Who is your favorite squadmate in the ME series?

Yeah, and James is actually a better soldier than Ash as well. And I played on 360 so I have no hope of such a mod. 

And I don't blame you with Kaidan. I've done his romance and its very good. I personally liked playing a Renegon female with him because he's such a by the books guy. It was like his yin to her yang. But I am quite frankly jealous. His romance is better than Ashley's who gets kind of shafted in ME3. But yeah, I'm one of those weirdos who feels Kaidan is best ME bro (next to Wrex) and not Garrus. 

And yeah, just a little while ago, I recently re-did playthroughs with various broshep romances. Jack, Ashley, and Tali romances still stick out as very good. I still totally get why Tali is so loved. She has really great synergy with broshep. Unfortunately Miranda is the one character who's romance was worse than I remembered. I also was not a fan of her repeating story arc from ME3. Its a shame because she's is easily one of the best squadmates in ME2. 

I know what you mean. As much as I like Ash, I find it hard to kill Kaidan. Ash dying on Virmire also seems like it makes a tad more sense because she sort of redeems her name and in ME2 its mentioned with great reverence (unlike Kaidan). And yeah I agree. I romanced him with a Paragon female but I felt a Renegon one was better because they sort of balance each other out nicely. And while Ashley isn't really a "renegade" character, I feel a paragon Shepard works well with her. Same with Jack. Its also because paragon Shepard with Ashley makes hilariously bad dad jokes that really makes them more interesting. 

Don't get me wrong, Ash's romance is still good in ME3 and she has strong moments. But I don't think anyone who likes Ash can say they liked her Citadel DLC drinking scene. Its not romantic nor was it funny. Where as Kaidan's can be funny, charming, and romantic all in one go. Or if he's your bud, it also plays well. I don't mind being in the minority in that regard. As you said, Garrus tries waaay too hard to be your bro. It feels more natural with Kaidan. Also, Ash is not as talkative as Kaidan on the Normandy which doesn't help. And honestly, Miranda is actually more of an Ashley ripoff with the sister arc. Ash had sister issues from the start and Miranda just continued it. And she gets the SAME arc in ME3 again. It felt more like a natural progression with Ashley's sister to me. I like how Ash looked in ME1 also, though she is obviously more attractive in ME3 because they made her that way. 

And agreed again. Tali and Shepard can be funny, heart felt, and interesting so that's why they are so good together. And I think you also lose out on a lot of interesting scenes if Legion isn't around, so its best to keep him alive. And my issue with Miranda is she literally has very little emotion towards Shepard. Many of the scenes play out largely the same with the same delivery and body language romanced or not. She doesn't seem as into Shepard as she should be given how "attached" she claimed she got. The Citadel DLC scenes sort of make up for it, but its not enough. Its sad when she shows more emotion if you break up with her or she dies than when she's alive and with you. But yeah, as you said I don't like her repeating the same arc with Orianna and also her wanting to find only her sister came off a bit selfish (especially when she wants to take away Alliance resources for it).

Also, Miranda's face will always be awkward looking to me. Which is weird because she's supposed to be the space hottie right? Jack and Ash actually look better than her.

Zaeed Massani, his voice acting was superb and I liked his no BS attitude. A true badass without trying to be one.

He is the kind of guy I'd pick first for a real-life squad - he has seen all, has done all, knows his shit, level headed and combat-proven, keeps BS drama to a minimum,  he is the kind of guy you can depend on when the shit hits the fan plus he always has entertaining stories to tell from which you can learn useful things from. 

I really love almost all the team companions, but my vote is always for the Major Alenko.
It's terrible to have only a vote! My second-in-charge is surely Mr Vakarian.
Kaidan and Garrus are always a great team to go with in every situation, too.

I'm glad there's only one choice. Kaidan is always going to top my list but choosing a second would be difficult. It would probably be some sort of tie with Miranda, Wrex and EDI. Third spot would likely be Ash. Over time, my interest in Tali and Garrus has waned. I do like their relationship with Shepard but, honestly, I think Zaeed and Kasumi would have filled the required roles in ME2 and then have Garrus and Tali return in ME3. That would have avoided their overuse. Liara, well, I think she would have worked better if she fulfilled an ME1 role like Dr. Ann Bryson did in the Leviathan DLC of ME3. I say this because Liara should not have filled the role of this amazing fighter who's barely over 100 and has spent the last 50 years on archaeological digs. Shiala would have worked better. Alternately, a much older Liara, who was an ex-asari commando who had always really wanted to be an archaeologist, would also have worked. I never cared for this "I'm shy but really want to jump your bones (regardless of you possibly stating your interest in A/K) and I can also kill the toughest enemies we come across." I hadn't noticed it at first but it became more annoying over time. The result is she nears the bottom of my list.

I've started playing only the Mass effect 2,but something did wrong and I died at the beginning of the game,so I've abandoned the series.

I did that mission 10 times and always died thinking I was doing  something wrong so I reloaded the game,Oh well i will just have to make it continue.

For my favorite dialog buddies: Mordin. Far and away the best dialog for me. Ashley next, then Tali, Zaeed and Garrus.

Joker has a special place in my heart.

For my favorite battle squaddies: Ashley and Miranda. Both seem to have far more effect and highly active AI offensive power, and survivability. I haven't used Wrex much.

For Romance: M_Shep with Ashley or Tali. For my FemSheps, she doesn't date anyone because I don't like any of her choices among the available 'special partners' in the entire Trilogy. She's lonely!

Secret Crush: Sometimes I wish FemShep had Mordin as a romance choice, with his knowledge of inter-species 'intimacy' techniques, and his repertoire in Gilbert and Sullivan songs. And... he's a pretty good dancer. Salarian rock music has it's nerdy charms. He makes me swoon. It could be a hilarious romance too, and what's wrong with that?!

I was once a great detractor of the Vanguard (hell, I still do not like them in 3), but what's their problem in 2*? I love it.
