Great fuckin' game tho.

Not arguing against the game's quality. Only what it could have been since Bioware was showing this build to a focus group. So, I'm glad they're only giving us concrete stuff unlike before.

Understandable. I think some people (minority) who brings the game up only wants Bioware to take some lessons from it and improve their own games. That's me, personally. I have faith in MEA actually beating TW3, we shall see.

I thought Inquisition was pretty forgettable. It was basically 80 hours of fetch quests.

Extreme pessimism about the game's success months prior to release, comparing to TW3 and talking about how much better CD Projekt is than BioWare?

It really is just like the old official forum. Now it properly feels like home.

I enjoyed the content they showed. I had wished for more, of course, but I also understand that the NVIDIA CES was not a Bioware showcase. They had plenty of other stuff to show besides a video game, and only wanted the flashy cool parts to show off the computational power of their gear. Romances and conversations don't do that, so I understand why they showed what they did. I thought it was too short at first, until I started to dive into everything they did show and figured out they gave a ton of information in the short video. I paused about every 2 seconds and discovered a trove of information.

I'm very excited for this game. Bioware said they took inspiration from The Witcher 3 for sidequest quality over DAI, so that should satiate some fans. The ones who want the clunky combat of ME1 and think good combat in a game means that there is no story I feel are wrong and are not waiting for information to form their opinions. My guess is the cinematic trailers and longer gameplay footage begins somewhere around February. There won't be a ton of competition against MEA on March 21st except a PS4 exclusive (which honestly looks overhyped to me, but to each their own). They won't run into the problem Titanfall 2 did by being released amidst other heavy-hitters.

I just don't remember the marketing for any of the original Mass Effect games containing a lot of story in them anyway. And after the criticism of the DAI trailers and gameplay footage showing stuff that wouldn't make it into the final game and the promises they made about the ME3 endings that were...stretched... I can understand them not showing much until closer to release to avoid any changes they make before certification being a lightning-rod for online hate.

I mean really, why do they have to show tons of gameplay and huge trailers months and months before the game releases anyway? You only need to get people excited right before release. If they really roll out the marketing beginning of February, that gives over a month and half of trailers and gameplay to get people interested.
