What if they likened him to Cullen? watch the fangirls panties catch fire. And I'm just over here wondering, what are my options? Bioware pls Based on leaks: Probably Pee Bee, Vetra, & Suvi the science Officer.
I can say for sure that Pee Bee is one of your options based on information from my friend who saw the scene first hand.
Another leak claims that Vetra is "queer" and that Sheryl Chee had to fight to get her available for Sara. The same leak says that Suvi is the lesbian option (a la Traynor).
So that's 3 out of the 5 females Tempest for you. And there's still Dr. Lexi, who, if she's an option, will likely be for Sara as well.

Never say never again. I have a feeling the wait for the data mining is going to make for some really long days for a good while. I hope the datamining reveals which romances are sexual and which ones are not. Though I fear it will just be who they are available to.

Never say never again. I have a feeling the wait for the data mining is going to make for some really long days for a good while. Let's hope for some good news in those datamining finds. Yep, cause we aren't getting any good news from any other source. Though marketing has caved before, but it seems this time they just don't care since they don't have official sources to be responsible for anymore. So the EA marketing team is just counting all the preorder money and are blissfully unaware that anyone disapproves of this situation. The devs are left to be the face of the bad guys, and it really isn't fair to them or us. That's why I won't tweet anyone, cause I get it. Not their fault.

I mean it's probably for the best or the asexual relationships would consist of high-fiving and drinking beer.

I also just remembered one funny thing. Leaked DAI scenes with Leliana killing Cullen and being old and scary. And everybody thought that was legit stuff happening in-game, used to build theories back then. So, there's a hope... Yes? Yes?..Killing Cullen - champions of the just, old and scary - in hushed whispers. They are in the game. Out of context scenes, but they are in the full game. Yep, I know. I played to 100% competition more than I would like to. Bad wording on my side, I meant "really in-game, happening not in a fade-distorted reality/mind". But nobody knew it back then.

I think the problem is who they are choosing to tease, who they are pandering to, and who they are directing the most info at, and that's why this is unfair. And also who they are shutting down, which only leads to resentment and frustration. Honestly, this is why I'm frustrated. I'll be a little annoyed if gay guys only get NPCs. But if they are good options, then I'll be less concerned. It's nice to be able to bring your LI with you on missions, but it's not the end of the world if they can't join you. And I came into this process fully expecting that gay guys would get the least options and it's looking likely. So that's not making me any more annoyed that any other Bioware game. I'm annoyed with how it's being handled. First it's "We aren't talking about romances." Then it's "Prettygoodbanging". Then it's "Pee Bee and Jaal are LI's". Then it's "here's Cora and Scott". And, throughout all of this, it's "Sorry, no can say" specifically to questions about m/m content. A user with a male name asking about Jaal as a romance option is not the same as asking if Jaal is available to Scott. The former gets acknowledged (but could very easily be in reference to Sara), the latter gets shut down. It feels like that whole "Well Shepard can't be gay. And asari aren't females, so she can't be lesbian either. Well, okay, she can be lesbian, but not a gay guy, sorry. Oh, okay, fine, here's a little m/m content for you in the final game." thing.

Gentle reminder that pre-DAI male fans did tweet about Cullen and the devs would respond favorably. So just because a male fan asks about Jaal and a dev responds positively doesn't mean they're suggesting a male player character can romance that character.

Which is why I will still be frustrated about the no bi or gay male squadmate thing if it does come to pass. Because when your argument or at least the implication of your argument basically boils down to: gay/bi males don't make sense as squadmates, it's more than a little problematic for me.

I understand these concerns, but I think there may be a lot of reading into things that don't necessarily mean what we think them to mean. I've seen a lot of men and women ask about Liam, and Kallo, and other love interests and romances, but there has been no answers for them. None of that should mean they don't care about m/m or f/m romances, or that those characters aren't romanceable. I think we are devaluing the care and consideration that BioWare do have for their LGBTQ fans, and the LGBTQ community in general, personally. I know its frustrating, this whole situation of not knowing the romances is frustrating. But we've known for a long time now it will be this way.

Again, the same can be said for women and female fans.

This is one of the reasons I was averse to romancing Dorian at first. He seemed so... stereotypical, to put in one word. Ah well, no one can hide from a datamine, just ask Nintendo. We'll learn in some long, cruel, horrible time...

Everytime I see a dev say it has to fit their personality I realize that I must not be gay. I wear teeshirts most of the time for god sakes...there's not a fashionable bone in my body. I'm not gay. I can't be. It doesn't fit my character.

At the start of this thread, there was another leak that said the complete opposite of the other leak about m/m options. There have been leaks contradicting what has been said about Vetra, and there was another one contradicting Dave's info. Really, at this stage, its all become a whole lot of "He Said", "She Said", "They Said".

Never say never again. I have a feeling the wait for the data mining is going to make for some really long days for a good while. I hope the datamining reveals which romances are sexual and which ones are not. Though I fear it will just be who they are available to. If there are non-sexual romances at all, they'd better at least be upfront about it. Dont wanna get all the way locked into a romance only to find it out at the last moment.
