@princeThere is generally speaking a huge disconnect between game media, and the gamer...well the gamer. The average gamer at least. Not saying there is any conspiracy between the publishers and the media, but the perception is out there. Though I find a lot of negativity to be the result of people when they complain tend to be a lot LOUDER and say a lot more when they disagree with something then when they agree with something. So you get kind of an echo chamber effect.

Well, you know, the now classic "White - straight empowered male protagonist" and all the shizzle some of them are writing in that section. These factions clash and the whole thing goes to hell. Don't even bother reading it. Hey, what's wrong with Miranda's ass? D: Look, this whole thing is something I rather not discuss here (Western Feminism), it's really pointless and unnecessary. If you really are for equality for everyone, unlike many I see, the you're a good in my book, and I personally wouldn't consider you as one. I just can't stand when people see a black guy and a woman with a different hair and somehow that means the ME team is filled with radicals and whatnot. It's really shitposting. Bioware is know for inclusion, and I fail to see how that's a bad thing. What I understand is how DAI toned everything down for a more fairy tale approach, in some way, considering how DAO was gritty and dark. I just want to read what these people will say once MEA is verified good. That shall be a fun time to live.If it's anything like the comments to the Angry Joe DA:I review when it came out (or indeed any video with something positive to say about DA:I) then I will have to avoid. And if ME:A gets similarly good reviews (which I hope and think it will) then the reaction from some YouTube commenters will be nuclear. Well, considering Joe Vargas is a commentator first, a reviewer second, of course they want that reaction. It's why I can't take his videos too seriously, even when I was working under him. |

Jesus, the YT comment section of this trailer was hijacked by the Alt - Right and Feminists, of all things to talk about, politics somehow is one of them. I don't know how people can see SJW & Racism material everywhere nowdays. Can't wait for this game to be critically acclaimed. I know man, it's mental: I never thought once during watching the trailer that it's trying to be inclusionary or whatever those extremists are yabbering about. I saw a group of semi-green space adventurers thrust into a bigger conflict than they signed up for, and the chance for us to grow along side them as they step up to the challenge poised to them by a new galaxy. Not "token black guy" and "butch blah blah man looking blah blah BioWare social agenda blah blah". It's like they think that the world isn't a multicultural place and the only haircut for straight or bi women is long flowing 'hetro' hair, omg...my brain hurts just thinking about these people lol. What makes me sad is how a popular view of Mass Effect that of a game about romances, with everything else coming in second place. And if you look at some of the creative decisions of Andromeda, like the captains' cabin, some of our squadmate design, the lattest trailers... it's clear this team sees romance as a much bigger part of the game than the older team.

I hate to say it but you better get used to for the next 4-8 years if not longer. I agree there was very little, IF any thing about politics and just because we didn't see Sara Ryder and Cora not making out doesn't mean there isn't any LGBT romances I mean for crying out loud it's a BioWare game I'm pretty sure that there will be LGBT romances I mean they've been doing LGBT romances long before it was cool. It's one thing to say that a person doesn't like Liam's haircut because they think it looks silly, but from where I come from that doesn't make a racist. That is why I prefer to watch Youtube videos on my Xbox One and/or PS4 because I don't have to put up with the garbage fire that is Youtube comments. |
