I thought MEA was planned as a standalone. Do we even get to have a sequel? Bioware has a sage of Mass Effect games planned to take place in the Andromeda galaxy. It just may be that they aren't all with the same hero like the Shepard Trilogy was.

Hmmm...i thought the overall Bioware team itself was broken down into a smaller team overall. I don't really see them putting games out like that unless they have a group of 3 teams or more to work on these projects...usually there are some down time between projects. I don't see them working on Andromeda, then immediately working on the next project being that new IP, unless this is another different Bioware team altogether.

You used to be better at this Dutch. #MakeTrollingGreatAgain Indeed. Psssh, amateur hour. Here's how you do it: 2017 - MEA, another grand success like Inquisition. 10/10 GOTY IGN, 5.1 metacritic user score. Also 2017 - EA kills Bioware. 2018 - From the awesome people who brought us Heroes of Dragon age, Capital games, here comes another smashing win, Heroes of Mass Effect Andromeda! 2077 - CDPR finally releases Cyberpunk 2077. At last, a good sci-fi RPG, only had to wait 70 years for it.

Well if the newly formed EA Worldwide Studio is working as planned, it's likely Bioware will absorb whatever is left in EA Mobile and Maxis. Moreover, job listings will appear when the time comes calling for them. Nothing is impossible if it's funded by EA.

Their "new IP" seems like vaporware to me.

Depends on how successful the new IP and Andromeda is. They did drop JE IP after all, canceled the other game, and farmed out DnD and KOTor to Obsidian.
I am expecting to see a game every two years, but I have no idea which ip they will keep churning out. Right now they have SWTOR, DA, Andromeda and the new IP. I suspect one of them is going to be dropped. Part of me thinks SWTOR might get parked into a maintenance mode. My personal preference will be seeing Andromeda and new IP to release a few games, and DA get dropped in favor of a new development after DA4. If it's a fantasy, it's fine, just something more original will be my preference.
Obviously, if wishes were horses...

It's a great game, but a few months after here comes TW3 and now the internet thinks the Bioware game is just a terrible fetch quest simulator. Also DAI came out during a weak year in gaming. So the initial praise for the game was based around there finally being a decent game to play. After its novelty wore off in addition to the release of TW3, people really honed in on the shortcomings of DAI. It doesnt help either that EA claims it to have sold well and yet they never released any official sales numbers to back up their claim all while CDPR was pretty transparent with the sales figures of TW3.

Thought the only good one there was DA:O.

I'll assume you don't play many Activision games Dutch if you actually believe that.
First and foremost, Bioware has yet to ripoff it fans. Don't care how much some people may not like DA2 or the ME3 endings, Bioware has yet to pull what Activision has with Destiny and CoD
Now if you mean the lack of new IPs, then that nothing new hell alot of companies aside from maybe Ubisoft won't take the gamble and who can blame them with a fan base as fickle as this one

I thought this was about Mass Effect games alone and if Bioware would do something like Disney is doing with Star Wars.

If they have the manpower and studios to cover the workload I don't see a problem with it. It isn't as if they're producing an IP followup year to year.
So no, nothing like Activision.

I doubt ME or DA could ever be as played out as Assassin's Creed. I think any game could feel played out with a yearly release. In my opinion there needs to be a break so they can examine what was good and bad about a game and make adjustments to the next one to attempt to improve the game, otherwise it become the same game with minor adjustments and a weak story for time wasn't allocated to properly develop one. As far as the comments about Dragon Age: Inquisition, I enjoyed it after just sticking to the critical path for the majority of the game and enjoyed it a lot more after ignoring the padding content that BioWare added to attempt to please the people that wanted a 100 hour game out of a game that really should have only been about 30 hours because people were wanting that too.

Given all the hate Dragon Age: Inquisition gets in here I find it hard to believe there is high demand for a sequel? Generally people are most vocal when they're complaining, especially around these parts.

It's only natural to expect one coming eventually.

Generally people are most vocal when they're complaining, especially around these parts. I find any gaming board is full of complaining about the games they are dedicated to. Since CDPR is switching a lot of things when they finally release Cyberpunk 2077, I bet those boards are going to be flooded just like when BioWare has made any shift in the past even with the amount of complaining about how "BioWare abandoned its players" when they released Dragon Age: Origins instead of a new Baldur's Gate game.
