Pff, this stupid taboo as far as nudity goes, I'll never understand. Then again, I'm from another continent so maybe that's a factor. As far as I'm concerned nudity doesn't necessarily have to be related to sex or romance at all. I lived near a beach in Spain for 7 years... desensitizes you pretty quick

As I expected. Nothing new except you get more frequent opportunities to have sex with the lights out or its equivalent. I suspect the novelty will wear off soon enough.

Game Ratings, explicit content notices, they're all about as useful as a one armed mountain climber with an itchy arse. "We've rated the game as 15+, so thats a sure-fire way of making sure no under age people get their hands on this game". Yeah that worked out splendidly for GTA.
Parents, dont come crying to Bioware or Rockstar when your child turns out to be a sociopath. Or is found in some nearby bushes making strange hand motions.

Fabulous! I for one like my adult games to be adult, without pushing it too far like TW2. DAI was perfect for me, swearing at the appropriate moments and occasional OPTIONAL boobs. Just as it should be imo, the day the politically correct police influence these things in BioWare games will be a sad one.

Honestly shouldn't surprise me, people will find reasons to be upset over anything.

I have to say that as a European I'm sitting here like this It makes no sense to me to come to a gaming franchise and complain about things that have always been a part of it. DAO had awkward sex scenes as did ME1, ME1 had drug taking and they both have swearing in various languages. To then say that they don't want these things in the new ME is stupid, it's already an established part of the games. To quote Cassandra, they're standing in the fire then complaining that it's hot.

I couldn't agree more. Everyone should just play what they like rather than try and change something that someone else likes. If someone doesn't want sex, swearing, and other "darker" things in their games then they should just play something that doesn't have them, rather than try and remove them from Mass Effect.

Wait, how this game can have ''Strong Sexual Content'' with just ''Partial Nudity''? Ratings are always weird.
But I imagine that the "Strong Sexual Content" bit comes from depictions of sexuality that go beyond kissing, which many games shy away from, combined with the "Partial Nudity" bit, which probably comes from brief flashes of butt and/or boob. If the characters where nude for any extended period of time, I would expect "Partial Nudity" would just be "Nudity."

As to reasons to get upset. No. Not upset. I don't get upset. Cool and Calm as stone. But I do get annoyed... Annoyed when I hear the same phrase 10 bloody times when once or twice would do just fine. Some people who know me say I jump straight into a fury mode. Just. Like. I think that was all DAI had, although I've only done Cassandra's romance. That's what confuses me. DA:I had that but it was rated for nudity, not partial nudity. Are there actually people against the nudity and swearing in games nowadays that aren't just the old Fox News crowd? Honestly shouldn't surprise me, people will find reasons to be upset over anything. Swearing is whatever (I find cluster F-bombs to be eye-roll-inducing rather than powerful and precision F-strikes to be powerful if used correctly), but nudity does make me uncomfortable, yes. If it's only in option scenes, I can live with it, but if it was in one of the romances I liked I'd be pretty annoyed. Apparently. Actually, both franchises got Darker and Edgier in various ways as time went along. ME1 and DA:O are still rated M, but they're much cleaner than later games in some regards. DA:O had only mild cursing - stuff you could say on North American TV. ME1 had pretty mild and rare cursing as well. DA2 added more cursing but no F-bombs, and DA:I added those (I actually found it pretty jarring since no one used those curses before). ME2/3 did the same thing. Obviously, DA:I introduced nudity that wasn't there before. So actually, I can say that I'm not a fan of introducing these things and not be a hypocrite, since they didn't start out with them.

Im not sure why you would think that the 'pc police' want to censor nudity or coarse language. In my experience it's the anti-pc crowd that tends to be the most socially conservative. I just think it's sad that we've created this weird culture in media where boobs are taboo but blowing an enemy's head off with a rifle is ar for the course.

Actually, both franchises got Darker and Edgier in various ways as time went along. ME1 and DA:O are still rated M, but they're much cleaner than later games in some regards. Obviously, DA:I introduced nudity that wasn't there before. So actually, I can say that I'm not a fan of introducing these things and not be a hypocrite, since they didn't start out with them. You think? I find ME1 to be the darkest of the trilogy, it has a grubbier look and feel to it and has that edgier soundtrack too. Perhaps that's why I feel that way. The use of red sand seems to be more prevalent in ME1 and the people seem somehow sadder and have less hope. And of course the awful sex scene that seems so out of place, both Origin's and ME1's are cringeworthy. There are blue bums and naked torsos, sideboobs and cleavage aplenty in ME1. To me 2 and 3 have more of a slick, Hollywood action movie feel to them that glosses over many of those themes, making everything a little more shiny and a little less real. I admit I haven't paid much attention to the f-words or the lack of them in the earlier games, I'll concede that point as you know more than me on that one. To add them where they didn't exist before perhaps is a little jarring lore-wise. But the nudity and drugs were, to me at least, definitely a feature of ME1 and DAO, to the point where they're just the same level in my mind as the subsequent games.
