The amount of people who complain about games not being on Steam is far less than the benefits of being Steam exclusive for someone like EA; the vast majority of PC gamers are like me and ultimately couldn't care less if a game is on Steam, Origin, GoG, or simply exists as an exe downloaded from the website. Even if the nuisance of having to deal with yet another client is there, the "no steam, no sale" people are clearly in a minority. CDPR made a bunch of money with The Witcher because it's a good game with a good story that people enjoy, not because it was on Steam. The game being on multiple marketplaces and DRM free was just a bonus. The game could've been Origin exclusive and people still would've bought it in droves. Agreed I don't really mind where I get it from as long as I can play it

The DRM'd online store that has distinct disadvantages compared to all the others is the microsoft app store, or whatever it's called. Steam/Uplay/origin at least don't hide the contents of the game folder.
I wonder if anyone buys anything from that store; their first run of exclusive games were all technical disasters.

EA/Bioware is making a BIG mistake not putting ME:A on Steam. sure Valve asks for a 30% cut but that 30% they get is put to good use in the form of advertising the crap out of the product. In short EA could make A LOT more money if they put all their games on Steam or GoG. Didn't EA observe/analyze what CDPR did with Witcher 3. they put it on steam and or GoG and made a crap ton money. PS. to any of you Bioware devs/ EA execs if you did not take notice/watch what CDPR was doing with Witcher 3 then you should because they are making money without compromising their principles. my philosophy is making money is good but don't do it at the expense of making your customers angry. CDPR made money and did the right thing so you should learn from them too. EA has every right to put it where it wants to they own the Ip . gamers have a damn choice its time you and others use it

Well as I recall in a previous discussion on this, it's there only to delay the cracking since the bulk of any new release are within the first 90 days. It makes sense. To be honest an extra hour (or week for that matter!) at work to buy the game seems like a whole lot less effort than what if would take to hack a game and make it run properly. Talk about a tedious use of free time...I'd rather spend it playing the game. still a complete waste of time and money on EA's end. there is no point in delaying the inevitable (and of course the stupid cycle/history repeats itself and more money is going down the toilet) if you know what i am trying to say. it'd be better if they just cut the dam drm completely and oh look *money saved* cut that stupid generic horde mode MP (ME series was a single player franchise from the get go) *money saved* now the whole budget can focus on development and maybe some advertisement depending on Bioware's mood You think cutting MP from ME3 would have saved them money? It more than paid for itself with microtransactions.

No, for the same reason I won't buy it on Origins:
My PC can't run the stupid thing. At least for now, it's PS4 for me all the way.

I don't care what platform I buy the game from as long as everything works. As it stands Origin and Steam are no different from each other when it comes to running my games.
But I will say that the "No Steam, No Buy" crowd makes little sense to me. I too like Steam more than Origin but that's only because it has better sales and a larger library. But Steam has garbage customer service, garbage communities, useless user reviews, and Greenlight has been apparently letting some shitty games onto the store. I don't get why people are so quick to defend their monopoly.

I am pretty sure EA/Bioware is doing fine with selling over Origin exclusively. Different developers use different platforms, so who cares. It's the product that is important, not the distribution channel. Never had any problems with Origin...

Not sure if the poll is asking "will you ONLY buy ME:A if it's on steam?" or not.
I'll buy the game regardless, but I would have preferred to buy it on Steam, as it's more convenient to have all my games in one location. GoG is also becoming more popular with me, less for their functionality (prefer Steam) and more because I appreciate their mindset and would rather give them my money if there's a choice. I generally loathe other platforms, especially Rockstar's Social Club (which actually prevented me from playing GTA V for four months) and Uplay. Origin is okay, but expensive.
FYI, I was pissed at EA for not putting Mass Effect 3 on steam. You'd think they'd finish what they started but no, an anti-consumer decision was made for corporate reasons. It just reinforced what I thought of EA.

Makes zero difference to me, since I don't buy any other games really, and have no preference.

I'm not a PC gamer but I generally prefer physical copies of all my media over digital. Now I own several games, movies, and TV shows in digital. But I will buy them as DVDs, Blu-Rays because there is a sense of ownership. I don't like the movie/TV show/game on Blu-Ray/DVD I can return it to the store, sell it, donate it to charity, throw it away, give it to a skeet shooting range, use it as a coaster. In other words: I can do something with it. I don't like a movie/TV show/game on digital all I can do is delete it (and that can be a major pain depending on what platform I'm using).
Also it puts me at the mercy of giant multi-national corporations which I hate. Case in point I watch Impact Wrestling it used to be on Spike TV when it was I could buy episodes of the series off Xbox Marketplace and watch them on my Xbox 360 and Xbox One, now they're on another channel and their parting with Spike TV wasn't exactly amicable by some accounts and now some of those episodes that I bought I can no longer watch on my either of my Xbox 360 or Xbox One, even though I legally paid for them and I don't have the means to make high quality backups of those episodes.
My advice buy a physical copy.
