Artemis no it's fine, I'm just saying I won't be joining in the OT chatter anymore. Please feel as comfortable as you can and chat about what you like. I would be sad if you didn't because of my concerns! Kymira All Thane did in my game was use Warp. Drove me crazy lol if Jaal has some sort of attack that's based on his race, I'm just hoping it's not another crazy charge into battle like the others. He looks... squishy lol  Ya ME2s AI wasnt the best. I remember Garrus kept switching off his armor piercing rounds and im like GARRUS NO.  *switches it back on* All my angaran thigh chokehold jokes aside, Jaal seems like he likes to be deadly from afar. If he has some type of crazy ANGARAN RAGE move ill be really surprised. Ashley in ME1 keeps switching to shotgun when I'd honestly prefer she use a rifle  Btw it is a little weird how everyone is super versatile in ME1; I just upgraded Liara (just recruited her) and forgot she has electronics skills. Since we know they have mentioned a few times they are, in a way, making MEA as the sort of "ME1 we always wanted to make" I have a feeling the companions will be similar to ME1 in terms of skill sets. I think we may not see strict biotics/vanguards/infiltrators. Skills will be based on character and not some dungeons and dragons skill sheet. That being said, I'm leaning towards Jaal's abilities mirroring who he is as a person. We already see Liam being basically a techy dude but who walks around with giant fucking swords on his arms lol As we learn more about Jaal (beyond merely "dapper" and "sir") I think we will be able better guess what his abilities will be. I guess that's a little obvious, but, here's hoping we get a character sheet on him. (Though on the other hand I almost don't WANT a character sheet on Jaal. I'd rather discover everything about him in-game... aside from whether or not he'll sleep with me of course...) In other news... Ah, you shouldn't feel the need to restrict yourself, like Artemis, I've been a member of various threads on BSN down through the years. It happens, people go OT now and again for various reasons but we eventually find our way back. Newbies are welcome, we don't bite, tis good banter in here, de-lurk lurkers.  Can confirm. All threads on BSN go off topic, friend. No worries on that front, as long as a mod isn't in here screaming at us then I'm sure we're good. Besides, it's not like we have much to talk about right now. When DAI came out and we were speculating on companions (I was pregnant on bed rest so I LIVED on the threads) there was so much off topic convos going on and as long as it wasn't something offensive or anything, it was cool. I'm sure the mods here remember those days too hehe If we manage to steer back to Jaal at least every ten pages, that's already impressive considering how little information we have.  Seriously, all they have to do is drop a couple more screenshots on us and like one line about his personality and we'll pop out 20 pages. Drop his voice, 50. |

Ya ME2s AI wasnt the best. Yay! Finally off work, so now I can catch up! JewlieGhoulie, I think it was you, but just wanted to let you know, I think your English is great! I'd be happy to chat with you. I did just start my "work week", but I'm off on Monday - Wednesday and I am usually stalking this thread so feel free to pm me. feainn, I have to say, your oopsie absolutely made my day!!! I am more than happy to now add it to my vocabulary! Can't wait to try it out at work tomorrow! I am trying to think of other things/topics that we haven't touched on about Jaal, but inspiration just isn't striking me.  It seems like we've covered about as much as we can. At least until they drop some more information. Bioware, you pissed me off! Releasing a video tomorrow that I won't be able to watch until I get off work! I actually think if Jaal is the serious, proper type, it might be fun to troll him a bit... Provided he has a sense of humor about it back. Maybe gives you a long-suffering sigh but you know he's secretly amused. Sort of like how Cassandra actually appreciated you joking around with her. Just as long as Ryder isn't too much of a jerk about it of course. Some of the things that would come out of a renegade Shepard's mouth...  |

