Feel sorry for ya, mate. Don't think there's a legal (ie one that doesn't break any sort of agreements, especially EULA) way to do that.

Seeing how horrible the translations were with Mass Effect 2-3, and no possible way to have the language changed, I bought the US version of the game (PS3). This time, no Mass effect Andromeda Deluxe was available on any of the european shop sites (why), so I had to buy the US version again. I'll just cross my fingers and hope it'll work.

Hi guys! I had been planning to get the PC version of Andromeda, but I've recently found out that the game is region locked in my country (Poland). This also applies to Russia as far as I can tell. I really want to experience the game the way it was written and not translated. I asked my Finnish friend whether English is a supported language on his Origin page and it is. I guess that would work for Germany too. If I made a quick trip to Germany and bought the game there, would I still have to deal with region lock or would the problem be solved? I know I sound desperate, because I am I'm not sure, really. With FIFA 17, which is not the greatest of examples, I was able to set English language as the standard language through simply changing my language settings in Origin. This might also be the case for Mass Effect, but I'm not too sure about that. That said, it would be really silly if you couldn't enjoy a game in English purely because of the region you live in. You could also order the game from amazon.co.uk or similar sites in order to make sure you get the English version, though this will mean you'll have to wait for a bit as delivery can take quite a while.

In DAI it was possible to mod English in. I am hoping it could be done in MEA, otherwise I've spend my money on game I won't play

Oh, I thought that voice over was the problem. Sorry for irrelevancy then.

Wow, that sucks. And very strange, since it doesn't have to fit on a disc so why limit language options?
Option 1: You could try to make a new EA Origin account and give yourself an American (or Dutch, Scandinavian) identity. Perhaps with a VPN if necesarry (fairly easy, a lot of VPN servers offer a three hour trial which you could use).
Option 2: Start a petition against this nonsense. There's a very big Russian ME community, aren't they annoyed by it too?

I was trying hard to change language in Inquisition and I just gave up. I noticed that this problem applies to Mirror's Edge, BF1 and Titanfall 2 as well. Ordering the game from amazon would be the easiest solution, but I'm not willing to wait for delivery. Luckily I have a PS4, so playing the game with eng subtitles there won't be a problem, but I was expecting to play with unlocked framerate on PC with all my friends. Oh well, we can't have everything.

No need to travel far and use 3rd party stores. We can always go for VPN shopping. I've got DAI from Mexico - nice and easy, slightly more expensive than our RU version, but with all possible languages. I don't think Origin got any smarter.
Also, for those who need it - I've got a thread with old BSN easy copy-paste solution on this board. Many RU DAI players use it, and it works for polish version too (since we actually share the release).

Technically, but Kinguin relies on people ordering the game themselves and then turning around and using the site as a marketplace, similar to ebay, to offload their keys. It's global because people from all over the world use the site. So "global" in the instance of you purchasing it, could easily mean someone from Poland buys and sells a key through the site and it's the Poland key you get. Plus, it's cheaper on Cdkeys: www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/mass-effect-andromeda-pc-origin-cd-keyYour best bet is to use a VPN so not only can you initiate the download if you were in the UK or the United States in order to download all of the English files, but also to unlock the game earlier rather than waiting for the 23rd.

I don't really want to mess with VPN. I'll just stick to Kinguin I guess. I've just tested it on Mirror's Edge and it came with English subtitles, even though it's region locked.

Goddamit, so the game IS region locked once again. WHYYY. Ehhh, I guess I have to buy it on cdkeys (I'm also an unfortunate Polish player) :/ I still don't understand why there's even this freaking region lock. It's not like the games are cheaper here. They're actually ridiculously expensive and recently EA even raised prices for all MEA versions...

... Can't you just have your setting for Origin changed to english before downloading? That's what I had to do to have DAI and ME in english instead of french, after asking the support.

I hope there's a free english pack for everyone who'll want it then.

Is there a reason you are against VPN? These days, VPN connections are just a matter of installing a program and running it. VPN would allow you to unlock on the 21st as opposed to the 23rd as well.

Is there a reason you are against VPN? These days, VPN connections are just a matter of installing a program and running it. Especially with free VPN, you're vulnerable to 'man in the middle' attacks--basically eavesdropping on what you think are your safely tunneled communications with a 3rd party. Paid VPN has no technical advantages in this regard, but in case they decide to eavesdrop, and you find out, I suppose you would have someone to blame (?). A safer (IMHO) though maybe slower alternative is to use dynamic SSH tunneling (a SOCKS proxy). It requires having an account on a SSH server in whichever location you wish to appear; but the traffic is encrypted. The server could be set up by a friend, for example, who lives at the desired location. Setting up the SSH server is a little bit involved (much much easier on Linux & Mac compared to windows), so the person needs to know what they're doing. (creating a guest account, configuring sshd, and forwarding a port on the router). It's trivial to set up a connection to that server once it's up, though (on Linux and Mac, all you need is already available through the terminal; on windows, you need to get PuTTY, and then configure the proxy server through the control panel).

I don't thing it's much of an issue, because the VPN connection is only used during the couple of minutes. You only need it to make Origin recognize your 'location' and put the product into your basket. Payment won't work through the VPN connection anyway. It's basically 1. create a VPN connection 1. log into the origin\origin site. I've used the later, it's easier this way. 3. go to the MEA page. Click 'buy' + 'chek out'. leave it this way. 4. reconnect as usually, fill in all the forms and confirm your purchace
I've used flyvpn for my DAI - they've got Brazill and Mexico on their server list and there are 20 minutes of free conection with their trial log\pass. As I've mentioned - you only need like 5 minutes in total. Unless you forget to update the origin client beforehand.
I'm not yet sure that I'm going to buy it. Somehow nothing I've seen so far could clear my doubts.
Another place we might try is GreenManGaming (which is a solid service, not just a bunch of key-resellers), they normally sell international versions, and they've already got MEA on their 'coming soon' list. I've got the non-RHCP Dishonored1 goty from them.
