I've watched the trailer in full 3 more times and it's slowly dawned on me that I'm really positively excited now. I think the thing that makes it click for me is this "archon" dude and then this line: "We're not an army. We're explorers". This is fucking, exactly what I wanted to hear. An intimate threat where the Pathfinder and co. stumble into conflict with a dominating species checks my personal wishlist from way back before we knew anything beyond "it's a new galaxy" and the Archon is probably a new evil Corypheus dude but the central conflict already seems to highlight the first contact with these species rather than some world-threatening force and the line I mentioned that Ryder says highlights that this is indeed about Ryder and co. discovering a new galaxy and finding their place in it more than anything. Also, what the fuck happened? This is great marketing? BioWare... is that really you? Linkenski? Praising BioWare...is that really you? I kid but I theorized yesterday the reason BioWare's marketing was lacklustre to this point was that they did not have the release date yet.

Trailer was awesome, really like how that showed off all the characters plus the main villain and a new alien race to boot. No complains from me, everything I would want to see in a cinematic trailer for a game.

Where should the story go if our faction is the dominant force, or rather, where would you want it to? no, I would not want go be the dominant force but I would like to be FEARED. In Halo When the Sangheili attacked the Legkolo world they found themselves getting their asses kicked routinely on the ground because the legkolo were TRILLIONS and collectively in their Meglegkolo forms way too strong to overpower....but the sangheili had the technological upper hand enough that they could obliterate their world from orbit. News flash we could too but either A: We were too dumb to bring over a dreadnought or B: The Andromeda Aliens are as tech advanced as us AND more numerous...thus making us the underdogs again.

Haha! I just saw it. I liked it! One of the things I loved is the way everyone is together. It feels like...it feels like good bonding going on? If that makes sense. I also loved how they're all together at the front of the ship experiencing this together. Liam's hair looks great! I mean, from what I understand, his hair is hard to do, but they got that texture down real well. All those little curls and what not. And did you see him trying to leap into the fray already. I'm like, Man, what you gonna do? Jump through the video screen? lol! "Surrender or burn" my azz! Shoot, we ain't scared of you. We fought Reapers. We been to hell and back already. Well, the Ai crew hasn't, but I'm just saying. We have. The MilkyWayans are a scrappy bunch. Don't be fooled. Looks good. Looks fun. I like the way everybody looks. The whole crew. Hey, Cora! What's up? She looks badass. And what a steamy kiss. Looking forward to it.

Specifically, it is during the Battle of Geonosis when the heroes are in a LAAT/i pursuing Count Dooku. The first line is said by Anakin, and the second by the Assault Gunship's pilot.

It's just an undercut with the top part swished over to one side. It seems to be common AF among Gen Y-ers, both boys and girls. If you don't like that kind of style then then that's up to you, but I fail to see how it justifies all the angst it's getting. A fact I utterly loathe every time it comes up. It's a stupid haircut and should be ridiculed at every opportunity. That's my only horse in this. I'm not on the "she's not masculine" train, despite my back and forth with Beetle. And no, to your second point, a fat guy's still a guy (typically) because muscles are once again, one factor of the common image of masculinity but not it entirety. I'm not sure why you're making this like a social thing, I'm just going by common accepted perceptions. There's a buttload of physical traits that are considered masculine or feminine and it's the sum of those traits (or perhaps that plus some other quality I can't really put into words) that give you the net effect of masculine or feminine image. I'm not going to list them all right now but they're easy to ascertain. And all of those come not just from biology, but cultural and societal perceptions and norms. Which is a big useless degree* word for (in this context): numbers First you say I'm making it a social thing and then you say masculinity and femininity depend on societal perceptions and norms? To get back to to my original point, which was the hair, fashion trends have little to do with masculinity and femininity, hormones is what makes you feminine or masculine, they have a FAR greater impact than wearing trendy clothes, having the latest hair style and going after the current social norms Ultimately numbers in fashion =/= numbers in a biological aspect. To give a good example, according to your definitions Jack from ME2 was very masculine in all things imaginable, clothes, hair (or the lack thereof), behavior, experience. She was nothing like the other women in the ME universe. Yet she was clearly just as feminine (if not more) as Miranda - because of biological reasons. No, I said masculine/feminine image depends on societal perceptions and norms. Why are we still talking about this? Sky is blue, water is wet, short hair is stereotypical dudeish (though as I've painfully reiterated, hair alone does not one gender image make). What are you trying to prove? Also image =/= fashion. Out of all the traits I've alluded to, hair is perhaps the only one that even touches fashion. All the rest are physical traits generally viewed by society as one or the other. I'm not even sure I mentioned fashion. You're kind of putting up strawmen dude.

I made a bunch of moving pictures of spaceships again. *Warp wobble intensifies* I noticed that the Nexus is completed in a couple of those shots. Specifically, the briefing ones. This isn't in-engine footage (I think), so is it just for trailer purposes? It can't be complete when Hyperion first rendezvous with it... Not to be negative, but I feel like Commander Shepard/Garrus would have just thannix'd the Kett ship back to whatever black hole it crawled out of

Great. I can't wait to play Mass Effect Teenage Edition. I knew the characters would be slightly younger, but I'm turned off by these scene-kid looks. All that was missing was to give Ryder a septum piercing and it'd been perfect. We're right back to the rule-of-cool star-cast of ME2, sigh. Also, the dialogue here ranged from interesting to the sort of cliche'd try-hard kind of writing. "We're about to change the rules!". Yeah... it's stuff like that that makes me want to NOT buy this game. The age makeup for ME A seems similar to ME 1. Tali was virtually a teenager. Liara wasn't much better. Ashley was essentially a young marine on basically her first military assignment at the time. Wrex was a very old, very wise, Krogan, which essentially leaves Kaidan and Garrus which does not fit the mold. And Garrus I do not put in there because he is questionable. At times he seems quite young and relatively new to things but we also know he is a man with military experience already and C Sec experience on top of that. I agree with the general point you're making, but Ashley wasn't a junior Marine. She was a senior Staff NCO and had been in the Alliance for 9 years at the start of ME1. Non-Commissioned Officer - Function
