Buuuut.. Optional sex scenes = optional nudity Drugs, I doubt that Ryder will be forced to take them too, and language well, you can't control all other characters This brings up the rather amusing idea that they could start doing a quest or quest chain like the drug tripping out quests from Far Cry (3 I believe). Totally optional, and I hope they do not do it because those were ridiculious, but hey, might be fun. I just can't see either of my Ryder's putting that kind of a halucingenic in their systems. Trip theory confirmed. Now, finally, ME3 makes sense. /sarcasm off

Strong sex? Meh, UK audiences don't give a shit, language, violence, sex, nudity, it'll get slapped with a PEGI 18 rating anyway, pretty relaxed over here.

What do you mean? Force to have sex? Or do you mean having nudity being thrown in your face? I cannot recall anything like that happening before. I was referring more to the other things, like language, drugs, and nudity. I know the sex scenes are optional. I can see your point. I myself don't like being forced to play a part of something that I don't want to. Personally I find the latter of the items listed a bit side distracting from the premise of the game and thus for me not needed. I also understand your view on the language. Most of the time in ME3 I hated the auto language that just was so inefficient and took up so much time. I mean seriously why? Why spend ten words on a sentence half full of vulgarity to say something that would only take 3 words period. And if not known ME:A IS GOING TO HAVE some AUTO DIALOG.... Yes. I got angry when I found out that it is being sneaked into the game.

Are you talking about auto dialog being sneaked back into the game? Yes. ME:A is going to have some Autodialog. Mac Walters confirmed it before Christmas. But here's the thing. Every voiced RPG ever has had auto dialog. At least that I have played personally. The only RPGs which don't tend to be non voiced. Even BioWare classics like ME 1 and ME 2 had auto dialog. And while DA I was pretty good in this regard it still had moments of auto dialog where the Inquisitor would speak out of turn and without player input. And they are hardly sneaking it into the game if they are admitting it openly on Twitter.

I heard the devs said they're gonna force Ryder to be a junkie who curses like a sailor though.

Shepard swears countless times throughout the trilogy, especially in later games when autodialogue becomes more prevalent. As for forced to drink, as I pointed out the Citadel DLC has multiple instances of this.

There was hardly any in DA I, that I remember anyways. Most of the auto dialog in DA I was how dialog should be used 'greasing the wheels' sort of thing. As far as ME 3 is concerned I agree because ME 3s auto dialog, and a few of the auto scenes, started to take control of Shepard as a character away from the control of the player. IE: If an auto dialog says. "But, I need to talk to you." That is a fairly neutral moment, that scene could come from you clicking on a guy and the guy tries ignoring you...but you just clicked on the guy. Wheras Shepard's auto dialog was more "ARRGHHH OMG LOOK AT ALL THOSE PEOPLE DYING ARRGHH" That defines Shepard's character. That and the moping after the fact.

What he's prolly referring to is like the Ashley scene where you meet her at the bar, and the two of you are sitting there downing shots. But all of those shots are paragon interrupts (I believe) and they are not forcing any of them on you.

The only one I can think of is the meet up with Miranda, but who's to say Shep fixed herself an alcoholic drink? During the party it's mentioned by multiple people that Shepard ISN'T drinking.

I was more annoyed by how they turned Ashley into a falling down drunk, and I don't even like her much so my opinion couldn't really get much lower. And yeah, the meet up is optional and you don't have to accept her challenge either.

I think Strong sex scene refer to the long and very intimate scene between two character Before they do "sex" (and I love to see it very much).
Drug & strong language should be optional for Ryder. I myself don't do drug or use strong word.
Alchohol treat as drug in Western? I am confuse right now.

Well, and the waking scene. Of course, it's kind'a ambiguous who left all of those beer bottles at your bedside. Your lover or you. Or both.

When was Shepard forced to drink alcohol and swear? Nothing springs to mind. The meetups in the Citadel DLC are all optional; that is, you can skip over them and still invite that character to your party. So, drinking with Miranda in the appartment and at the casino are optional; the drinking contest with Ashley is optional, as is the drinking scene at the bar with Wrex, Garrus, and Joker. In addition, in those last ones, Shepard is not shown actually taking a drink. For the party, the player can opt to have a quiet party and serve food instead. Here, Shepard will accept a drink when he/she sits down with James and company in the living room, but he/she is never shown actually drinking anything. I agree that some inferences of Shepard drinking are still there, but it's certainly not what I would describe as being "forced" on the player. The entire DLC is optional. Overall, I find the swearing pretty minimal in any of the ME games as well. Some of it is certainly avoidable by selecting different lines. All in all, I think most of the swearing you're hearing comes from the mouths of the NPCs. ... and the game is rated in a manner that accounts for the language and alcohol use... so, anyone who truly objects to it completely can avoid purchasing the game. That's why the rating system exists.
