Mass Effect: Andromeda Official Cinematic Trailer #2!

You talk as if Shepard would have needed a Thanix, when we all know a headbutt of them would have sent the Kett back to whatever hole they came from. 

Well, the event in the trailer seems to appear later on since Vetra, Drack and Peebee are on the ship, so they might've known us and our technology for a while.

Well, in the old trailer scene where the team is already captured and which therefore is probably happening later than this confrontation they were still wondering what made us special.

I suppose the translators will be updated for the Andromedan languages. I'm afraid that will already be done by the time we get there, given others are supposed to arrive sooner than us, which is a shame.

I think I've watched the trailer 6 times now. I haven't been this excited for a game in a long time

Honestly, everything I saw was exciting. Seeing the angarans clearly for the first time, the companions being revealed, etc...

Regarding the humans... Only 2 of at least 6 squadmates are human. Is that really too many for the human Ark?

Loved the trailer myself, that scene where you meet up with the Angarans is exactly the kind of thing I want to be seeing and the quote about being explorers and not soldiers was exactly what I needed to hear.

I would really love if the first time we see the Angarans and Kett they're in conflict and we've literally mistakenly popped into the middle of fight.

Underwhelmed by the trailer actually. Very underwhelmed. It looks, sounds, and feels like your garden variety Hollywood BS replete with hardheaded villains making boring threats (YOU WILL BURN!!! groaaaaan), kabooms, one-liners, military-bro mentality, and horny time. It reads like a literal checklist of insipid blockbuster nonsense. Of course, it doesn't mean the game itself is bad, but my god could they have done a more unoriginal and inspirationless (is that a word?) thing?

For how to make a solid military sci-fi trailer that actually looks interesting, go find The Expanse Season 2 trailers on Youtube.

How about roleplay?

I remember my Mass Effect not by BS Shepard nonsense at the beginning of ME3 (it's not about strategy, it's about survival! GROAAAAAN; well, apparently, I remember that as well). To me it's about the beauty of Ilos, first revealing what the Reapers are, seeing Omega, going on a heist, talking with Mordin about genophage, fighting for Tali on the Migrant fleet, holding in my hands the future of the Krogan on Tuchanka (Mordin: I MADE A MISTAKE!!!!) and of Geth and Quarians on Rannoch. It's synth retro soundtrack and sense of family and all the other little subtle things that make Mass Effect, well, Mass Effect.

I don't expect them to put all that in a trailer (how could they), but I do expect a little more effort than Hollywood Space Action Crap 101.

Also Ahriman, for someone with a solid number of posts, I'd think you'd be a little more welcoming to new posters. Your belligerence to me personally because you don't agree with my feelings toward the trailer is unwarranted and rude. I am not sure what I did to earn scornful dismissiveness and mockery. Now I know who not to reply to in the future, I guess.
