Just so we're clear, I am 100% on board for shipping Cora to the gay women if we get someone more traditionally feminine looking in return

Be careful when making sweeping statements because no matter how subjectively you see the situation as you cannot speak for others. That was not directed at any one person but I see the XYZ demographic wants... statement pop up a few times.
As for me some people fit stereotypes sometimes sure but one that really ruffles my feathers is dominant and submissive nonsense especially if it exactly matches character size/appearance/voice.
It reminds me of that backwards husband that refused to sit behind his wife on the Celebrity Apprentice, and Arnold Schwarzenegger even called out the missed opportunity (the project was about expanding the appeal of a motorcycle brand).

Sad but true. The always-bisexual stripperific space babes and 99% femme LIs don't do much to disabuse me of this notion. This is why I o.O about everyone wanting a butch lesbian. I get that some people have types, but I feel that would hit some stereotypes. Like they haven't had stereotypes before.

With Cass i can see the butch surface stereotype even if underneath there was a complete excessive femininity of her romance.

Anyways, I would love Bioware to throw us the most aggressively butch love interest ever and give her a complex, interesting, non-gendered character arc and romance, with at least some connection to the main plot. That'd be the dream, man.

I'm a bi guy whose not exactly educated when it comes to LBGT stereotypes (not exactly sure that's a bad thing) but Sera seems to resemble a butch women from my limited understand. Does baking cookies somehow disqualify her? Does she need to have even shorter hair?

But she's still waaaaaaay more feminine (in looks) than your average butch woman. Her haircut is quirky-cute, she wears adorable leggings, even her strappy tunic is more girly than not.

I'm not gonna rehash this argument again, let it suffice to say she's not in the same mold as what constitutes conventionally attractive And that has what to do with people's opinion? You stated that finding her attractive is wrong, (just as believing the earth is flat is wrong). If you said that not everybody will find everybody attractive, you should be right. But you decided to talk in absolutes, which means that you think that your opinion is the only right one. And the fact that there is people that disagree with you prove you wrong.

Sera wears eyeliner, a tight dress-tunic thingy with a low neckline, shows off her shoulders, etc. Basically, a good rule of thumb is: if you can't imagine your average dude wearing what she's wearing, then it's not butch.

No I'm talking about her fulfilling the role as conventionally attractive. That is not something you have an opinion on, she either looks the part or she does not and she in fact does not. People are free to decide whatever they want on God's green earth is attractive or not, but there's a specific set of traits and looks that we tend to use in the west.

So is butch just a physical thing? Are particular personality traits also associated? I'm asking because just looking at Cora and even Cassandra the last thing I think of is butch. There just women who happen to have short hair. Krem (who I know is a he) seems to fit the stereotype better and that has less do with his hairstyle and more do with his voice.

But there is a difference in thinking your opinions are better than others and see your opinions as fact. If we are going to talk about opinions, we are by default going to agree that nobody is more right then anybody else. If we instead are going to talk about facts, we must use ONLY fact as basis, not feelings, opinions or anything similar. And by all that I mean: I'm right and those that disagree are lesser beings.
