I'll assume you don't play many Activision games Dutch if you actually believe that. First and foremost, Bioware has yet to ripoff it fans. Don't care how much some people may not like DA2 or the ME3 endings, Bioware has yet to pull what Activision has with Destiny and CoD Now if you mean the lack of new IPs, then that nothing new hell alot of companies aside from maybe Ubisoft won't take the gamble and who can blame them with a fan base as fickle as this one If bioware EVER pulls a destiny, I'm done with them. That is one of the biggest scams in gaming history imo. Bungie will not be getting any more money from me. I gave it a chance because I loved their halo games but... man, talk about ripping fans off. Side Note: love the avatar! I was big in to MKX for a while.

Oh no! I have an opinion that's different than yours! No you just have poor taste. Actually you have no taste at all and clearly haven't played many games.

*read title* Hmm, what is this for info about annual release? *Look at thread creator* Oh, it's Dutch. No, even a blind hen might find a grain of corn sometimes. *read first post* Ok, no info or anything and nothing that seems like any real thought behind it. *Read whole thread* Ok, I now know that I'm a good judge of character and that first impression is usually correct, no relevant info, no evidence and only make simple replies that has no real facts behind it. Troll thread. Just thought that I should make a post about my impression of this thread. Have fun.

Generally people are most vocal when they're complaining, especially around these parts. I find any gaming board is full of complaining about the games they are dedicated to. Since CDPR is switching a lot of things when they finally release Cyberpunk 2077, I bet those boards are going to be flooded just like when BioWare has made any shift in the past even with the amount of complaining about how "BioWare abandoned its players" when they released Dragon Age: Origins instead of a new Baldur's Gate game. That is very likely true given I saw plenty of complaints directed at the TW3 for not being TW2. Also, in regards to the specified timeline of prospective future games. Probably more like a 2 year interval between releases since Bioware likes their DLC's...which I'm convinced they actually make more off their "optional" content than they do on their base games.

Wow, I am surprised at the comment about outcry about abandoning BG series in favor of DA. I came from the community that was loyal to a fault to BG series, and I have never seen any detrimental comments about Bio developing new IPs. Honestly, the only hate I saw was for NWN1, and that went away with the expansions that folks liked.
Overall, I prefer Bio to not roll with just one IP, as I have not to date found another company whose games I liked, and I prefer variety. It's just whenever I look at the description of other games, they do not appeal, save for the Assassin Creed, but when I tried looking at it, the sheer number of titles, and trying to piece together where to start chronologically just made me give up. No way I will ever be able to catch up on that franchise now.
Oh, Arcanum was another game I really was attracted to, but the graphics was simply unacceptable. I wish someone remakes it....
Anyway, I'd love to see a bio game every 2 years or so, with settings that slowly change.

Now it isn't to the same level as what happens now with games, but it was a lot of negativity in those posts just because BioWare wasn't doing what those players wanted.

Yep, I just have not seen it in my admittedly specialized BG fora (modding). I did not visit official bio boards much. We sort of just kept playing/modding BG and tried new games as they came along. So I was totally under impression that folks mostly saw the story exhaust itself after the ToB which was not the fav.

Seems like the drought of Bioware games is so that they can develop systems and teams to launch a new Bioware game every year similar to the yearly releases we had between 2009-2012. 2017 - MEA 2018 - New IP (in dev by ME Edmonton team since me3) 2019 - Dragon Age 4 (5 years after DAI) 2020 - Bioware Austin game 2021 - MEA 2 2022 - New IP sequel 2023 - Dragon Age 5 Thoughts? Ok you need a lesson in business EA is a company that has shared holders it must answer to and i bet EA officials are none too happy Bioware took 5 years to make a game if ME A fails to sell i bet they will make changes to how Bioware does its business Video games are a business

Given all the hate Dragon Age: Inquisition gets in here I find it hard to believe there is high demand for a sequel? DAI got unlucky. It's a great game, but a few months after here comes TW3 and now the internet thinks the Bioware game is just a terrible fetch quest simulator. no DA I got demolished by The Witcher 3 in fact ME A will feel the effects of The Witcher 3 cause when you face a legit RPG with a story vs a play land with a mute pc i know who wins that battle . DA I is a piece of dog Sh to the Witcher 3

DA I is a piece of dog Sh to the Witcher 3 It did? According to who? Sales, reception, fans? One game being great doesn't exclude another being good. Then again your comment has nothing to say about the quality of the games and why you think that is, just a statement that you think something is shit.

Overwatch is awesome, it will be fascinating to see Bioware releases something similar, though I prefer they stick with RPG. And it actually will be more painful if Larian gets acquired by EA.

Are they really still going with Dragon Age? (Haven't kept up with news on that) Thought the only good one there was DA:O. I'm pretty sure I remember reading something about DAI being “the most successful launch in BioWare history,” so they will probably make more, yes.

Depending on what kind of game their new IP is (all we know now is that it's a narrative-driven RPG?), then an annual release would be great, so long as they maintain quality. It'd be a different story if they were releasing a new Mass Effect game every year, as that would over-saturate the market.
