How do you guys feel about the paragon/renegade system being scrapped? Happy. I prefer to have more options to develop my character's personality.

How do you guys feel about the paragon/renegade system being scrapped? I'm glad... Paragon/renegade was to black/white for my liking. I prefer having the ability to react differently in different situation. And not to have to be always nice or always mean. With out paragon/renegade I hope we have more freedom to react more flexible to different situations.

How do you guys feel about the paragon/renegade system being scrapped? Good riddance. It didn't bother me, but I never did any choices that followed "now I'm paragon/now I'm renegade"-lines. Then I ended up using save editor in some playthroughs. My first playthrough is always me just being me, then all the other playthroughs end up being me just being me, so thanks go to person who made the save editor.

How do you guys feel about the paragon/renegade system being scrapped? Somewhat sad. I didn't like how being neutral was like bad thing and you always had to pick either paragon or renegade to grow your points so you could do things like save both Quarians and Geth etc. But I liked the different interruptions for sure and the system had quite fun dialogue options too. My characters weren't that black-and-white or blue-and-red should I say, they were either Paragades or Renegons, so I didn't think the personality was too shoe-horned by it. So my only problem was how the game punished you for picking neutral and you had to build points.

Same... But if having fewer squadmates means they're written better and more interesting and have good character development then I think I'd be okay with 6 squadmates The thing is.. that usually it doesn't mean better characters for me, it means more text for boring ones. ME1 and ME3 have less squadmates than ME2, but- they are pretty boring compared to ME2's colorful cast. This is just subjective opinion of course, but it seems that when BW game has less companions the companions they have tend not be that good. But when they have these companions that aren't even focused that much in the game.. they are way more interesting (aka Thane, Legion, Kasumi- 3 of my fav characters in the game). More squadmates seems to give them permission to go explore more colorful and less seen characters than just insert another Alliance soldier or mandatory Asari to the game. That's why quantity brings quality for me cause without quantity quality wouldn't exist. Though I'm being bit harsh with this, it's not like can't stand some ME characters or anything like that. It's just that they aren't my favorites and they could be more interesting to me. If I could decide squaddies for ME:A I'd scrap Liam, Cora, Peebee, Drack from the squaddies and insert young adult Drell that is rebellious towards Hanar and tradition, AI character who is not finding their individuality, but has already made that journey, Batarian that has conflict of trusting humans etc. Something fresher, more interesting.. But that would be just what I like. I'm fine with what we got since at least Jaal and Vetra feel like that to me. Lol I really went to places while writing this ^^; Basically is my same fear. The usual soldiar alliance would not be in my priority as team members. I would have a rogue, or a mercenary, anything that is not the usal "safe" goody soldiar. And I guess this is the problem with few companions: those few characters have to be "safe". More companions it mean writers can go with more gray and different point of view and moralities. More out of the norm personalities. With fewer companions, those have to be more appealing to a wider public. So we have the ultimate bro-stereotipical soldiar Vega, the goody soldiar kaidan/Ashley, the usual brute Krogan, and the reletable cute Asari.

I would say after Drack we can probably expect a bit more info on Jaal. The order seems based on who you meet first. Cora Liam PeeBee Vetra Drack Jaal We still missing one squad member, right? If I remember correctly there was a leak or something that we'll have magic 7 number. A Salarian was cut as a squadmate it seems. Game became too big. Not sure if he was the 7th or not. Nothing wrong with talking about Jaal here, but on Twitter I don't see the point in bothering the devs about it, especially when Drack's info is next. Boy those devs are hyped though! Ended up caught up in a convo with them over Vetra last night. Got to meet another person that worked on her thanks to Gamble. It was fun!

I think for the first time I have a little tiny bit of speculation/wish for Jaal, and I thought I'd ask opinion: I'm thinking he might be the infiltrator of the team, does that sound right? SR, visor and maybe even tactical cloak/poncho So, assuming he was an infiltrator, maybe he could be a spy? I know it's a little too much like IB, but I'm thinking more like head of the intelligence service or some high rank spy dedicated to protect and advice the angaran leader, something like that. I admit it's a little of wishfull thinking because I love spies (they're usually so cool, wordly, smart, tough ) but, does this sound likely or more or less in line whith your speculations? or what is what most people here is expecting?

Sniper Rifle appears to be his preferred weapon, so yeah, that would make sense. We'll find out when they release his info. Probably at the end of next week!

When they talk about the cut salarian squadmate, why do I keep imagining a salarian infiltrator? Other than an engineer an infiltrator is the class I think of when I imagine having a Salarian squadmate. Would have been really fun imo if we had a salarian soldier for a squadmate with a nack for giving Captain Kirrahe level speeches.

When they talk about the cut salarian squadmate, why do I keep imagining a salarian infiltrator? That would have been pretty awesome! They said the game became too big, so I'm wondering if he was the 7th or 8th and we still have a 7th one to come? They seemed to try and keep the numbers even for the first few games (6 in ME1, 12 in ME2), but ME3 had 7.

Huh this line of thinking never occurred to me. I mean, yeah Jaal being an infiltrator is likely, but I never actually thought that might affect what he does for a living (dang gameplay and story segregation ). I wouldn't think he'd end up being too much like Iron Bull if he turns out to be some sort of spy/intelligence agent as long as his personality and arc are different. Leliana was a spy of sorts, but she and IB were very different. I'm personally leaning away from him being a prince though he doesn't strike me as dumb muscle either; he seems more noble in character rather than station to me. But any speculation is just as good as any other at this stage. We'll just have to wait and see which one of us is right.

I'd like to have seventh squadmate, it's often more the merrier for me (since I tend to find most popular squadmates boring and like the late additions). Maybe they'll surprise us with a Kett squadmate?

If there are seven squadmates, I've been wondering if Jaal might land in the Explorer role, with a mix of all three specializations. It matches the general feel I get of him as curious, smart, and adaptable. Obviously we're not going off a lot of info here.

True, I forgot about Leliana! and she's more than IB the kind of spy I had in mind, more precisely in her role of left hand of the Divine.

They said there are several andromedan races so I would have thought we'd have at least two in the squad. A khett would make sense. I can see one joining us because he/she might be against the fight between the Khett and the MW races and wants to help us as a sign that Khet and and the AI can cooperate.

Touché on the gorilla thing... but WOW, about the cat thing. I broke a major rule... DON'T VISUALIZE!!! barbsbarbsbarbs This reminds me of a book in The Elder Scrolls series. Oblivion and Skyrim's version are censored. But the Morrowind version has a detailed sex scene between a khajiit and a darkelf woman named, Barenziah. In the uncensored version, after they finished, the Khajiit laughed at Barenziah, who screamed in both pleasure and pain. Barenziah "That HURT!" Therris "Always does, kid. Didn't anyone tell you about Khajiit men? It hurts good now, doesn't it?" www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Real_Barenziah,_Part_III Wikis suck, but if you like TES UESP is your lore site.
