I must be exceptionally easy to please: I saw Jaal, I decided to buy the game right when it is published instead of waiting half a year. Waiting was my original plan. Plans change when you get motivated. Jaal motivated me. Unless I hear he is not into men. Then my plans may change again back to half a year of waiting. (God please let him be into men too)

I want to romance Jaal as much as everyone but I also can't really imagine it happening? I'm pretty sure he'll be a romance option of course, but how would it even come to that? Would it be like a enemies to lovers thing? Friends to lovers? They just know nothing about each other, they're from completely separate galaxies?? I'm afraid romancing Jaal will be an option we get very far into the game which.. I don't know if I can wait tbh
Unless there's a lot of tension and then everything just sort of happens all at once, but Jaal doesn't seem like the type for that... then again we know nothing about him so (okay but imagine Jaal being jealous tho)

If that's the case I wonder why we need his help so much? Maybe he's like a representative for the Angara? It felt so natural and so right? And in the first game he wasn't even a romance option (although I remember him joining the team and I just went "You. You will be my bby. I will love you.") and he ended up being an amazing friends-to-lovers romance. I hope we get something like that with Jaal, in the sense that it feels less like "here's your male alien romance option" and more natural, which I believe is what they're trying to do with the romance options in this game anyway so I guess we're lucky |

That reminds me of that episode of Deep Space Nine where O'Brien realized that Cardassian woman had a crush on him, and she thought he reciprocated because they argued constantly. And that's basically flirting in Cardassian culture lol Regarding least-liked characters, for me that would be Zaeed, but sadly Javik and Garrus are both not far from the bottom of that list lol You don't like Garrus? Maybe I'll get her to draw something of Jaal. It's typical 7 year old art but it can be hilarious. I remember I got her to draw Krem from Dragon Age and she drew him standing on a chair hahaha |

Okay maybe not tattoos, but parts of his body could be covered with those patterns on his head? They look like they're natural, so I can see him having something similar on his arms or legs idk, could be interesting. I wonder if the females have them too? Maybe that's why they cover their heads? It could be that it's not appropriate or something for females or maybe "leaders" or whatever. Looking at the trailer again I found this He looks like he's also wearing one of those head things? Also this guy who doesn't seem to have those head patterns so if they're not natural, who knows, Jaal might have tattoos after all |

I'm super stoked about romancing Jaal, and I love his voice already! I'm kind of hoping for some cute interactions between him and PeeBee. Idk why, but I could see some Asari hitting on him or other Angarans... I mean, new Alien species to bring into their gene pool. I'm honestly surprised with how excited I become by the day to romance Jaal, I'm not kidding. I was super hoping there would be a male Quarian romance, but with that looking less and less likely (sucks, but meh), I'm starting to really love the idea of Jaal. :3 I was hoping for an mquarian mance too but Jaal with this kinda pretty elfy purple weird legs cute feet totally different species/culture deal pretty much ticks a similar box, lmao |

Still hoping some quarians made it to Andromeda though. I want that male quarian squadmate some day. (Though watch we get one and he's not a romance. I would riot. And buy the game anyway. But still!) But yeah, pretty male alien with a cool accent and weird hands and feet, also purple. It'll do. Anyway I'm really hoping since they've teased us with info on him we'll get more than just a glimpse in a future trailer. And an official confirmation on LI status. Since they now revealed PeeBee too (so much for not talking about them... would it have killed you to confirm a male one at least, if you were gonna break your own rule there devs?  ) |

I don't know if you guys have been able to guess or not, but I'm a pretty huge Game of Thrones fan. Now as far as romance goes, Game of Thrones is fairly limited. But when there is romance, hot dayum is it good. To me anyways. Case in point, ma queen Dany and Khal Drogo. The whole "My Sun and Stars" and "Moon of My Life" stuff got me in the feels. The shifting power dynamic, the fact that a male character is fridged this time around to propel the female character's hero journey. I think their relationship had a lot going for it. Back to Jaal. I'd love it if he had a name for Ryder, that similar to Drogo and the Dothraki, was related to angara culture. A romantic nickname or association with something from his culture that is reflective of his love for Ryder. I could be wrong, and Jaal be a tragic romance, or one that leaves us hurting like Jacob or Solas. But if there is any candidate for the epic, swoooning romance I'm hoping for, I think Jaal could be it |
