Not serious dialogues was always present, and sometimes it was bad. But yeah, it is possible that they might've decided to lighten up most dialogues because of that dlc. The hilarious thing is that the premise after the first mission is pretty grim. They made the exact DLC everyone needed, and they did the exact right things with it, and saddest part is, they themselves obviously don't even understand what they did right. But how can that be? How could they possibly not understand when the fans have articulated for years, why exactly that DLC was so good? if they really listen and pay attention to us, how could they not know? You think fans have been articulating a clear message? Not on this board. Not on the old board either.

Yeah, if they really did that they really need to get a grip on reality and fire all the SJW working there.

Regarding the new sara face I heard if you install the game on PS4 without internet aka no patches, she looks like that.

Yeah its the day 1 patch that changes it, according to people that tried it out. What i don't get is why? I mean they've used the default we have now in marketing for awhile, why would it be in a patch?

I like the default Sara we have now, animation issues aside. What boggles me is why they didn't just add one of them as a preset instead of patching it out completely.

This writing Buahahaha... The writers at biowere are pre-teens or something? This is seriously dumb writing. Also, check the lip movements at 0:08... FFS BW... How the mighty has fallen. Also.. It is just me or anybody else has issues playing with a whinny millennial character? Going from Shepard to this... Its painful...

Yeah, they really should have given both options. I'm still hoping they buckle to pressure and add this alternate face as a preset in an upcoming patch. As far as the current Sara, it all obviously comes down to individual taste. I personally have a pretty visceral hatred of her face, I just can't help it. To me, it's exaggerated and cartoonish in all the wrong ways, and it bugs me very time I see it.

I (and others) have been nagging them on Twitter about adding it back into the game, but as far as I've seen they've completely ignored all discussion of it so far. If you use Twitter, go and tell @tibermoon and @gamblemike that you want to see it back in the game. The more people that bug them about it, the more likely it is that they'll add it in a patch.

Well the point of the story is that we are young and inexperienced, but i knew the moment they talked about that it would not gel with everyone. I don't think that scene is as horrible as people think, but it is indeed a low point on the writing side. I feel like this game having 3 lead writers over the course of development is showing in many scenes. The tone is inconsistent. Personally i never felt that connected to Shepard, and already like Ryder more as a character, but its going to be hugely negative on that front when the game comes out.

We love first with the eyes, then with the heart, men especially.
This may not be fair or nice, but it is demonstrably true.
I've seen nothing in MEA that I could love first with the eyes yet. I hope there are more options.
Not buying at full price, for this and the animation/writing problems.

That dialogue sounds more like something you'd hear in a TV show about kids in junior high.

That sound exactly like 80% of the romances I played in previous BioWare games. They were always corny and awkward. I guess I am the only one who remember using the following pick up line on Bastilla: "Your face is all scrunched up like a kinrath pup".

When Alistair gives you a rose one of the dialogue options is "So are we married now?"

I am sceptical not just about this game, but about the future of gaming (I have been for over 10 years now)
You see.. Games have changed alot since they became mainstream and the new age gamers have been spoon fed with instant glorification, preorder bonus, dlcs, cash shops, deluxe editions, simplistic gameplay, auto save functions, no consequences, etc etc etc.. Its slowly become worse and worse and pretty much every large publisher actually makes CONSOLE games and then just port them to PC.. This has been the case with a few Bioware series as well.. they might have started out as PC games and being semi advanced, but all of them are merely action oriented console games now.
I still want to play this, but that is only for the story, the rest is under avg in my opinion. When I want proper games I have to crowdfund now a days or support a few of the "semi" large PC pubs that still stay true.
The fact people have not been able to see this progressions and expected something else than we get is scary im0. I didnt expect anything else than what we are getting here.

I watched live streams after eos and the game and writing is quite good. the kett remaind me of the wraith of stargate and after eos it improves I think BW dont help them selves with their poor use of frostbite for cut scenes and the polish however the acutal game mechanis are improved form the OT I like it and I read a good comparison earlier ME A is like guardians of the galaxy in tone and writing.

Well, as someone who didn't really love Citadel himself -- I didn't have any problems with the game in the first place, so to the extent Citadel was supposed to fix something it went right past me -- I'm really not qualified to talk about this.

Exhausted my trial just now. I got a mail from a reporter who wanted to interview me hardball questions on the Nexus next time I got there. I got there and it reminded me a lot of Kalisah Bint-Sinan Al-Jilani. Met Drack who seems like Wrex. Met PeeBee who is an archeologist who is studying the Remnant. I received a mail from Cora where she tells me it's okay to relax and stuff. Then, a poem verse.
Why is everybody in this game just Mass Effect 1, 2.0 characters?
Oh and just so you know, the main antagonistic threat that is bigger than individuals in this game is "Dark Energy". Mac or Schlerf are just ripping off every possible thing they could from the OT and Drew's work and it's by design.

This writing In and of itself I think that scene is fine. An awkward young woman (or young man for that matter) who has little to no experience of relationships can behave like that. If that writing style leaks over into the main story then we've got problems.

Liam, Cora, Peebee (expecially Peebee) and Vetra, personality wise, are different from Ashely, Kaidan, Liara and Garrus. Drack is closer to Wrex compared to them, but he was described a bit different by some. Was it directly stated the treat is dark energy, os is that you hypothesis?

See, stuff like this (and other spoilers I've seen) is one of the things I find most annoying about ME:A. If they had done a full reboot, or a completely new IP with these elements in it I would probably be more forgiving. But the whole half-way, we're not rebooting except we clearly are, military grade handwavium, way they are going about it just really niggles at me.

I hoped they wouldn't play this nostalgia angle too much, and the worst part is that I just know fans will gush all over it and think it's amazing that BioWare didn't have the creativity to think up a new character instead of referencing Ashley.
This is the kind of BS that happened to Ace Attorney which used to be my second-favorite series for a while and ironically that was also after the trilogy was done. Just stop doing this shit writers out in the world. Please. Don't start passing the torch to fans who then bastardize your work with fanfiction-level writing.
