You may choose to wait but prepare to spoiled each time you log on to the internet because someone somewhere decided to post spoiler in the title of their thread or vid

I'm really thinking of doing this, but I'll like your opinions. Isn't the game much more fun playing it for the first time with all the story DLC's? yes it is for all buiware games, personally i play them at launch window time and i replay them each time a DLC gets released. This way every bioare game really has replayability as you notice the details, get to reexperience the game with NEW content. besides: HOW CAN YOU REALLY WAIT FOR ALL DLC? i want-need to give bioware MY MONEY

If OP decides to wait, good luck dodging spoilers in this savage internet era. yeah that's why for the first week or 2 after MEA releases I'll be going dark until I've had chance to fit in at least one playthrough of the game in Especially considering the fact I'm in the UK and we won't get the game till the 23rd

I'm going to start playing the MP right away. It'll probably be at least a year before I touch the campaign, and when I do, it'll be with all the available DLC.

In truth the only way that would make sense is if you plan to buy the complete edition later on and save money. Other than that there is not that much reason in waiting. If money is not the issue, then go and play it as soon as it release. You will experience the game without spoilers. If you are here this means you are a fan, consequently the chances of getting spoiled are pretty high. Make a favor to yourself. Buy it and play it at release. The additional DLCs will justify multiple playthrough.

The additional DLCs will justify multiple playthrough. I've already pre-ordered, so it's too late to wait for a complete edition. I don't mind spoilers though, and I don't mind supporting BW by paying full price for whatever individual DLCs they come out with. The main reason I'm going to wait to play the campaign is because I plan on just playing a ton of multiplayer for a while. I played through the original trilogy a half-dozen times, and consider them my favorite games every, but then after that I put about 2000 hours into the multiplayer, and in the evenings I still get on to play more often than not. Unless they really manage to mess things up somehow, I can't imaging I'll be any less addicted to the multiplayer in MEA.

I already pre-ordered.
If I love a game a lot (especially the world and lore), I buy before DLC. Why? When I can play the game completely fresh (major spoilers are avoided) and I can go and discuss things with others who have played. These discussions or speculations can run until the DLC comes out and then I have another injection of that universe, it's fresh and I get to enjoy it all over again.
Whereas, if I buy it complete, I experience everything all at once. I miss those 'between' moments, the sinking in of the original experience and the anticipation to see what comes next for the game. I miss hot topics (ME3 would've been a completely different experience if I knew about the ending) and can become spoiled about story details. Not to mention that hearing other's opinions on something can color one's own experience with it; I'd like to form my own impressions on something, if I can.
For other games, (usually those not made by Bioware) I wait to buy everything all at once because of the discount. I'm quite used to waiting on a game to go down in price, it's how my father bought them since I was a kid and with a lot of games nowadays leaving a lot out of the base product (can't believe that is actually a thing now...) it's a good habit.

Yes. Yes. And yes! This is 110% how I feel. To me, it's much funner to play it on the day it's released ( at least with Bioware games!). I love the community. Chatting with them, speculating, arguing discussing characters and lore. It's one of the main reasons I love Bioware games so much!

DA2 never got one mostly because I don't think it sold as well. These cdompanies need to know they'er going to sell before they do them.

Play the vanilla version now, and play with all DLCs in a year or so...
I just hope there's no BS DLC this time that releases at launch or a couple weeks after launch, which is clearly main content that was cut for the purpose of making more money. I remember those closed rooms on the Normandy SR-2 and leftover space in the character selection screen... Sorry EA, but I never paid for those DLC, better luck next time.

For me, it really depends on the type of DLC. Often it is nice and more enriching to play a full content game: for instance the DLC "From Ashes" which introduces Javik in ME3. But I also found that sometimes a DLC is meant to be played after the main campaign and playing it during the main game is just...weird (for me that jarring effect came with Lair of the Shadow Broker for ME2). However, the simple truth is, like a lot of people here, I'm just not patient enough to wait a year or more to play a "complete" game. I love having a reason to go back to do several play-throughs.

^Worst game ever?^ I'm assuming you have hard proof to back that statement up?
To the OP. I usually buy a game first and if I like it, I'll happily buy DLC's for it to further my enjoyment. It really makes no sense to me to wait, and then buy the game and DLC's together.

You know, people say avoiding spoilers over such an extended period of time is a difficult task in this day in age, but I was able to make it to Inquisition's Game of the Year addition without a single one (that I didn't deliberately ask for). The only spoilers that do seep though the blackout curtains these days are usually big twists. The ending of Firewatch and that level from Titanfall 2, and as much as it may pain me to say it, I don't expect BioWare to pull anything mind-blowing like that in Andromeda. Admittedly, I don't go on Tumblr, Twitter, or Facebook at all, and I consciously decided to take a break from the BSN at the time and I don't have any friends who are BioWare fanboys, so I had everything stacked pretty well in my favor. If that's similar to your situation, I don't see why you couldn't, or indeed, shouldn't. Hell, near-complete social network blackout might be a good lifestyle choice anyway (for productivity at least).
Waiting for the GOTY for any game is safe, economical, and overall a smart choice. No regrets, plenty of reviews released outside the launch hype, and bug and balance fixes you could need. BioWare games especially seem incomplete without their DLC as of late. If you don't mind not discussing the game when it comes out and missing the multiplayer peak, you really can't go wrong.

No. Some DLC is meant to play later on. Especially the DLC by BioWare. Arrival for example, was meant to bridge ME2 and ME3. It wasn't part of the main ME2 experience. Citadel was a farewell to the series and would feel very out of place if you'd play it in your first playthrough right before the ending.

I tend to wait with a lot of games nowadays, mostly because they are never optimized for PC so i just want everything patched and ready to go. Bioware games however are the exception to that rule, will not wait, will buy asap.

In DAI's case I could have waited if I really wanted to although I'm glad I didn't because it's become my favourite Dragon Age game. But with ME hell no as it's probably my favouriet game series I've ever played so I'd always support this new venture from the start
