Them both? Dorian doesn't know anything about his family looking for him unless your Inquisitor decides to tell him. If you don't want to get mixed up in his family business, why do that? Think about it, your first blind playthrough, you get a mysterious note that could be anything venitari trap, chantry plotting to ambush dorian, involvement in tevinter politics, so you go and then find out it's nothing but a clumsy author filibuster on the gay agenda. It's just anticlimactic, condescending and entirely out of place with the rest of the game. You think it's a trap so you.... walk into it?

I only brought it up because Tevinter has sex-segregated units (Krem will confirm it in banter). She didn't like that, preferred to fight with the men. Personally, I'm okay with that. That was the point. I wanted to say "You're a woman. So what? This isn't Tevinter. Our girls fight with our boys, rock on!" I'm not sure where you're going with that. Krem doesn't just want to be in a unit with men, Krem wants to be accepted as a man. Mixed-gender units are not the point. Right. But since it is in the mind, we should use what's in the mind. Krem thinks he's a man because his brain tells him he's a man. What point is there in disagreeing? But Krem is not a man. My mind tells me that I am a god, but, as Solas would put it, that's only true if I stretch the definition of god to the point of absurdity. Everytime I see stuff like that, I'm reminded of Demosthenes.

It's just anticlimactic, condescending and entirely out of place with the rest of the game. Except as the confrontation with Dorian and his father progresses, you see it's far more than that. It's about his place in society, and refusing to conform to it, quite apart from his sexuality. He could have been Rated M for Manly but if he had no interest in marrying the brood mare picked out for him (especially seeing how his parents loathed each other and what that did for his upbringing) what difference would that have made to the story? In fact, the blood magic ritual wasn't to make him straight, it was to make him accept his role. When you get back to Skyhold you can ask him if he thinks the ritual would have worked. He admits he doesn't know, but that if it did "I don't think I would have liked that Dorian" makes you think there's less difference between the Vints and the Qunari than it seems

That is a preview, and they are only allowed to talk about what was shown/played in the Origin access. A review is of the entire product, from start to finish.

Yeah the omni tools look bad too. Like physical objects stuck on your arm. But I'm sure day one patch will fix.

The same site posted an article the following day where the reviewer said the game gets better after the hours free of the embargo. Whether it's true or now, we'll found out soon.

If we have to force Krem into the binary, we should pick the slot which works for him.

So what expression is she trying to convey? She looked like someone is giving her "pleasure" if you catch my drift.

Always amazes me how the side and loyalty quests people have a problem with always seem to be the ones involving gay (or I guess transgender) people, and none of the others.
Funny that, isn't it.

Not true and you know it. If we take DAI as an example here, the biggest discussion was about IB quest, that had nothing to do with any political agendas, it was simply very, very badly done. You are so fast to through accusations about anti-gay propaganda, as if anything involving gay should be revered regardless of quality and untouchable. Funny that, isn't it.

The ones i have a problem with, is the constant Daddy Issues quest. I felt like Doctor Phil in ME2 and it annoyed me to no end. in DAI it was just Dorian really, so I can deal with that. but that overly used Daddy Issue thing is something I'm rather tired of, myself.

He literally says everything that's good and bad in every game he reviews and then says whether he enjoyed it or not. This means that for example despite shitting on FO4 for a good part of video, he eventually said he enjoyed it regardless of the problems. That's not the case with ME:A though. Most of the flak TW3 got from him was for combat, which is valid imo.

I suppose they could have done an MRA agenda quest, commit a few rapes, spice it up with some child abuse, that kind of thing.

Let's see, conversation animations are down to Bethesda levels, the open worlds are okay... I guess? The writing feels disjointed as hell and they use the "Pathfinder" status as an excuse for literally everything - in the trilogy Shepard was at least also referenced for his pre-military service. Ryder becomes Pathfinder because of Nepotism yet has zero experience and nobody fucking questions any of this. It feels like such a by-the-numbers Mass Effect plot but with less detail. You can also easily feel that this ended up being a multi-team effort and 8-10 writers. It's just fucking inconsistent.
I'm still enjoying some of it because it's new, it's got Mass Effect vibes and a sense of wonder to some of its exploration but overall I have a feeling this game will be thought of as a huge letdown in a year unless the story suddenly turns out to be amazing, but honestly I'm already seeing signs of Schlerf having left and the remaining writing staff bastardizing his draft... OR my gut-reaction to when his involvement was announced and him being "That Halo 4 writer" was correct because he actually is just a crap writer like I thought when I played Halo 4. The plot is just full of head-scratchers.
