I think that is one of the most underrated science fiction movies of all time, really liked it. Gave me them Black Cauldron feels, Titan AE's themesong from was pumping AF also, and I'm not even into rock. Mixture of correct Shinobi prediction and Saved by the Bell nostalgia, I give this post a hearty 12 pre-fabs out of 10. Well, I suppose there is still hope for some gameplay. I'm hoping for a glimpse at some more of the systems and how they all work too, I wonder if it'll be another AI video though? Seems quite soon since the last one but maybe they are ramping up their schedule (hype intensifies). Is ot by Blur? Also...is it a badassery trailer? We need a badassery trailer Awww shit that would be ridiculous awesome (ala ESO/SWOTOR quality level trailer) - Imagine a 5 min trailer done by Blur with Two Steps from Hell doing the music (brain explodes)!! think more halo wars, halo wars 2, crysis 1 2 3, halo 5, DAO...

Great. I can't wait to play Mass Effect Teenage Edition. I knew the characters would be slightly younger, but I'm turned off by these scene-kid looks. All that was missing was to give Ryder a septum piercing and it'd been perfect. We're right back to the rule-of-cool star-cast of ME2, sigh. Also, the dialogue here ranged from interesting to the sort of cliche'd try-hard kind of writing. "We're about to change the rules!". Yeah... it's stuff like that that makes me want to NOT buy this game. The age makeup for ME A seems similar to ME 1. Tali was virtually a teenager. Liara wasn't much better. Ashley was essentially a young marine on basically her first military assignment at the time. Wrex was a very old, very wise, Krogan, which essentially leaves Kaidan and Garrus which does not fit the mold. And Garrus I do not put in there because he is questionable. At times he seems quite young and relatively new to things but we also know he is a man with military experience already and C Sec experience on top of that. Tali wasn't virtually a teenager. She is 22 in ME1.

The switch to butch hair for women appeared with the change of game engine, so I blame that. Maybe good hair is just not something BioWare are capable of producing with Frostbite? Not all women had butch hair since the switch to Frostbite though, like for example Josephine has feminine hair. But did they offer such styles to us in character creator? No, they did not. They were also a lot of NPCs with short/shaved hair in DAI, much more than DAO or DA2.

Yes the association of numbers: many dudes have short unstyled hair, many women have longer styled hair. Therefore short unstyled =manly cut, longer styled= feminine cut. Now show me how you go from that to "x or y is masculine/feminine because of haircut". It's one factor of many. One some people yes, it does make or break it. On others not so much. It depends on the individual assortment of features. But you said haircut can make women look like dudes. Not a fan of the straight up (looks like a dude) haircut in the third picture but they still look better than this half shaved shit that needs to die in a fire. And as I said, going by numbers is ridiculous. Following the trends of the masses does not make you masculine or feminine, it just makes you look average. The majority of men are overweight and untrained, yet being muscular and lean is considered masculine. So only a small part of the male population looks masculine which completely proves that numbers don't mean anything.

They were also a lot of NPCs with short/shaved hair in DAI, much more than DAO or DA2. They offered a couple in the CC, though you are right a lot more weren't then were. I was just saying Frostbite alone can't be blamed for this since it can support feminine hairstyles.

Really loving the squad!! Vetra looks sick, drak looks badass, cora looks good, and the African guy [MOD-REDACTED] looks great. The trailer looked really cinematic on low fps consoles, it's gonna be so much better on 20 fps 1080p compared to 4k at over 60fps. This game is going to be much better on consoles with a controller, much better aiming than using a mouse. I'm sure this game will have an amazing story like mass effect 3 and an amazing satisfying ending like in mass effect 3. I loved mass effect 3s endings, our choices really mattered and affected the end, especially the rachni choice. They didn't have different coloured endings, they opted for meaningful endings which made sense and were well written. Amazing game. I loved the introduction of a brand new character in the last five minutes of the trilogy, that was great writing and I hope andromeda maintains the same standard. The low fps looked very cinematic. The xbox one is great.

I'm fine with the length it's the stupid half (or quarter, or 12% or whatever the hell) shaved cut I really hate and wish would die in a fire slowly while listening to Kai Leng in one ear and the holokid in another. If it was a normal short cut with the hair super styled one way like it is I wouldn't mind. Wouldn't be my favorite, but I could deal. Most of the female romances in TOR actually land on the shorter side of hairdo's (Mako, Nadia, Risha- Kira and Elara are probably pushing it as the former's covers her ears and the latter's in a bun) It's just an undercut with the top part swished over to one side. It seems to be common AF among Gen Y-ers, both boys and girls. If you don't like that kind of style then then that's up to you, but I fail to see how it justifies all the angst it's getting.

Why now would you have a problem with it, and ME:A emulating it? I figured someone would call me out on this. Yes, I have defended ME2 a lot but I was never against ME3 returning to more realistic portrayal of armor (minus Ashley's dumb designer outfit) such as showing people wearing helmets and full armor whenever it's Zero-g. Not saying this won't do that, in fact I think it will, but it looks like another "characters will never wear helmets unless absolutely necessary" cast because their hair designs and features are so in your face. And the rest of it is just vibe. You could say I liked ME2's rule of cool but not quite this. I think it's not just the youthfulness of the cast but also the "people on the street" look. Miranda may look like this gal <- but with black hair but her suit looks quite catchy and overall it's something special. Jacob also looks like your average black guy but in Cerberus clothes and Zaeed looks super special not just in the face but that weird getup. If you're going rule-of-cool do it right. This looks like they're wearing whatever Ai armor is needed (fine) but their faces are catering to that type of crowd that to to a hair stylist to look nice at college-parties. I'm just getting the wrong vibes here. This is supposed to be a space-trip and an important mission not "hang out at the crib with your bros and hos on friday". But again, it's probably their ages more than anything. I feel like the game is targeted at teenagers.

But your defense of you defending ME 2 makes no sense in context and its like you are talking about something entirely different. For ME 2 rule of cool you are complaining about their style of dress. For ME A rule of cool you are talking about their age. And you made no effort of distinguishing the difference, thus claryfying what you were talking about, in your original post. So we are/ were confused as to what you meant considering ME 2s cast was much older and more experienced then the casts...probably for any of the other 3 ME games.

Link"Guess"ski : You do realize that you can put both Liam and Cora in their helmet, right? (as I will). It's obvious they'd showcase them with their face clearly visible, especially since it's the first time we saw them. I think there's chance we can have alternate armours, but I'll take them over Miranda, Jack, Thane, Ashley and Peebee's default.

Trailer looks great!
I'm pleased to finally see what Liam and Cora look like, also we finally get to see some more Andromeda aliens!
I hope they don't name whatever planet we settle on New Earth, it's bad enough we have one home world called Dirt, we do not need another Dirt world please.
