Two of my biggest video game crushes are Safiya (who is a woman with no hair) from MotB and Valen (who is a man with long hair) from HotU, so... not an issue for me. Furiosa LI, make it happen Bioware. You mean Jack? I agree personality is better then hair, I mean I romanced Iron Bull-and just based on appearance is just a nope. He's too muscular, he has an eye missing, and is just not my ideal at all. However, when he gives me that look and says just the right things... I thought Bull's injuries made him more appealing, personally. The eye, the bum knee, the missing fingers... dude went through hell and came out alive, awwyiss.

I'm pretty much a xenophilic (no shame) in these games so hairstyle is the least of my problems as long the character has a good amount of content and is important to the story.

To bring this back to romance talk.. since this seems important to some: hands up those for LIs hairstyle is dealbreaker! Or is to completely non-issue to you?Personally, I don't think it's very high in the list. I have many things I prioritize over hair on LIs, though of course I have preferences. Then, I'm mostly looking romancing aliens in ME so hair doesn't quite matter there anyways Oh god, Fenris' hair even the guy who designed him, Matt Rhodes, was ashamed of it. I remember I needed some time to get used to it. Right? How about that one Fenris concept art EYY GURL WHAT YO NAME IS???

However, when he gives me that look and says just the right things... I had the opposite reaction. He looks fucking fantastic, but every word out of his mouth in the romance made me want to slap the guy. Can we transplant dem shoulders onto someone who's actually sweet, please? In my mind Iron Bull is secretly a big softie that loves cuddles (mind you he does like his kink stuff too, but yeah). He gives me enough daw romantic moments that I feel my head cannon is justifiable (at least to me which is mostly all that matters).

We are so from different planets. Yeah. I prefer to assume I'm secretly an Alien. It would make so much of my life make more sense. Or maybe I'm the alien, I'm certainly attracted to them.. some of them. Oh man, speaking of being an alien, I would LOOOOOVE to play as an alien! Though I don't think ME will EVER be that franchise.

I would love a Mass Effect game where the main character wasn't human. I would prefer that to choosing which species to play as though, because the animation issues in Inquisition were really rough for most of the non-human quizzy's. I mean even elf males have that arm thing...arms aren't meant to sink into the rib cage...it's ain't right!

I know, but I'll eat that eyecandy nonetheless!

Honestly, I feel like playersexual romances were best because there was simply no concern about whether you could or couldn't romance someone. You just picked which among them you connected with best, and that was all you needed to do. I get that it's not "realistic" in terms of characters or development, but then remember how people flew into a rage over a mod that let people romance Dorian as a girl? Yeah, that was dumb. The rage, not the mod. (And before anyone tries to call me out, yes, I am a dude, who's gay) One of the problems I have with player-sexuality is inconsistency in sexual orientations. Like in DA2, if you play a female Hawke who romances Anders, you wouldn't know that Karl and him were in relationship. Meanwhile if you play a male Hawke, Anders would tell you that. It's like Schrodinger's sexuality: straight if PC is female, bi if PC is male. I prefer all-bi approach, where the characters are bi, regardless of PC's gender. All of the love interest in DA2 are, now at least after the decision to move away from player sexuality, are canonically bisexual. In the cases of Anders and Isabella this was established before DA2. Anders is more unique on that front as he expressed interest in women in Awakenings it was not until DA2 that an interest in men was established. He wasn't a blank slate like Merrill who also appeared in Origins. Edit: All love interest with the exception of Sebastian.

I'm not one for long hair on guys, mostly because I think most guys can't pull it off. Man buns are sometimes good, but I don't really like long flowing Thor-like hair. I really don't like moustaches. Beards are fine, stubble is great, but moustaches need to burn in hell.
EDIT: Oh, and no dreads please. Curly is fine, but only up to the point of Liam.

Gawd, what is this long hair on dudes hate club. I hope DA4 delivers some amazing haircuts if MEA is unable to... I sometimes think that long hair suits a guy, but long hair itself even in that case generally causes me to consider that man completely unattractive. For example, Orlando Bloom is handsome. Legolas does absolutely nothing for me. Chris Hemsworth is hot, especially with his new haircut. Thor? Urgh that hair. It suits Thor, I just don't like it. Bearing in mind we're talking purely physical appearance. Long hair obviously has no effect on how attractive their personality is.

Suddenly disliking something or someone based on their sexuality, if I'm reading you right, seems a bit... well... you know... 🤔

I don't have a strong opinion on long hair with men. I love the Thor hair though. Thor was...reason enough to watch the first avengers movie even though I don't much care for comic book movies.

So this is only tangentially related to romance, but... I just watched parts of the the PeeBee loyalty mission video, and I have to say, I'm disappointed. I wanted a more sexier dude-voice for S.A.M. He sounds to modulated. I wanted the option to pretend that my Ryder was secretly crushing on the AI in his head, but with how overly filtered and modulated S.A.M. sounds, I think I'm going to have a little more trouble doing that now. I anticipated this actually The devs have seemed to be very consciously referring to SAM as "it" -- not "he."

He is not boring, TRUST ME; he goes through so much and grows so much as a result of it. He starts off as so gung-ho for his country, but by the end of the film he's already breaking the rules (to save Bucky of couse ) and then by the time you get to Civil War he is completely against the establishment, and I'm just, I'm so proud of him, and I so look up to him and just adore his character! *breathes deeply* *steps off soap box*
