder length styles like that but I doubt they'll go further than that. I'd like a Miranda/Ashley type style as well and if there is a couple of styles in MEA like that you can bet my first Sara will be using one of them

More than the graphic of the hair, I'm worried of the actual styles. In DAI the very first portraits of the races had beautuful, tasteful hair. I love the male elf braids, for example! but those styles had never been used on DAI!!! I really can't capacitate myself about what happened to the hair in DAI. Half the styles where definitely male oriented, with a balding hairline, and just slapped on the female skulls. (really, would have been that much work readjust at least the textures of the shaved/half shaved styles?!?) And the others where usually just ugly. I'me really worried about the lack of common taste in BioWare. Not that the ME trilogy was good... the only style I liked was ME3's default FemShep hair, and for some unreasonable motivation it was locked for the non default Shepard. The only BioWare game I remember having decent hair was DA2. I didn't like most of the game, but I liked the low ponytail with bangs, and Cassandra's hairstyle. The better was the default Hwake one, but again the penalization for wanting your own cahracter, and it wasn't possible to have it for non deafult Hawke. I would like at least to be able to use companions hairstyles, and some exclusive Ryder hairstyles. I'm quite tired of my characters always having to go around with bland NPC hair!!!

Yeah that's why when talkiing about hair I tend to refer back to DA2 because they showed they can do it in that game. They just haven't been doing it since then what I'd like the mto do is look at DA2 and build on that because with that game they'd pretty much did a good job. Judging from what we've seen I think we'll get better hair in Andromeda but how good it is we'll have to wait and see. I am hopeful though.

Yes, but it's cheap and generally uglier than static, molded hair, which is why most developers don't do it or don't do it often. Everything is all about graphical quality these days. Uglier? Square Enix? Huh? Compare Lightning's hair to Chloe's. Lightning's hair is nothing but textured sheets versus an actual shaped and sculpted mass in comparison, hence the "cheap and generally uglier". Chloe's hair>Lightning's hair.

Chloe's hair>Lightning's hair. I wouldn' texactly call it ugly as I quite like Lightning's look and in fact I quiet like the look of that whole game really
