Jaal Ama Darav (Official Thread)

I found if I played the Paragon route with Garrus, he really did want to bend rules to help others. It was sort of odd having the option to make him a Paragon/Renegade though.

Now that I think about it, Jaal might be our Garrus-like Sniper, but I think he looks like he might bend the rules just to get the job done.

I am all for this too, as long as the romance scene doesn't happen right before the big finale.  I'm pretty over that formula. 
Slow buildup, BAM, then more convos.  About stuff.  And feelings.

Thinking about it now, I think it'd be pretty cool and immersive we get some nasty comments from some if we decide to romance an alien. After all, let's be real, I'm sure most of the people sent to Andromeda are rather young for a reason. But heck, why should that stop us? After all, if we were smart, we'd have brought over a whole sperm bank just in case.

Personally, I'm hoping, though at the moment uncertain of, a sort of, star crossed lovers type of romance with Jaal.

I'm just thinking about the wider context of Ryder and Jaal starting to have feelings for one another.

Because let's face it, both are naturally going to be in a very unique position in that they have never crossed paths as species' before, and there are so many unanswered questions, about everything, not only is there the natural feelings of uncertainty regarding one another.

From the humans perspective, are the angarans peaceful? From the angarans, something similar, do the humans wish to coexist peacefully, or are they invaders like the kett believe.

May there be huge controversy among the other angarans if Jaal falls in love with a human? A voice in the trailer that could be an angaran hints at a possible scenario such as this playing out.

I love those sorts of romances, a sort of, forbidden nature to it. This idea of the angarans forbidding Jaal from being with a human, but his love for Ryder knows no boundary.

I'm also hoping we get a great new love theme in Andromeda. We had I Was Lost Without You which was beautiful in ME3, but to accompany my theory on the possible star crossed lovers romance between Ryder and Jaal, I'm hoping for a love theme along the lines of...

I love that idea but Andormeda is already explored by some of your squad and humans, and sexual relations with an Angaran might have already happened. We see quite a few on the Nexus so it might not be uncommon. We aren't the first humans to arrive there. What could make your idea sort of work is if Jaal doesn't like humans at first and refuses your flirts, then things chance if you progress with him.

Yeah status could play a huge part in that too!

But for all we know he could be a big flirt and is all over you when he sets his eyes on you, and always tries to seduce you. 

Rynnju  To be honest, when Ian said "ALL the bang" it sounds like the Angara are very sexual creatures. Even the joke about not removing the monocle during sex tweet was favorited.

Ha, well a well-known military figure may be more likely based on the fighting skills and scars. But who knows, maybe they have one of those "royalty/leaders also must be military leaders" cultures.

I mentioned that in the romance thread. If my Ryder leans provocatively on the table in front of Liam and plays with her hair, she's going out the airlock!
