Mass Effect: Andromeda Official Cinematic Trailer #2!

Personally, I kinda love it. And I say that as someone who is in his 30s. 

I like that it gives room for me to see the character grow over time. Shep was a veteran when we got a hold of him/her, so it's a nice change

I think the AI is more of a re-start idealistic organisation, leaving with the best and brightest to create a new perfect world, hence the demilitarization of the project. It would explain how a project like this with absolute no benefits for the mily ways recieved such enormous funds.

But each initiation trailer was followed by a information on how it will majesticly screw up :
-The Ark and Nexus explained how the arks are capital to the nexus and how they will be escorted by only a few
-The Nomad and the Tempest being weaponless
-Cora being second in command
-The chief security gal
-Golden worlds

That's the theory.
-However we know shit is going to hit the fan for the Hyperion.
-Strong enemy resistance would be encounter
-Cora will not become pathfinder
-There are a lot of deserters, problematic when it is your security force
-Habitat 7 seems already occupied and not the only one

And I think it is exactly a point of ME:A. An idealistic but naive enterprise to create a utopy that will be confronted to reality. The AI will need to get weaponised, rally aliens and fail its original purpose hence moral dilemnas in the nexus government much like in the milky way.

It's not surprising that the guys look better than the females.  It was that way in DAI.  Hard to tell them apart from the neck up.

I would say that is zero chance of that because you have already made up your mind, you are not alone though there is number of people who are 'waiting to see' when in reality they are 'waiting to beak'

I have never seen one person in all my years of being on game forums that made posts like you made mashing everything and then suddenly say, Hey!  this game is great!  Or even 'Hey this game is better than I thought!'  Not once.

We already know about 3 regular posters on here who will hate the game but they will still have to buy the thing so they can have cred in the future bashings.  There are tons of people who take the games and company to task for the bad parts of the games but at least acknowledge the good parts.  The people that pre bash everything in all of their posts and then post bash everything are bewildering.

The baddie does remind me of DAI's but if it's anything like DAI there will be a real villain behind the scenes that this game is just a set-up for.

I enjoyed the trailer but then my expectations for MEA are pretty much that it be a decent action/space soap opera like the previous 3 were and if it is then I'll be pretty happy with it.

So I was watching the trailer again last night. I am now on about my 8th viewing counting all the reactions I have watched, and it occured to me: Andromeda is done very much in the vein of JJ Abrams Star Trek reboot. (Which for those keeping track is now the third thing I think they are going for). But, a blend of action combined with classic exploration elements with just a dash of modern character drama thrown in. Now I don't think this is a bad thing since I quite like the JJ Trek (heck more then the original even). But a lot of the scenes did seem to come straight out of the new Trek movies or at least very similar, more so then the relations to Marvel. When Vetra is telling Ryder, "Please, you're not really going out there on our own"...the scene in Trek 09 where the Captain of the Kelvin is going off to the Nerada. The line "We're Explorers, not an army," ripped right out of Treks into Darkness and its moralistic hand wringing from Scotty over their mission, but it makes a lot more sense since the AIs armaments is limited where Starfleet might as well be a military. The scene where the Tempest drops out of warp and hits the Scourage similar to the Enterprise dropping out of warp over Vulcan. And that very big dark cloud thing seems at least pretty similar to Krall's fleet from Trek Beyond. (though I admit its unlikely to be inspired by Beyond given the timeline but they are still similar looking in over all execution)

Of course this is not to say that ME A= JJ Trek, its going to be its own thing its just I think a lot of the inspiration comes from it. Which is cool. Because BioWare should be able to take that ball and tell a much better story.

You'll probably get a better first experience with the game that way compared to those of us who lack patience and want to play the game as soon as possible.

I honestly thought that Cora's hair was freaking awesome!  I'm was going into MEA wanting to romance the most adorable lesbian alien first with my SisRyder.  Now I'm just hoping that Cora is bisexual.  I guess even if she's not, at least that gives me something to look forward to for my BroRyder playthrough!
