I think the MP is the only great thing about this game tbqh

You only had the opportunity to raise questions, agree, or ignore when it came up in context. I couldn't say something on the line of "No, you're a woman with a towel in your codpiece. Women can fight, we're not Tevinter with their sex-segregated units or the damn Qun." The lack of anything but acting like BFFs to everyone in DAI at all points was so weird. You're the leader of the biggest army ever, and you had 0 intimidate or strongly dusagree options for anything. The one time you would get a non-Scooby Doo answer it would be so far the other way. Like, you couldn't even really be a jerk to Dorian's dad. You just kinda said "Gay is okay" or *disapproving nod at bad dad* then you leave. There was no way to be like "I don't care about your personal drama, but I'll help you get this sorted because I need you do focus on magic stuff" about the quest line. I'm not saying I wanted a "I hate gays" option, but something a little more no-nonsense in approach would be nice. I wanted to play a stern, prickly dude and there were incredibly few opportunities to do that. I wanted to say "You're both acting like (pick appropriate swear word here)" and just leave.

Huh? The "Women can fight" part of that makes no sense. Krem isn't a man because he fights. Krem's a man because he's a man. But yeah, the PC should be given the option to say stupid stuff too. Yeah, DAI could have used more emotional range for the PC. But this is a general failing that has nothing to do with the Krem and Dorian scenes in particular. Okay. I'm only saying this once. Krem is a woman. It's been brought up multiple times in that travesty of dialogue about sex-segregated units, not wanting to wear dresses, and the banter between IB and Cole about seeing her body when Bull lost his eye. Men aren't men because they fight. Neither are women. Men are men because they are born men. Women are women because they are born women. Neither of those things is wrong, a crime, or anything. It simply is. That is all. Krem is not a man because she wishes to be one, no more than I can be a god merely by wishing.

This is motion capture and fluid realistic combat is like! Damn BioWare can't even pull this off and this demo made in 2012?! I don't know what to say.... I do... ITS A DIFFERENT FRAKING GAME IN A DIFFERENT FRAKING GENRE WHICH WAS MUCH SHORTER AND LESS AMBITIOUS THEN ANDROMEDA. My God now I know what its like when people are always complaining about when I am comparing apples to oranges. Lesson learned for me and myself. Wow that's not over the top at all, but anyway it's not apples and oranges when it comes to motion capture and combat. Ubisoft did an outstanding job of providing fluid movements of how Sam moves, climbs, and the dexterity is pretty awesome. But the combat design on ME:A is so pathetically made and they're saying that they'll introduce mocap into the game but they didn't. And the story of ME:A is pretty dumb and cliché in my opinion I mean why do people want to fight for a new home for humanity? What's wrong with earth and the colonies they've inhabited? Why do you have to fight indigenous people for a planet that is never yours in the first place? I mean have they not thought this through or they just that dull? Obviously something's wrong with BioWare now.

I want to make something clear here, from where I stand on this. I love DAI, not like, love it. it is, in my opinion, the most enjoyable experience so far in the DA franchise, unlike some defenders however, I concede to it's obvious flaws, side content outside of companions is basically nonexistent. The Hissing Wastes is an abomination that should be aborted from the game and our memory. You lack any personality options that aren't "we're all just the bestest fwends!". I personally found the Main Plot Bioware's best main plot since ME1, the last game before EA, this is however only true in my case if you include Trespasser, which I absolutely do.
However, all that said. I don't want to play DAI in Space. I want to play ME. Since ME3 I'm not exactly sure what ME even IS anymore, About 6 years ago I knew what ME was, and what it meant. But now? I've no idea, and I'm concerned if Bioware themselves still don't know the answer, because they sure as hell forgot in ME3. I already know I can't go into Andromeda totally neutral, it's impossible. But I want to give this game a fair chance, but thanks to their embargo, all I have to go on, are the first impressions, and they do not fill me with confidence.

Back when this was forums.bioware.com, Dutch would endlessly bash DAI as inferior to TW3. He worshipped and sang its praises even to the point where people who felt like he did were annoyed. I thought TW3 had its problems. The sidequests though, felt more substantive

K so still going on about facial animations. The reality is that everyone is NOT Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother and always takes perfect pictures. What I see is everyone taking stills out of a sequence where the toon looks goofy. Well you look goofy 90% of the time too, lol.
You guys remind me of the paparazzi for some sleazy mag trying to find bad pics to say "Just caught Trump snorting dandelion roots".lol .
Everyone (including all of you) has strained expressions and weird looks and etc. As goofy as some of these are I am just enjoying them. I am not expecting constant romance novel poses or for these guys to always look like its supermodels looking perfect in a photo shoot or on the catwalk. Lol at some of the expectations of this game.

You wanted the Inquisitor to say "women can fight," and I was pointing out that this is irrelevant. As for the rest, it's your right to have that opinion, and to have your Inquisitor have that opinion. (Neither Krem nor Bull would care what your Inquisitor thinks, of course.) But getting into an argument with Krem over it strikes me as pointless douchebaggery. Having said that, as a matter of RP DAI should have allowed the Inquisitor to engage in more pointless douchebaggery. But again, this is a general design failure rather than a problem with this particular scene. As for gender in general, I think it's more useful to use the gender expressed in the brain rather than either genes or external genitalia, and science offers us no useful guidance here. This is just out of pragmatism; it's hard to get access to the genes, and the genitalia are only of interest if I'm actually considering a sexual relationship with the person.

I don't think Bioware ever had a good quality control. It's just that their games are getting bigger, with more content and stuff to control, so the technical problems increased compared to before.

I only brought it up because Tevinter has sex-segregated units (Krem will confirm it in banter). She didn't like that, preferred to fight with the men. Personally, I'm okay with that. That was the point. I wanted to say "You're a woman. So what? This isn't Tevinter. Our girls fight with our boys, rock on!" As for gender, the brain is a mixture of chemicals, electricity, and lipids. Science tells us it doesn't exist, it's all in the mind, or, at best, a developmental disorder similar to diabetes or a thyroid problem.

Krem doesn't just want to be in a unit with men, Krem wants to be accepted as a man. Mixed-gender units are not the point. Right. But since it is in the mind, we should use what's in the mind. Krem thinks he's a man because his brain tells him he's a man. What point is there in disagreeing?

Think about it, your first blind playthrough, you get a mysterious note that could be anything venitari trap, chantry plotting to ambush dorian, involvement in tevinter politics, so you go and then find out it's nothing but a clumsy author filibuster on the gay agenda. It's just anticlimactic, condescending and entirely out of place with the rest of the game.

Gaider isn't with Bioware anymore, so I don't think he can cause that problem for you again. Did you have a problem with some of the loyalty quests in ME2, though?
