Oh it will. It will fail very hard, just as the first three games completely failed in every way. This is a certainty. The only thing that I'm waiting to find out is whether the multiplayer will be great or terrible. I already know that the single player campaign will be the worst game ever. Oh look a female dutch

Man those were the days, I kinda of miss it! It was a ride to go there. I do understood why people were pissed but some PC gamers were just over the top with the ravaging. Yeah... some people just don't know when to quit and shut up and give common sense a chance to reassert itself. Now that I think about it, bitching about even well received games is a long standing, time honored tradition, especially in the BioWare fandom. Remember Knights of the Old Republic, cited as one of their immortal classics today? Back then, the old BioWare forums were full of XBox players claiming to have been cheated out of DLC (which came later to their platform than it did to PC), and those turret shooting sequences, where you had to move the crosshairs of the Ebon Hawk's gun turret all manual like and shoot at enemy fighters! RPGs were dead. Man I miss that too but overall it is not a thing that only happens with bioware, that was my point. Even games that are highly praise get that skepticism. Well a group of people is a group of people, like bioware devs or jesus followers. It does not depend on anything I mean, it is assuming something about them because one person of the group behaves stupidly. Criticizing the followers of an ideology is okay. Judging people based on their race or genitals is not. I tend to avoid talking about "bioware devs" specifically. If I have criticism I tend to aim it at Bioware the company. Fair enough, still I do not trust an article that singles out one dev. His bigotry has nothing to do with his job on ME:A.

The problem with Bioware is that I find it highly likely that they would have responded differently if his tweets were about, say, blacks. As for ME:A, I don't really know what his level of influence is, but he certainly doesn't seem shy about his racist opinions. I beg to differ Trump is almost the president of the USA at this moment and his racist twittes were irrelevant.

*snip* Also I generally prefer sci-fi over fantasy and I really can't find any new sci-fi RPGs to play.If I'm being bluntly honest that's a big reason why I'll buy this game no matter what. Kind of hope a new cool sci-fi game comes out soon. Kind of lacking in that department. Never got why so many people prefer zombie games to sci-fi games. Keep an eye out for Cyberpunk 2077. Also, you might consider trying Technomancer.

And yet those who hate this Manveer guy probably turns a blind eye to Trump and everything he has said. Do you have anything meaningful to add aside from making assumptions and calling people homophobes? Because none of this excuses Manveer's racism or Bioware's tolerance for it. That guy really shouldn't be taken seriously. He's a try hard.

Geralt & Co. push some buttons up in here man, fuck me sideways..... Mass Effect and The Witcher are my 2 favourite RPG franchises, never did I know until today that there was such a bitter underbelly of resentment and stabbery in the background There is this weird brand loyalty to Bioware among some DA fans where any mention of CD Projekt Red or The Witcher 3 triggers them. Granted this thread was a shitpost intended to provoke a an angry reaction, but even on the old boards in the Witcher 3 thread, you had a few Bioware fans who'd pop in occasionally to bash the game or ramble about how DA:I was supposedly superior, despite admitting to having never played The Witcher 3. It was really bizarre. To be fair, maybe a similar thing goes on at CD Projekt Red's forums and you have people saying Bioware's games blow without having played them. I don't post there, so I have no idea. On the BSN however I found the people who thought the Witcher 3 was better than DA:I to be a more reasonable crowd overall, minus the occasional troll, because at least their opinion was formed after having played both games. A lot of the BSN's 'TW3 sucks' crowd never played it. I just do not understand brand loyalty at all. The only thing either Bioware or CD Projekt Red cares about it is separating consumers from their cash. That's it, so why give either of them blind loyalty? On that note I hope both Andromeda and Cyberpunk 2077 are equally great games, so the people who bought them get their money's worth. It's not like the Witcher fans are any better.

Bioware has always had a blob of people being negative about each new game (I've been part of it at times). Since 2007 Bioware has gotten a lot bigger to the point of reaching the mainstream (there were TV ads for ME3), so the blob of people got bigger and mainstream also. It's why we hear more of it.
The same bad things about Andromeda were said about Jade Empire. Basically that it is a dumbed-down, linear, combat-heavy, poorly ported console game for children unlike its much more mature and better predecessors. People forget this because it was a long time ago. Even Neverwinter Nights got flak for using 3d models, it was a sure sign of Bioware selling out to the mainstream crowd.
EDIT: On second thought, the ME3 ending was a big deal and unprecedented. Inquisition was not a disaster of ME3 ending proportions - it was okay, though not quite the brilliant "return to form" people wanted after the ending. The ending definitely stands out of the general pattern as a factor of its own.

I beg to differ Trump is almost the president of the USA at this moment and his racist twittes were irrelevant. Wat. Bioware would have likely reprimanded Manveer at the very least if his tweets were about blacks. First "homophobia" was somehow a defense for this, and now it's "Trump"? Trump is only an obvious analogy, the most "important" job in the USA is going to be given to someone that has no filter on twitter. My point is, saying things on twitter mean nothing, it is like shouting in your house.

(or homophobic, or whatever) Twatter is not your house. Nobody listens to what you say in your house. In comparisons, Twatter is known to have had a part in various social movements and even in things like the arab "spring". It is most certainly NOT private domain. Apparently not, that is my whole point.

after the ME3 ending fiasco i can understand why people are warranting caution or skepticism of MEA(i am one of them but so far it looks potentially promising but given EA's nature to screw things up the future is uncertain). for me at least the only way to know/judge for sure is to either play it the day it comes out...or watch it on youtube videos. after that it is a matter of opinion...

Seems like every post regarding this game, on YouTube and other places. People are talking about how this game "will probably be terrible", how the combat "looks bad" and how "Bioware is a trash company". What gives? I'm really looking forward to this game. The only thing I'm mildly concerned about is that the gameplay might revolve too much around the Rover, I don't want another Batman Arkham Knight. I will say that I'm aware of the Manveer Heir situation, I don't really care about it and I'm not sure why it would effect peoples buying decision. I actually got a good laugh out of some of his Twitter post. ask Mac Walters and Casey Hudson

Well, good job guys. You've got just about every mod on the forums in here. Keep it cool all.
With ME:A--I don't like the anti-fans, the ones that go out of their way to bash anyone that likes the ME series. However, skepticism is understandable all around. I know LGB+ people are that feeling leery about the way the new gay characters will be written. Plenty of folks hated the pre-EC ending. I came along after that, but I watched that on youtube. It doesn't mean all of them are dreading ME:A. It does mean that they are feeling gun shy.
Now, I'm one of those weirdos that likes all of the ME and DA games to date. I consider myself a real fan, though never a fan boy. However, I'm not going to preorder the game due to my own caution. Every single BioWare game I've played since Mass Effect has had DLC issues for starters. They usually have to be patched before I can even mess with them. For another, the patch cycle for DA:I was bonkers. Something like a patch a month (or more) for over 6 months. I'd rather not go through that again.
With Heir--I'm going to be really careful here and say that my big problem with Manveer Heir's comments was that he did it on Twitter. I don't consider Twitter a personal space for anyone. Whether Heir likes to admit it or not, he works for a major and (at times) very controversal game company. He's got the eyes of the world focused on him as a result and should have expected a strong reaction.
It's like anytime a public figure spouts off on Twitter. People say those things and expect folks to ignore it? Maybe if more folks stopped treating twitter like it's something private between their friends there wouldn't be as many public figures shoving their foot into their mouth.

Because BioWare is held to ridiculously high standards. Yes, their fans telling them they can do literally nothing wrong is a ridiculously high standard to live up to. What you're actually describing is having no standards.