I think it's fine. When I quick-skim through the pages to do the summaries, I notice that we always manage to circle back around to Jaal. We're actually not as off topic as it might seem! And especially where we just have so little to go on. I just imagine his bio coming out and he'll be nothing like what we thought! Like how all the Vetra fans were speculating she'd a be a good honorable Turian and the mom of the group... they couldn't have been more wrong. I don't really care if we're off the mark as long as he's interesting, but... it'd be a lot easier to speculate on his friendship/romance/fight style/who he'll get a long with if we had at least a quick bio like the other squaddies have... In the meantime, well... as long as the discussion is at least mostly Bioware related I think it's fine. |

I was just playing ME1, and the stupid game 'has quit working' on me. I forgot it did that randomly. Good thing I hadn't gotten very far, but I still have to repeat Wrex's armor quest & some resource gathering. Which is a PITA, because I hate driving the Mako. Here's to hoping the Nomad is sooo much better. Anyone else trying not to get their hopes up about the gameplay stuff tomorrow? It would be nice if they were to sneak some Jaal in there. I don't care a bit about what guns or whatever are going to be in the game. But I would love to see more from some of the other stuff. |

I am hoping we see some squad combat at some point where all the companions are featured at least a little - even if the focus is more on their combat style, watching them zip around the battlefield doing their thing would be cool. But I kind of suspect that'll be in another video, where they focus on how the squad AI works and how (if?) we control it, and not tomorrow's. |

I just really want to know Jaal's base personality. I like the bios because they don't tell us THAT much about the characters. Just enough that we can speculate how we might want to interact with them/how they'll interact with other companions/how they may act in a romance.
I just want one legitimate hint at what Jaal is like! The dapper gentleman may be real, but that's just based on a couple words that were tossed around.

When I say bio, its because the bio's list the class and signature ability that each squad member has, and we don't know yet what Jaal does...annnd combat and abilties vid..So ya! I'd want to see him in action, but if he's not in it tomorrow I won't be surprised. OH Whatever HE BETTER BE IN IT. I'm just trying to de-hype myself. |

Dude I am currently stuck on Eletania I cannot get past these geth. I don't know what to do! I don't want to reload a previous save and skip this until I'm stronger but I might have to. I am bad at this game I'm right there with you! Not Elentania, but I'm stuck on Therum, when you have to take the Armature on foot I'm trying to use the console to cheat but that's not working either! Seriously throwing off my groove, man. I have such a love-hate relationship with ME1... but I adore the combat in ME2 and ME3, and I really, really want to just get to those. (At the same time, I just have to do a completionist run of ME1! ARGH!) |

Every sniper one hit kills me And the geth destroyers spot me from a mile away and suddenly they're on top of me!! and Tali and Liara, I swear they're doing ritual suicide when my back is turned or something b/c they die in like 5 seconds. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Could really use a Jaal in a sparkly cape right now!!!!! |

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Could really use a Jaal in a sparkly cape right now!!!!! ZOMG! You are awesome!  You are doing an insanity run!!!! Now I feel so wimpy for always playing on story/easy mode.  Oooh, there's a question! What mode will everyone be playing Mass Effect: Andromeda on? Most definitely I will be playing on the easiest level, because yeah, I suck at shooting games. |

Ya ME2s AI wasnt the best. I remember Garrus kept switching off his armor piercing rounds and im like GARRUS NO.

Btw it is a little weird how everyone is super versatile in ME1; I just upgraded Liara (just recruited her) and forgot she has electronics skills. Since we know they have mentioned a few times they are, in a way, making MEA as the sort of "ME1 we always wanted to make" I have a feeling the companions will be similar to ME1 in terms of skill sets. I think we may not see strict biotics/vanguards/infiltrators. Skills will be based on character and not some dungeons and dragons skill sheet. That being said, I'm leaning towards Jaal's abilities mirroring who he is as a person. We already see Liam being basically a techy dude but who walks around with giant fucking swords on his arms lol As we learn more about Jaal (beyond merely "dapper" and "sir") I think we will be able better guess what his abilities will be. I guess that's a little obvious, but, here's hoping we get a character sheet on him.

Then again, maybe they won't show much of him due to his bio not being out yet. 
I cannot get past these geth. I don't know what to do! I don't want to reload a previous save and skip this until I'm stronger but I might have to.
