If you enjoyed 2/3rds of the story, yes.
If you enjoyed 3/3rds of the gameplay, yes.

After ME3 I don't think I want those choices to matter... But then people would complain about the choices being hollow, meaningless, and unbecoming of a Bioware RPG.

Back when ME3 ended I was so angry I said I would never play the next game if it was a prequel, knowing that it would all lead towards that trainwreck of an ending regardless lore-wise.
But they made the smart move and separated Andromeda so much from ME3 that I can put all of that mess behind me, so I'm going to be playing it. They way I see it I already made my dissatisfaction clear by buying none of ME3's DLC, and I trust the new team to avoid making the same mistake with regards to Andromeda's ending, and future closure.

The ME3 ending didn't bother me as much, until I got on the old BSN boards and everyone was bitching. Then it did. I'm a little better about it now.
I still say: if ME3 ended right after Anderson dies - then there was no choice but the Reapers (and Shep) were destroyed - would have been very happy. Nice heroic exit.

Whilst I think it is a weak ending but it kind of made sense in it's own way it's kind of why I still play the games because they're just great fun to play. In fact just stating to work my way through the second half of the gam now just need to pick up the Quarians and my good friend Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy

My attitude on choices in games has evolved over time. I used to think that for choices to matter they needed to carry into the next game. But when I think about what I liked about Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins it turns out it wasn't seeing those choices reflected in future games. It was really just thinking about my character while playing the game or thinking about my character after I'd completed the game, based on the ending. In other words, choices were really just a vehicle for me to further create my character in my mind.
The imports honestly never amounted to much. I like the effort with the imports. But so far the most rewarding part of making choices comes within the context of the game in which the choices mattered.
So given that I liked playing Mass Effect games, I have enthusiasm for Mass Effect Andromeda. So if you liked 1 and 2, I think you should keep reading the hype and see if you end up wanting to play it.

I was very, _very_ disappointed in the ME3 ending. More upset than I've been at anything in over 30 years of gaming. But the truth is I was so upset because I cared so much by the end. So if I played over 300 hours of great gaming experience in one of the most compelling stories I've ever played, then I probably need to let it go about the last 10 minutes. Its clearly worth my time and money to re-up for another. (and I quite enjoyed DAI in the interim). I haven't lost faith in Bioware to deliver... yet.

Same here, probably because I only started playing ME a year ago. I definitely see more flaws in the MET as a result of these boards but I overall love the games regardless. I originally saw ME1 as the weak one but my thinking has come around more. I quite like it. I like them all.

After just playing the game I can definitley see it was the prototype of the BioWare I have come to know and love but the first true game was ME 2, in this regard. The gameplay was clunky and grindy and the RP options were a bit lacklustre....but I still had a lot of fun with it.

Meh...there have been WORSE endings in videogames and to be honest there was no way Bioware was going to please everybody in terms of the ending...waaay too many variables and coding involved for every eventuality. The ride all the way to the end was great....the journey itself far outweighs the ending on some many levels...
Even ME3 had a sense of hopelessness and dread,...struggling against those challenges made the game great. Play the game for the journey...not the endings....which really wasn't that bad to begin with.

I will say the whole machine and organic choice thing at the end seemed arbitrary. Become a machine/Reaper? Synthesize with them? So odd. The game had not been to me machine vs man/organics - more about exploration, characters and friendships against a terrible enemy. Should have just been 'Destroy' - without a need for a choice. Shep dies, saves everyone, goes out a hero. Highly satisfying!!
Anyway, trying not to dredge up old wounds. As I said above, I feel a little better about the ending, but not much. At least the journey there is quite awesome.

100% agree, I HATED star kid so much but I love ME3. I love Me3 so much it's my fav of the three. As to OP I would sit and think about what made you enjoy the mass effect games then wait for the reviews to come out and see if ME:A has those things in it. The worst thing you can do to yourself is pre order at this point.

i didnt really understand why people hated the ME3 ending. Yes, choices didnt matter as advertised but try playing ME3 without a savegame and then with a savegame, the game did feel alot different. in fact that is what happened to me because i lost my savegames and i thought ME3 was bad in terms of story.
also ME3 had a fitting ending for a soldier and it was quite obvious that shepard will have his soldiers death. if anything i salute bioware for not taking the mainstream way of a happy end at least story-wise. yes the choice seemed dumb especially in combination with multiplayer but this is a flaw that got way more attention than it should have.
@op: you should really explain the reason why you wouldnt want to play ME:A. is it that you didnt like the ending, that your choices didnt matter that much but you still liked the trilogy?

Given that Shepard's story is 'done and dusted' and completely separate from Andromeda I would give it a go if you enjoyed the gameplay and wish for more of the ME universe. Hopefully the overall story of the trilogy (at least, up to when the AI leave) will be appropriately included in Andromeda as I feel that complete denial of what was going on would be a bit silly, however Bioware did confirm that the actual story and adventure of MEA was its own.

I would recommend doing so since there's probably many tidbits left for you to discover...even more so if there are dlc's you haven't played. And a trilogy run now would be a great way to kill the remaining time until MEA's release. I'm doing so myself...although there's a good chance I end up doing two back-to-back.
